We had a wonderful week in June in this lovely home. The master suite is fantastic. The white washed floor boards and pale blue walls made the suite feel like you were escaping to another place. The view of the Atlantic from the private porch off the master was great. As a family of five, everyone had their own space. Walking a 100 yards to the beach was great each a.m. The house was nicely stocked with a wagon to pull all our stuff plus an umbrella and things for the kids. The outdoor shower was also a plus. We had local family over a few nights and there were several places in the home to entertain. I will say if you have small children its probably not the right rental for you as the master suite is a bit isolated from the rest of the home. That's a plus for some but probably not for those with small children. What was also very nice was that the owners were very laid back which I can't say about all owners. They were very responsive if we needed them but otherwise, they made getting in, the info about the home and other logistics very easy which was refreshing. June 2011Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our family spent the Christmas holidays here . It is a very spacious, beautifully furnished home right across from the beautiful private beach. Our family consists of two adult couples - one with an infant child- and three single adults. There was plenty of room for us all and we all had a good bit of privacy. This place is great for any larger group because it allows for a lot of "private" space. The owner is extremely friendly and accomodating. The Moorings neighborhood is warm and friendly - our "neighbors", who are owners, introduced themselves and made us welcome in the neighborhood. We "dined in" more than we had planned because the kitchen is so well equipped and the dining room is so beautifulle furnished. Even our few cold days were fun and comfortable. We highly recommend this property. Thaanks again to the friendly, accomating owner.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Myself and six girlfriends rented this home for a long weekend to celebrate turning 40! We couldn't have been more comfortable if we were in our own homes. The house is beautiful, as well as, comfortable and clean. The owner had anything we could possibly need to cook, relax or play......kayak, bicycles, ping pong table, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Although not direct oceanfront, we had a great oceanview from the second floor and the walk across the private street was short enough for us to return to the house for refills on our Pina Coladas! It was an AMAZING weekend at the PERFECT beach house!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

About the owner: Having spent over 25 years in Vero I am nearly native ! Now that my three children are in college I am concentrating my energies and attentions on my Mother,my Polo School,the family farm and preserving Vero Beach's historic icons and artifacts as the Chairman of our city's first Historic Preservation Commission. In short-I have no time to fully enjoy this beach house that has been a special home to my family but I look forward to other warm-weather loving guests doing so instead ! The reviews from well-pleased friends of 1025 Reef Road will be my new beach experience, and I welcome your interest.
Why the Owner Chose Moorings:
This house reminded me more of a true 'beach house' in style and spirit than any other and was located directly across from the Beach preserve,meaning we are 'oceanfront' in that there are no homes between us and the beach . The Park is a protected tortoise habitat and you see them out roaming about nearly every time you stroll to the beach . We also have the Loggerhead sea turtles here in season,on our beach,nesting at night.The beach in this section of Vero is wide,quiet and very private.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This is a large classically decorated private home with three separate living areas We have a Kayak,beach chairs and fishing equipment here for guests to use and I plan on leaving a few bicycles as well. Anyone with an interest in horses or polo is welcome to visit the farm, and lessons or practice chukkars can also be arranged . Visiting players can arrange to stay beachside and stable their strings with us at Ashwood, where we have stabling for 27 horses.
