Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

There were 15 of us at the chateau last weekend and we had a blast! It is absolutely unbelievable. Beautifully decorated and historic! I highly recommend for families and friends who want to get out of the hustle and bustle of Paris and spend some quiet time relaxing in the country! There's a tennis court, pool, bikes, ping pong table, grill, etc. What a fabulous weekend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our weekend at Chateau de Servigny was an absolute dream. The communication from the homeowners and caretakers of the chateau was very clear, warm and friendly. The home was very charming and extremely well maintained. We particularly enjoyed exploring the grounds and the history of the surrounding areas. The D-Day beaches are within an easy 30 minute drive and there are plenty of guide books and information in the chateau to assist you with planning an outing in Normandy. The history of the chateau itself is rich as well as it was the site of the signing of the surrender of the city of Cherbourg after the D-Day invasions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and honestly we were wishing we didn't have to leave!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our early July stay at fabulous Chateau de Servigny was perfect. Our family included three generations and from age six to seventy-five we voted our visit to be our best vacation ever. The chateau is beautifully appointed to the smallest detail, yet so very comfortable and almost childproof. Francoise, our gracious housekeeper, warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour. We felt at home immediately and even made dinner the first night - and the next five as well! On our last night, we had a delicious dinner prepared by Gwenaelle and we must report that her floating island is superb. Many nights after dinner, the fittest among us played tennis as it stayed light until 11 PM. The Monday market in Briquebic is not to be missed. We picked up some grilled sausages and had a memorable al fresco lunch at Servigny. The new museum at Utah Beach is very well done and the seaside towns of Barfleur, St. Vaast and Barnville-Carteret were charming. One highlight was our treasure hunt inside and on the grounds of the Chateau. Clues included, 'the jaundiced clock', 'the portal to nowhere, 'the hall where the Chinese reign'. Arnaud is the perfect host, patiently answering all our questions. We applaud his beautiful restoration of the Chateau and the comfortable ambience he has created which ensures a delightful visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We were able to stay 2 weeks at Servigny, and enjoyed every minute. My father, who was a member of the 29th Inf at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, was also present. It made his "last trip to France" very memorable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The children could not stop saying “WOW”! The villa was perfect in every way and well thought out. Very European but had every comfort that an American could want. Location was excellent and all services were performed perfectly. There was plenty to do and the weather was perfect. What more can you ask for? She said there is no negative feed back. They loved the entire experience!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Sir, The Danish VIKINGS (read past Normans) are back again in Denmark and would like to express their gratitude for having the opportunity to rent your beautiful Chateau de Servigny. We enjoyed every minute at the lovely and well restored castle & its environment and surroundings and we will recommend it to other Scandinavians with great pleasure. Especially we would like to emphasis our charming hostess of the day, i.e. Francoise, who always was there and at the same time discreetly was not there. She is a great ambassador for you and we are very thankful to her! In your guestbook, we tried to make a poem as well in French as English, but the shaky handwriting of the eldest of the Vikings – in casu the undersigned – were perhaps not legible, therefore the poem is repeated below. Pour Familie de Pontac! Il pleut sur la ville, comme il pleure dans mon coeur. Quelle est cette langueur, qui penetre mon coeur. Ah, qui belle est cette Chateau de Servigny avec tout la grandeur et beauté Normandy! We fought on the beaches with long gone men, and found time in this book to sharpen our pen. To thank you for a lovely time and Francoise, Who made the whole into a gorgeous” oase”! Thanks again for a great event and lovely holiday.Did you find this review helpful?
