My wife and were shocked when we walked into this condo! We had stayed in other condos in the Maui Vista complex in the past and had many complaints with them. This condo was spotless, was decorated in a light, island themed, airy manner (as opposed to the dark decor in many of them). Everything worked, lights, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, everything. This has not been the case in others. It's updated and modern. Great bathroom ! The bed is the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Great view ! Could watch boats, and with binoculars even whales surfacing. Nice touches throughout, upon our arrival we noted the toilet paper and paper towels were even folded into a point like at nicer hotels! There was even a cd from Hawaiian superstar Izzy, in the cd player! The owner is terrific to deal with! No complaints at all! (well maybe the screen on the bedroom window could be better) Also, the unit is very secure, which is definately NOT the case with the other units we've stayed in. Deadbolts, keypad entry, etc.

I had a GREAT vacation at this condo! The listing was accurate as were the photos and location. It had everything - a dishwasher, washer and dryer, giant TV, and beautiful view. Any time I contacted Rommel, the owner, before or after my stay he answered me the same day. The condo was CLEAN! I was amazed after what I have seen from other property owners. It was spotless and there were wonderful amenities like soap and shampoo. Our flight to Maui was delayed and we did not get in until 10 p.m. It was so nice to have a bar of soap waiting for us and a clean bed. I really appreciated the lock system to get into the condo and the deadbolt and another lock once we were in for the night. I did not see any crime on Maui but I like my doors deadbolted at night. And, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! The grounds are perfectly manicured every day. The beach is just across the street and there are many restaurants close by that you will discover. Pita Paradise has everything and has excellent food at a fair price. We also really enjoyed Moose McGillicutty's restaurant. Lahaina is just up the road with all of the whale watching boats (excellent!) and shops and farther north are amazing mountains full of trees that I did not know existed with beautiful ocean views. The pool is visible from the condo lanai. There is a mailbox on the main floor along with machines with snacks. Mornings were spent watching whales off of the lanai. Amazing! Bring a pair of binoculars. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in South Kihei. When I go back I hope this condo is available because I really loved it!

Great Location and View!

This condo could not be more centrally located. Go either way on South Kihei Road to find restaurants, groceries, shops and more. My favourite thing about the condo was the lanai view. We even watched whales breaching in the distance in the water. Across from best beach in Kihei. The sunsets were to die for. Loved the fact that a cooler, boogie boards, chairs, mats, and other gear was provided. Favorite restaurants included Fred’s, Bistro 808, Café o Lei, Coconut Fish Café. Can’t wait to return!

We just spent ten days in Maui. We stayed at property 311857 and loved it. It was my first time to the island and it could not have worked out any better. The location is perfect, it is central to everything. There are definitely more glamourous places to stay, but for my money it was awesome. check in was painless, parking was very close, there was a dolly to load in our groceries etc an elevator. The grounds are well kept and the grill is better then mine at home. The bed is very comfy, we slept well every night. The lanai was my favourite part. Breakfast out there was great. Cocktails in the evening watching the sunset could not have been better. With the money we saved on the condo and not having to eat out, we were able to go on several excursions. On the days we wanted to relax, the wonderful beach across the street (Charley Young) was great to kick back. We packed the provided cooler and watched the whales breaching right from the beach. Every beach we went to had something special to offer. Cafe Ole was our favourite restaurant when we decided to go out to eat and the people at foodland made buying groceries enjoyable. The internet and phone allowed to stay in touch with the ones we left behind in Canada and although we are not TV people we did enjoy the information on channel 7. I am already planning my next trip back and I hope the condo is available again. The owners are delightful to deal with and represent the property honestly. Everything as stated, perfect vacation. Very close to all you need. Condo has very relaxed island feel with many extras for your outside activities. Quiet nights with a very comfortable bed (important to me). Close to so many nice beaches it was hard to make up my mind. I plan to return as soon as I can. Places to eat are all over, but if you like fish tacos hit Coconuts in Kihei the best I've ever had hand down! Thanks to Rommel for the great time.

10 days of bliss - this super close walk to the beach condo is exactly as described and pictured! It is within easy walking distance to food/drinks (did I say shaved ice and cinnamon rolls?!), shopping, surfing/paddle board rentals and more. Very clean, quiet and amenities (e.g., beach gear, bbq and key-less hassle free entry lock) have all been thought through for your maximum enjoyment! Best of all, within 10-15 driving minutes of fantastic snorkeling, groceries and wonderful restaurants!

We were looking for a memorable experience and received more! All the photos depicting the condo interior and lanai were picture-perfect.....we captured on film at least three un- forgettable sunsets from the lanai! We also appreciated the short walk to the beach which was a cut above all the beaches in the area(Charlie Young).super This condo was centrally located-walking distance to excellant restaurants and fresh food markets.We would suggest Cafe o Lei , 808 Deli, & Fat Daddy's for their service and great food. The trip to Hana was a cultural experience to remember.The ladies should take in at least one Swap Meet at Kahului ....too much to cram into two weeks, so we'll be back, folks! we would

Maui Vista vacation

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Maui Vista. Sitting on the Lanai, relaxing, eating meals and looking at the ocean was very relaxing. The unit was clean, (only problem we had was tiny ants in the bathroom) and everything was great. Used the pool a couple of times, and walked across the street (approx 1-2 minute walk) to the beach multiple times daily. Spent some time in Lahaina and took a few sunset cruises, drove to Hana, went up Haleakala and did alot of sight seeing. If our travels take us to Maui again, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thank you very much for your nice review of the condo and your description of how close it is the beach. I am also sorry about the ants. Maui Vista complex has a quarterly pest control and our cleaners also do their part in trying to make sure that ants are not present. But Hawaii being a tropical paradise, ants have been a part of the islands fauna. Thank you and I am glad you will not hesitate to stay in our unit in your future visit to Maui.

Excellent property, being staying at Maui Vista for 30 years. The place has a great view, in the 1st building and is very quiet. You do hear a fair amount of street noise from Kihei Road if you leave the door open, but nothing to be annoyed by. Also the place is very clean, modern, and comfy.

This was the perfect place for us to stay for our week vacation in August 2011. The condo was very comfortable and clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped with everything we could want for a week in paradise. The owners were super helpful and easy to work with and responded immediately to all communications. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We enjoyed our stay! The condo was within 5 walking minutes from a nice beach and was well supplied with beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers etc.The location allowed us to get basically anywhere on the island within 30-40 minutes. We had dinner out a few nights but, we also enjoyed being able to fix meals there. There are a couple of brand new gas grills in the complex that we used several evenings. The kitchen was well supplied with anything you might need. We would love to come back!

One Week In Paradise at Maui Vista

Our honeymoon stay was perfect. The entire condominium has been redone with exacting taste and is very clean and modern. The kitchen has all of the necessities. The beach gear is in the closet and is top-of-the-line. The bed is extremely comfortable. The bathroom, and the especially the shower, tranquil. The shower is very modern and has interesting art incorporated into the tile/stone work. The condo is centrally located in Maui. The three beaches within walking distance each offered their own gifts. Da Kitchen and Fat Daddy's, two excellent local restaurants, are an easy walk. The patio view is perfect and frankly, addictive. Breakfast on the patio in the a.m., and drinks on the patio in the p.m.. The grounds are well manicured and the infrastructure and surrounding areas safe and clean. All shopping is very close, and the grocery stores, Food Land and Safeway are nearby. We are planning to return soon. Aloha and Mahalo. G & J

This property was perfect for us. Directly across the street from the beach, close to lots of shopping and great food. The place is perfectly decorated for a maui vacation. Great communication with owner as well.

This was our first trip to Maui, and we were so glad that we chose to stay in Kihei, and that we landed at Maui Vista condos! After being there and looking at many of the condo complexes in the area, we were very happy with where we were. This condo was very comfortable, and nicely furnished. Nice beach chairs, a small cooler and boogie board were appreciated! Plenty of pillows, sheets and towels. The pool and tennis courts were very nice and well cared for, and we enjoyed using the nice gas grills to bbq fresh fish almost every night. Across the street from NICE beaches, and walking distance to many restaurants and services. We had a wonderful time and will return to Maui again and again! Highly recommend the Pacific Whale Foundation Molikini snorkel/Turtle Town trip, especially for families! The only downside to this condo is a bit of street noise...if you have someone sleeping in the living room it is a bit noisy. Otherwise, a perfect location!

We had a wonderful 3 week stay in this condo. The description is totally accurate. The best location, an easy walk across the street to a great beach or a short walk to surfing and shopping. Easy drive to the grocery store. It was great to have the beach chairs, umbrellas and small cooler to take with us each day. Snorkelling gear was a bit mismatched but very useable.The condo was very clean as is the whole Maui Vista complex. There was always a parking spot close to our building.My only caution is that you do hear the street noise if you have the door open in the evening, its not terrible but the road is busy.The bedroom is at the back so the road noise is not a problem for sleeping. Free WiFi and long distance calls home are a bonus. I highly recommend this condo.We will rent again.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this condo. We definitely plan to come back again. It is clean, comfortable and centrally located in Kihei so it is an easy walk to the beach and to many places where we enjoy eating. The view from the balcony is spectacular. We especially like watching the sunset over the ocean from the balcony or from the beach which is just across the street. The free wireless internet is great. The washer and drier in the condo mean we don't have to pack many clothes. The 808 sandwich shop (to the left on S Kihei Rd) has wonderful sandwiches and the Poncho Burger at the Kihei Cafe (to the right) is one of our favorites. We drive ~1.5 miles to the 5 Palms for Happy hour with great half price sushi and tapas. This time we went to a fun dinner and music session with Willy K at Mulligans on the Blue (golf course in Wailea). We also enjoyed events at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (Slack Key guitar masters this time and the Shanghai Circus last visit). There are always very good shows there (plus you can order a very pleasant dinner to eat at the center before the show). The condo owners are wonderful. Very easy to work with and have many helpful suggestions. This visit we especially enjoyed whale watching with the Pacific Whale Foundation. There were several mothers and babies frolicking in the water during our trip. We also enjoyed the Luau in Old Lahina. The condo also has a very helpful orientation program every morning which provides discount coupons and information about all sorts of trips and places of interest. We are runners and enjoy morning runs along the beach and up the mile plus hill in neighboring Wailea. Running hills in Sacramento now seems much easier! We would recommend grocery shopping at Safeway which is much cheaper than the other super markets we have tried in Kihei.

We just recently stayed at the condo. It was great to have all the beach stuff right there. Great location to the beach. It was quiet and well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone. The owner was very helpful answering all our questions. I will hopefully be renting again in the near future.

The condo was excellent. The view from the balcony is outstanding as is all of the amenities within the condo. I could not have asked for anything more. The newly remodeled bath was great, being able to come home with clean clothes due to the washer/dryer and all furnishings were very comfortable. Thank you for the experience. We will definately use your facility again if given the opportunity.
