Windcrest's stunning panoramic view will blow you away. This romantic getaway offers all the comforts and amenities of home on the island paradise of St John. Both suites are fully air conditioned, well appointed (including WiFi) and tastefully decorated. The common pool shares Windcrest's forever view over three bays to St. Croix, forty miles to the south. Windcrest is ideally located above the south shore and Westin Resort providing island serenity a short drive from the famous National Park beaches and quaint Cruz Bay.
Choose the Loft or Garden Suite. The suites are situated above and below creating complete privacy with separate parking and entrances. For two (2) couples vacationing together Windcrest provides a short garden walk between the rental suites.
In the Loft Suite, the expansive sliding glass doors and arched windows bring the view indoors - even to the queen-sized bed. A shaded and open sunshine deck wraps around the Loft Suite and is complete with hot tub and gas grill. The loft can be fully air-conditioned or you can enjoy the tradewinds that cool it naturally. The cathedral ceiling, gracious, and well appointed living area, create a charming and comfortable retreat.
The Garden Suite has the same amazing forever view. This well designed space includes a queen size mahogany captain's bed built into an incredible volcanic rock wall. The chef designed kitchen leads out to the covered deck for alfresco dining. The Garden Suite has a small office for those that need to keep in touch while in paradise. Air conditioning and soft, comfortable furniture for relaxing complete this vacation haven.
The hot tub is exclusive to the Loft Suite. The pool is shared by the exclusive 10 unit complex, guests will often have the pool to themselves.

Windcrest is a cute deck wrapped detached townhouse with an expansive view of St. John and Great Cruz Bay. This was a perfect location for a traveling bear to unwind and relax. Just sitting on the deck watching the view (or soaking in the hot tub) is a fabulous way to forget all your worries.
As those who have visited St. John will tell you, St. John (and most of the USVI) is very hilly and the streets are mostly unmarked, so it was very nice of of Vicky to meet us at the ferry and guide us to Windcrest. Driving on the LEFT side of the road, took a bit of getting used to, but within a day or two, my VRBO buddies and I were getting around just like native St. Johnians. We did have to keep an eye out for the local wildlife however, the donkeys, goats, sheep, and especially the friendly iguanas.
The beaches on St. John are world class and there are many to choose from within a short drive - so bring your snorkeling gear, or take some snorkeling lessons while you are here. After a relaxing dinner at one of St. John's many fine restaurants, return to Windcrest and enjoy viewing the brilliant Caribbean stars from the deck before making your way up the spiral staircase to the loft bedroom. After a good nights sleep, awaken in the morning to a cool ocean breeze and the fantastic view right from your bed.
Windcrest comes equipped with many thoughtful items to make you feel right at home: fresh cut flowers, beach towels, ice chest, beach chairs, St. John guide books and helpful tips on where to eat and what to see while on St. John.

I have been loving living in the Virgin Islands for the past 25 years. For 18 wonderful years I lived on St. John where I was the owner of Open Palms Massage & Yoga. In 2004 I made the jump to St. Croix and many St. Johnians have done the same . I now keep massage and yoga part time and focus on selling real estate and managing my real estate investments. Along with renovating my beautiful old house I enjoy all aspects of the beautiful Caribbean. I take every chance I get to visit St. John
Why the Owner Chose Cruz Bay
I chose to buy Windcrest Villa on St. John because I fell in love with St. John the moment I set foot on this island in 1985. Having a vacation rental on St. John is a great way to share this magical island with many people.

My husband and I just returned from 9 days at the Windcrest Villa, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The unit is clean and conveniently located to town. (You should rent a car, however, if staying here). The view is nice, and we enjoyed having breakfast and some dinners on the covered porch. The kitchen is small but very nice. This unit is perfectly designed for a couple. It feels very private. My only complaint is that I got many bug bites at night on my arms and face, and I guess there were no-see-ums that managed to come through the screens. Be sure to take bug repellent. I don't fault the owner on this, as all of the windows have good screens and the unit is very well maintained. I think it is just St. John, and the bugs really love me. My husband did not get bitten to the same extent, so it's probably true that the sweeter your blood, the more they love you! :) We looked at the pool (be aware-- it is not right at the property-- it is across the street) and it had a lot of leaves in it. It's a nice option to have, but with all of the fine beaches on the island we didn't feel the need to use it. You will love the beaches on this island. The snorkeling was the best we've ever experienced. Vickie is a very responsible owner and we had no problems while there. We would recommend this place to one and all. Enjoy!

Too bad about the no-see-ums but you are right about having sweet blood. If you know you have it, bring the bug spray. The view from Windcrest and the amazing beaches of St. John are definitely reasons to return. The pool is a great option and the 2 minute walk across the road used only by fellow owners of the 10 units in the complex is less than in most resorts. I will keep up the good work, thanks for noticing.

There were many pros and a very short list of cons, so the pros def outweigh the cons: Pros (many): The owner and the property manager were very helpful, nice and extremely responsive to e-mails. The place was really cute and clean, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The wireless was pretty decent, and we had no problems connecting most of the time. The parking was easy, and it wasn't too difficult to get up to the place even though there were hills. I still recommend getting a Jeep though because it made getting around town and the beaches much easier. The AC was a plus, but we didn't need to use it very much because there were so many fans in the place and it wasn't very hot when we went there. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking tools that we could need and the place had tons of towels and beach-related things (e.g., chair and cooler) for us to use. There was a community pool, but we ended up not using it because there were beaches everywhere! It was very close to town (about a 7 minute drive) and conveniently located near pretty nice beaches. I don't think you can get here without a car though. Cons (only two): There were millipedes EVERYWHERE! On the first day, they were just in the front of the house, but then somehow (despite our effort to close the doors and windows), they got into the house and DIED EVERYWHERE, in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. We found a live one in our bed one night and my fiance woke up to one crawling on his back! I wasn't able to sleep at night because of the fear that I'd wake up with them on me. They are harmless though, and as far as I know, do not bite or sting, but still, they were gross. Also, our bedding was stained and kind of gross - they need to replace the linens.

My husband and I just returned from our amazing stay at the Windcrest Villa. We stayed for about 8 nights in the Garden suite. The apartment is lovely, clean and comfy. We enjoyed spending mornings drinking coffee on the terrace and evenings grilling and hanging on the terrace as well. The view is beautiful. The location is perfect, so close to town and near the grocery markets, as well as all the best beaches. Vicky and Deborah, were both extremely organized and helpful in making our stay perfect as possible. I highly recommend the Windcrest for your stay in Cruz Bay, St. John!

My wife and I spent four nights in the Garden Suite of the Windcrest Villa in late July 2011. It was the perfect getaway for us. The Garden Suite is ideal for a couple looking for a place to call home while visiting St. John. We started our day with breakfast on the deck almost every morning looking over Great Cruz Bay (The Westin). We rented a Jeep (which is highly recommended when staying here) and explored all the islands beaches and trails. The unit's location is convenient to both the north shore beaches as well as the south shore beaches in the Virgin Islands National Park. After exploring the island for the day, we returned to the unit in the afternoon to get ready for a night in Cruz Bay. We started each evening with a drink on the deck. We decided to eat dinner in Cruz Bay each night. A five minute drive to Cruz Bay made it simple to get back and forth from town. I'd recommend the Garden Suite for anyone hoping to experience and discover St. John. It's well located, very clean and has the amenities (including a shared pool overlooking Great Cruz Bay) you'll need to enjoy and explore the island. Plus Vicky and her staff did an excellent job ensuring our stay was perfect. When you go, be sure to read through the book St. John Off the Beaten Path provided by in the Garden Suite. It's a tremendous resource for exploring the island's great trails, lesser known (but just as amazing) beaches, and best snorkeling spots. Enjoy!

We stayed for the first time in March of 04 and can't wait to go back, res. already made for Feb 05. We wanted for nothing,and those nights!!!Oh those Caribbean nights, with breezes coming in over our loft bedroom, waking to a view that took our breath away. Went to lots of beaches, great snorkling-saw a sea turtle! Perfect.

Windcrest is a beautiful property. The location is very convient to beaches, shopping and dining. You will need a car/jeep for the island. The area where the villa is located is very quiet and the views are just plain SPECTULAR!! Highly recommend Windcrest villa.

We recently stayed in the "Garden Suite" and it was absolutely fabulous. Even though this is a duplex, it is very private. There were people in the other suite while we were there, but we never saw or heard them. The pool is great-again, even though it is shared with others, we never saw anyone else in it-just us! The proximity to Cruz Bay and the beaches was perfect-close enough to take advantage of the fun, but it was just far enough away to be very quiet-not to mention the hillside location gives you a view to die for. The suite is a studio, but with the smart layout feels much bigger than the pictures show. The suite was equipped with everything two people could need for a great vacation. Did I mention the view???!!!
