The Lakehouse is a wonder place to relax,fish,swim and in the winter ski or snowboard. Our family still uses the Lake house which is Lake Front on Highland Lakes NJ.We hope our guests feel as relaxed and have as much fun as we do. The family is growing with now grand kids enjoying the boating,swimming and fishing. They are now starting to ski at Mt Peter and having a really fun time.This is why we a child friendly and dog friendly home.

Peace and quiet are very much enjoyed here since the lake is a quiet lake. No gas motors are allowed.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This is a four season area with 3 near by ski areas, Mt Creek, Hidden Valley and Mt. Peter. As well as the view of the beauty of the mountains as the seasons change. Summer is most delightful and offers relaxation as well as many things to do in the area.

My friends and I stayed at this house over New Years weekend. The house was fantastic and looked even better in person! It was super clean and was literally 10 minutes from the base of the mountain. We had a question the first night and the owner addressed is within 20 minutes. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone, in fact, I may find myself staying here a few more times this season.

This house was more than perfect--absolutely charming and comfortable, gorgeous lake view, spacious and immaculately clean. We immediately relaxed as we walked through the front door--everything was just lovely and we didn't want to leave! It was a fabulous setting for our get-away--peaceful and beautiful. We can't wait to come back. It was a special weekend that we won't soon forget. An extra thanks to the owners who are very sweet, competent and really thought of it all! Highly, highly recommended!

Peaceful, quiet but with enough for children to do

We spent a wonderful week in July with three boys, 18, 16 and 12 on a visit from Sevenoaks in the UK. The house is easy to use, comfortable for at least 6 with plenty of room inside and out on the deck leading down to the dock. The lake is safe - and warm - for swimming and the four boats and canoes are perfect for tours/gentle races depending on the mood. The boys were in heaven, they could go off for an hour or so and we knew they'd be safe. We needed peace and quiet and we got it. There's very little traffic on the lake, often we were the only boats on the water and one morning we saw a small bear having a paddle. A bear in New Jersey, news to most in Britain! There's a couple of decent small shops within a mile, everyone was helpful and we took in a drive-in movie under a thunderstorm just over the border in New York, about 8 miles away. All this in a house 60 minutes from Manhatten, I know, we did it one day. The house had everything we needed for the week, with lots of thoughtful touches for ease of use and a relaxing time. We had a great week, this is a little gem of a place, really lovely.
Recommended for:Families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
