  I was able to rent this house at the last second after a well-known local realty put in the wrong dates into their computer system. The owners of this house are friendly and easy to work with on all accounts. There were many beds and the location cannot be beat. A+

  We had a fabulous time! The location couldn't have been any better and the size of the house was a very pleasant surprise. I found everything I needed and when I needed additional help there was a very prompt response. I will definately plan on staying again!!

  This house is reminiscent of the old beach cottages before those sterile mcmansions started showing up on local beaches. Great laid-back feel and right in the heart of it all on Folly. You can walk to all the bars and restaurants and the local mom-and-pop grocery store is right across the street. We will definitely come back.

  Our family spent the holiday weekend in February. Great location, close to town. House was perfect for our 4 kids, ages 6-9, they could play in the yard, walk across to the market while we watched from the front porch. Couldn't ask for a better spot! We will be back. It was a perfect family time, watched the parade in town for Folly Gras and had no problems with noise or inapropriate behavior at night. Thanks again for sharing your house.

  No sheets for king size bed, no blankets for any beds, AC didn't work, the website description was NOT close to being accurate, the photos on the website look fake compared to the actual condition of the property both inside and out, the chain link fence in back yard is broken and not safe and not secure, the front of the house is sagging in places, boards broken and unkempt, carpet has stains and was extremely poorly maintained, the streets right outside were "Mardi Gras" loud well into the wee hours of the morning, there not enough towels, tv remotes didn't work and had corroded batteries, table broken in living room, AC vents broke and could not close the vent in bathroom so it wouldn't be freezing if we tried to take a shower, our family had to leave and find other accommodations for the week because it was impossible to stay there due to the condition and the deception that caused us to rent it in the first place.

  Owner response: Tenant checked in on Saturday, (a favorable email from the family who checked out hours before is submitted with this response), a card with multiple contact numbers for problems, emergencies etc. was left with the keys on Saturday. No one was made aware that King sheets were missing and towels were low. On Tuesday the tenant made her first contact, following the 4th of July. She left a message on the owner's office phone, stating she did not have sheets, towels and the house was too cold and that as a result of 15 complaints she had, she checked out early and wanted a full refund. She clearly stated on Tuesday July 5, that she left within 24 hours. She did not call any of the 3 different cell phones provided for assistance during her stay. The neighbors, (full time 40+ year residents) went to the property at the request of the owner and were stymied by the false complaints. It was additionally confirmed the renter lied about only staying one night, the family was present through the holiday weekend. Unfortunately this is a pervasive problem with holiday weekends, some folks only want to stay 3-4 nights and manufacture excuses to break a contract. Had the renter contacted anyone Saturday, Sunday or Monday, her concerns would have been immediately addressed as we pride ourselves on being responsive and providing cell phone contacts for our guests.

  My family of 4 adults and 5 children (age 16 months - 11 yrs) stayed for 1 week in June. We loved the location of the house and we could walk to everything we needed. Great location, great parking for multiple cars/SUVs, easy to find. We had plenty of room in the house for everyone. Beds were comfortable too. The only cons were the following: toliet seat in master bathroom was broken, grill grate for charcoal grill was not usable, some of the kitchen applicances need updating (dishwasher bottom rack broken, rack in oven kept falling, and fridge/freezer did not want to cool or freeze properly in the beginning.) We also had a small problem with tiny bugs and a rat in the kitchen. The owner was very responsive and sent out a repair man and an exterminator. Nothing could be done except set rat traps because we were in the house. They were supposed to come back when we left to fix everything. Also, the carpet needs cleaning. If you walked around without shoes on, your feet would be black on the bottom. Not the cleanest/safest place for a family with small children.

  We spent two weeks in September and had a wonderful time. Flew in from Boston and did not get a car for 4 days. It rained so we rented a car to go into Charleston, a short little drive. The water was very warm and beach not too crowded. Loved the location and the house is clean and charming.

  We stayed in July and had a blast. We walked to the restaurants and to the beach almost daily. (why cook on vacation?) Just like the owner said, you don't need to move your car. I am coming back with girlfriends and no kids in the fall becasue the price is right for what you get here.

  We stayed for a week in June, it is so close to everything. We loved the convenience of walking to town, across to Bert's, great people watching in the front of the house but peace on the deck behind the house. Room for the kids to play a bit while we grilled on back deck. Nice and clean inside with a cute beach theme.
