Tofino condo description
The charming fishing town of Tofino, British Columbia draws vacationers from all over the world. A little hard to get to but worth the trip, this remote Vancouver Island destination boasts The Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, The Wild Pacific Trail, varied and eclectic dining opportunities, a world-class Resort & Spa (The Wickaninninsh Inn), Canada's only competition-level surfing beach (Long Beach) and numerous recreational outfitters who are ready to treat you and your party to whale and bear watching excursions and a host of other unique guided tour experiences.
Tofino is a scenic 3 hour drive from the ferry boat port of Nanaimo or a five hour drive from Victoria. Along with the 'weirdness' and charm that is Tofino, you will find every modern 'necessity' from WiFi and the grind-your-own gourmet coffees sold at the Tofino Co-Op to the chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairings at The Pointe Restaurant.
The Loft Condo (we prefer the Canadian term 'Strata') is brand spankin' new and everything in it is new and comfortable and esthetically pleasing. If your idea of vacationing is resting and doing a whole lot of nothing then welcome to our world. You can spend all of your time in the strata watching movies (regular DVD and Blu-ray formats) on the 51-inch high definition Sony TV with Bose 3.1 sound, listening to music, staring at the fireplace, gazing out the two-story wall of window at the slow parade of float planes, fishing boats, kayaks and birds (an occasional North American Bald Eagle) or at the distant snow-capped peak or the not-so-distant rain forest islands across Clayoquot Sound.
If you like a little more action on your vacations, try surfing, cycling (mountain or cruiser bikes) hiking, kayaking, fishing, touring the islands from the air, beach combing, surf sailing, skateboarding (Tuff City Skatepark) or just about any other recreational sport activity you care to dream up (that doesn't require snow).
So come recreate, reinvigorate, relax, refresh or just eat & rest your way to vacation contentment.

Our stay in this beautiful condo made our Tofino trip this year one of the best ever. The location to restaurants and kayaking is perfect. The condo itself is very high end and sitting on the deck watching the harbor became a nightly routine. We have stayed at the Wic before and actually prefer this property. You can find cheaper in Tofino, but you can't find better accommodations for a couple or family of four.

Manager response: Such gracious guests:) We are always pleased when others enjoy our place and discover what we love so much about it, namely, that it's a great place to recharge and renew. We agree! Watching the activity in the harbor never gets old!
Recently my husband and I spent a week at this condo and it was amazing. The view is second to none and you can go swimming in the tub. I really noticed all the little details the owners had throughout the strata for renters. They thought of everything! This was the perfect place if you are looking to relax and get back to nature with every luxury. Extremely comfortable, excellently stocked kitchen, get bed and linens, close to everything. Lots of nature and things to see right outside the window. We were fortunate enough to be there for the Canada Day Celebrations and got to see the fireworks being set off right in front of us. Just gorgeous. Just an amazing oasis in the middle of nature! Janet

This was the vacation of our lives and by far the best deal we found in the entire region.(and we did extensive searching!) This place has it all! We were incredibly and pleasantly surprised by so much. The condo is much roomier than we expected. The views are among the best on the whole peninsula. The decor is simple, beautiful and chic. It is very clean and up-to-date! It has all the ammenities you want and need and is in short walking distance from groceries, activities, shops and many great restaurants. Many of the sightseeing and adventure opportunities leave from the pier right by the condo, including: whale-watching, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, and sea-plane tours. We highly recommend the tour to Meares Island in one of the hand-carved canoes made by local "First Nation" Tlaook residents who show you the natural wonders and tell you about many fascinating things you wouldn't see or hear about on any other tour. The entire, two-story tall, north wall is made of glass so that we would go to sleep and wake up being inspired by the beauty of the water, forests, islands, and mountains. I don't believe you will find accommodations that are this luxurious, comfy, breathtakingly scenic, user-friendly, and all-around great, anywhere else within 200 miles for the price. We will definitely be coming back every chance we get!

About: Please come and enjoy 'Beautiful British Columbia' in our Pacific Coast gem. Equipped for maximum comfort and enjoyment, we count the days until we can get away from our daily grind and the heat of South Texas and return to the majestic, scenic and temperate Pacific west coast town of Tofino. 'A Quaint Little Drinking Town With A Surfing Problem.' PS You MUST try the polenta fries and fish tacos at SoBo Restaurant - a pleasant walk from the strata. Cheers!
We stumbled onto this amazing project (The Shore) while celebrating a wedding anniversary and everything fell into place. We think it's one of the world's unique vacation destinations. Cool summer temperatures are certainly a big draw for us when South Texas swelters.
