  This unit was at the back of the complex with Mostly views of the parking lot. You would never want to sit on the lanai. I would say this unit was funky. Like someone had started to remodel than stopped. The couch in the living room was very uncomfortable and the beds were not much better. The front door lock needs to be replaced. It was a challenge every time to get in.

  The condo and property were acurately described. The overall property (all buildings, etc) was clean and well maintained. The property staff were very friendly. The condo owner, and property manager were very easy to work with, and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I would recommend this property to friends/relatives. This is our fifth trip to Maui, so we have our favorite places to go to when we are there.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

  The condo was great big enough for everyone and very close to the beach and shopping.

  Great two story condo at a very affordable price. The unit was better than I expected. Clean and well maintained. The beach is across the street and the condo is within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Good central location to drive anywhere on the island. If you love birds, you’ll love this location. The birds are very active in the morning—they’re better than an alarm clock. If you want to try some authentic Hawaiian and island style food, I recommend Da Kitchen, which is located a few blocks from the condo. Bring your appetite because they serve a lot of food. If you want love fresh mangoes, I recommend Yee’s fruit stand. They sell 4-5 different types of them. They’re located next to Longs Drugs, a few blocks from the condo. We had a great time and highly recommend this condo.

  Very nice apartment, located in furthest building from road so we heard no noise (except birds!) Lots of shops, restaurants, and a grocery store within walking distance. Also a great base location to visit the rest of the island. The property is beautiful and well kept up; the first morning I saw a guy raking up flower blossoms that fell off a tree the day before. Try King's Chinese restaurant (a little roadside stand)about a half mile north.

  I will be arriving here on Feb 13th and have to say that the owner has had numerous email contacts with me as well as his on site manager and they have been super helpful with all of my questions and travel arrangements. In fact the onsite manager has had more contact and help for me than any other condo Ive rented so far and we haven't even met her in person yet. Anyway I will follow up once we arrive but just wanted to let everyone know that they have been very easy and super helpful to work with.

  We would not recommend this unit to anyone. We booked this unit in March 2011 after the owner gave us written permission for a late checkout of 8:00 pm. This was a very important factor since our flight was at 9:40 pm. In November, seven months after our deposit had been paid, he emailed us, saying he was sorry but we had to be out by 12:30 as he had someone coming in at 2:00 that afternoon. We would have preferred finding a new condo but did not think we would get a refund, nor have time to book another condo. The owner charges to have this unit cleaned, but it was definitely not cleaned prior to our stay. It was actually VERY DIRTY. The upstairs bedroom had hundreds of very tiny bugs crawling on the railing next to the bed, and down the stairs, requiring us to spray insecticide. Even the kitchen countertops had bugs. The upstairs sink and bathtub had filthy black rings all around that could have been wiped off. Mould and mildew were around the top of the tub where the caulking was falling off, the light switches were dirty, and the baseboards throughout had a considerable layer of dirt. The crease in the couch had a lot of sand and food crumbs, and both the couch and chair were dirty and stained. We placed blankets and towels on them to avoid touching them. The area rug was very dirty and stained as well, resulting in very dirty socks and feet. It is unfortunate that there is nothing positive about this unit. WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS MAUI VISTA CONDO.

  Owner response: Hopefully everyone will look at the other 4 out of 5 and 5 out of 5 star reviews. I will gladly oblige this guest as to never renting to them again. Say what you will about me the owner but my property manager did everything possible to help these ungrateful guests. They changed flights to come early, not telling anyone. They said they were coming straight to the condo but ended up going to the store, making my manager wait. The bugs they refer to were ants that were taken care of however when you travel to an island paradise you are going to get some type of insect or bug. Sand on a couch, probably guilty of that, we are 5 minutes from the beach. You were willing to take a half days rent off your bill for granting you a 2 hour late check out, and not an all day check out, but you forgot to mention that. Next time try the Four Seasons. Maybe they could accommodate you?? Doubtful

  We've just returned from two weeks at the Maui Vista. This was our third trip to Maui but our first stay at the Maui Vista. It did not disappoint. It was the first place we've stayed where we were greeted in person by the manager. She showed us around, made sure there were treats and movies on hand for our family and checked in with us later in our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The building and grounds were well maintained. There appeared to be long-term stay people in the building, it felt like a community that cared.Even though it's close to the main road there is no road noise - only the birds chirping! The unit was as described and truly appreciated. It was nice to have a king size bed in the master bedroom and the loft gave our girls some privacy. This was also the first condo we've had that had a washer/dryer in the unit as opposed to coin-operated units we've had to use at other locations. Perfect for a family! Because of the unit's central location we were able to spend a few hours at any of the nearby beaches in the morning, come back for lunch and then head off in another direction for the rest of the day. Sunsets at Charlie Young Beach will be remembered! We always leave Maui with plans for our next trip. We would gladly stay here again and will recommend it to anyone looking for a great location in a clean, affordable, well maintained property.

  Location was the best. Right across from our favorite beach. Condo was very affordable, within walking distance of stores and restaurants.

  This was our third visit to Maui so we decided to try using VRBO. From the very beginning we had a good experience with this rental. John replied to us promptly in all of our communications and Janice the manager, was always quick with getting us the information we needed and making sure were comfortable during our stay. The condo was decorated very nicely and made us feel right at home. The downstairs bed was very comfortable to sleep on which was very nice to have when on vacation! We were pleasantly surprised to see that the dining table there now is actually bigger than the one in the photo which was nice because there were 3 of us. We loved having a washer and dryer available to us as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The location was great too! We enjoy being in Kihei...we feel more centrally located to the different areas we visit on the island. We were also within walking distance to several nice beaches, shopping and restaurants. We liked that it was an end unit, allowing more privacy, it was quieter and had more windows! There were also chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and more available for our use. The amenities and extra space was worth the price that we paid to stay here. We would definitely stay again. Mahalo!!!

  I stayed here and had a wonderful time!!! It's in the perfect location!! Shops restaurants and bars are all within walking distance and OF COURSE a wonderful beach!! The condo is lovely, clean and very comfortable! I stayed with a group of friends and we all loved it! I can't wait to plan another trip! If you what to enjoy Maui from a comfortable spot. Stay here!!! The views alone are priceless!!

  Our condo was so inviting, and easy to find. The grounds were very nicely kept, elevators provide nice access to the third level which we stayed. We swam in one of the 3 pools on the property, and I picked daily flowers for my hair on the grounds:) Our condo housed 5 of us! One couple in the private bedroom; two more upstairs, in the balcony type bedroom; and one on the couch, that easily tranforms to a bed. A lovely view of the ocean, birds, and sunshine off the balcony, and a large window that can be left open, to feel the warm breeze! Pretty much everything was included, and very clean! Large flat screen tv. kitchen everything! and internet access. And they have some added bonuses, like boogie boards, and coolers to take to the beach. They were very understanding, and willing to work with us with our check out time as well. We also used one of the BBQ sites on the grounds, and had a nice visit at the picnic table while our food cooked, and we ate down there as well; getting to know the neighbors and were people are visiting from! Another wonderful perk is that the ocean is just a few blocks away! As well as dining, music, and tattoos! My boyfriend and I both got a tatt when we were on the island! Anyways, a great experience, and adventure!

  I RECENTY SPEANT SEVEN DAYS AT THIS CONDO IN THE MAUI VISTA AND WHAT A PLEASURE IT WAS TO FIND A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. ON PRIVOUS TRIPS TO MAUI, I STAYED IN EXPENSIVE HOTELS AND CONDOS WHICH WERE STUDIO APPARTMENTS (THE KITCHEN IS IN THE BEDROOD). THIS WAS A NEW EXPERIENCE FOR ME TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A SEPARATE BEDROOM AND TWO BATHROOMS. MY GIRLFRIEND AND I LOVED IT. WE HAD THE OPTION OF EATING IN THE CONDO OR DINNING OUT. CENTRALLY LOCATED THIS CONDO IS IN THE HEART OF KIHEI WITH A BEAUTIFULL BEACH ACROSS THE STREET, CLOSE TO GREAT RESTURANTS, SHOPS AND ALL THE ACTION MAUI HAS TO OFFER. THE WASHER AND DRYER IN THE CONDO AND THE NO COST INTERNET SERVICE, AIR CONDITIONING WERE OTHER AMMENETIES WE APPRICATED. BEACH TOWELS, CHAIRS AND BOOGIE BOARDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS USE. EACH BUILDING IN THE MAUI VISTA HAS ITS OWE SWIMMING POOL WHICH ARE NEVER CROWED. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND A STAY AT THIS PROPERTY, WE WILL WE BE BACK NEXT YEAR. ALOHA AND MAHALO.

  Location was excellent and the personal assistance from condo manager Janice was beyond our wildest expectations. We are Native people and I had been concerned about how we would be received in a place like this but the concerns were completely unfounded and we were very well treated by everyone. Tiny little parrots entertained us every morning from our balcony and the skies were beautiful.We went home with wonderful memories.
