  Just returned from a wonderful week in Palm Springs and staying in this house made our vacation. We were celebrating our anniversary and Marc and Jeff had a bottle of champagne with anniversary wishes waiting for us in the fridge. What a wonderful surprise. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen has upgraded appliances that are very nice. We traveled from South Florida to LAX and then drove, so it was late by the time we got to the house, but we immediately went for a dip in the wonderful pool and after relaxing a bit, fell into a very comfortable king bed. The supermarket "club cards" provided saved us a lot of money and was a wonderful touch. Marc and Jeff made sure we had all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and it was. If I return to Palm Springs again, it will definately be to this house.

  This house is beautiful. It's immaculate and beautifully decorated on a quiet street with lots of privacy. This house is positioned so even if the desert wind is blowing you are tucked away in an alcove by the pool soaking up sun without feeling gusty wind! The kitchen is so well appointed there are things you didn't even know you needed...and there they are. We had the best time and it's close to downtown! I own a time share in Palm Springs but now much prefer this private getaway!

  My family and I stayed at the Desert Gem for 10 days over the holidays and we had a great time. The house far exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness and quality of the entire experience. The house is beautifully furnished and immediately felt like home. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked almost all of our meals at the house, and ate in the attached dining area or outside. The best part of our experience was the saline pool...it was so relaxing to spend time in and take in the beautiful mountain views, and the yard is beautiful at night. Marc was incredibly responsive and accommodating, and this house truly is his second home, not just an income property. Overall, you couldn't hope for more out of a Palm Springs vacation house, and I hope to be back soon!

  We had a wonderful time here but the description the listing provided was modest. Beautiful property, super location. Everything we needed and more was provided. Very clean and obviously maintained with pride. Very nice, private back yard with great pool. Large, very comfortable bedrooms. Linens and towels were new, clean and comfortable You could not hope for nicer, more responsive owners or more generous hosts. Answers to our questions were almost instantaneous and always very helpful They were very well prepared for our arrival and met us with information regarding the operation of everything provided, as well as the location of grocery stores, restaurants, coffee houses, shopping and sites to see. All financial transactions were conducted quickly and easily with lots of options and our security deposit was returned to us within 36 hours of our return. Obviously, we would most definitely stay here again! This listing is an EXCELLENT value!

  My wife and I, and another couple just returned home from an 8-night stay in this "Desert Gem". We located the house from the airport easily - it's very handy to and from the airport. We found the house extremely charming and decorated just as you'd hope a 'desert home' to be! From the terra cotta tiled floors, stucco wall treatments, recently updated kitchen, everything was perfect. The owners don't miss any of the little details that matter! Luxurious, recently purchased towels and linens were waiting for us, along with welcoming notes and instructions for absolutely everything. The backyard pool area was our favourite hangout of the entire trip! The lounging area gives the options of baking in the full sunshine or hiding in the covered shade. And the backyard is completely private - we didn't see or hear a soul in the backyard once. We used the barbeque a few times, when we decided to eat in. They left a brochure package with suggestions for restaurants too, and we took them up on at least one of their recommendations - and weren't disappointed. We golfed 3 times, all in the La Quinta area. From the house, that's only a 25 minute drive, and we actually enjoyed the trips to and from! On Thursday nights they have a street market in downtown Palm Springs, which is quite close to the house. We also 'spent' one night at the casino - within a few minutes by car. And if you're looking for great shopping, the huge Premium Outlet mall is in Cabazon, a 20+ minute drive north of the house - which puts the house in a perfect mid-location between golfing to the south and shopping to the north! For a kick, we even found Frank Sinatra's original Palm Springs home, about 2 minutes away from this house! Of course we had to do the touristy drive-by... The owners were outstanding as far as communication. They quickly and willingly answered all of our questions before our trip, and while we were down there kept in communication via email to answer any further questions we had. It's nice to rent from owners who really care about their home and their guests! (Don't worry, they didn't hassle us, we initiated any of the contact we had, with questions.) The four of us would give our vacation at Desert Gem a 5 out of 5. The house isn't new, but it's got everything one could want, and the style and era is perfect for a desert getaway! We are all looking forward to a return visit - SOON!

  This place is awesome! Great location and close to everything in Palm Springs. The house was very comfortable and spacious. The pool is the best! It's big and deep and I loved that it's saline. I cannot wait to come back here again!

  This house is great!! I will recommend to my friends to stay here when in Palm Springs. Everything you need is in the house. Just pack your cloths and a swim suite and you are set for your stay. The pool is very private, the back yard is very nice to hang out in the sun or shade. Very relaxing place to stay. It's Close to down town so if you want to go out to shop or dine it's a short drive. The BBQ out by the pool is a great place to cook so you don't have to leave the house. I will defiantly be going back here.

  "Perfect relaxation!" I stayed at the Desert Gem last month and loved it. The home is spotless and comfortable, and the saltwater pool is to die for (I spent most of my time there!). Palm Springs was hot, but the house was an oasis with easy access to shopping and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

  This charming house is in a great location - quiet neighbourhood yet close to everything. The house is fully equipped, nicely decorated, high-end finishes, great barbecue and gourmet kitchen. We were even inspired to have a dinner party during our stay. It was my first time in a saline swimming pool, hard to go back to chlorine. The owners obviously take pride in their home and are well prepared for vacation rentals. All the necessary information regarding running the house was well laid out ie. location of light switches, pool pump, air conditioner, etc. We settled in immediately and started our vacation without any difficulties. This will definitely be our "go to" accommodation for future trips to Palm Springs.
