  My wife, six month old daughter, myself and our pug traveled to Maine for the first time and we had an amazing time! The house was perfect for us. The fireplace made the living room nice and cozy. The hot tub under the stars made the nights sparkle. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, a few things of tupperware to store leftovers and plenty of glasses to fill with your favorite libation. The location was great too! There is a grocery store about a mile away from the house, which made getting supplies a snap. An entrance to Acadia National Park is about a mile in the other direction from the store. I highly recommend hiking the trail right off Fernald Point Road. When you get to the top of Flying Mountain, you are rewarded with spectacular views! On a personal note, we're from Long Island, NY and just happened to stay here during Hurricane Sandy. We had a tough couple of days trying to reach our families but finally did get through and everyone was okay. Initially we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it back to our home (as it didn't have power and reports weren't looking too good). When I emailed Jen, the home owner of this house we were renting in Maine, she was very kind and offered to work with us staying longer if needed. It's that kind of consideration and compassion that let's me know the owners of this house are kind and genuinely awesome people. If you're looking for a house in the Bar Harbor area that offers great amenities, is close to everything, and has owners that make the process thoroughly enjoyable...this is your house!!

  We had a group of 8. The open floor plan and vaulted ceiling living "great" room made the house feel very spacious, yet homey. We loved the promixity to the numerous hiking trails and Southwest Harbor. After a long, active day outside, the fireplace and hot tub were priceless...especially with a starry sky. I have stayed in numerous timeshare and vrbo rentals and by far, this house provided the most "like home" essentials. The owners were wonderful throughout the time before, during and after our stay. They quickly responded to any questions and were very accommodating to special requests. Our group was in town for the Mt. Desert Island marathon. The house is less than a mile from the finish line, which was a big plus. Next time we return to the area, this house will be our first choice.

  This property is absolutely beautiful, clean, immaculate and well maintained. It was a wonderful home to come back to after a day of activity. It is close to conveniences, restaurants and the various small towns within Mt. Desert Island. A bit of paradise in a secluded community. My husband and I did not want to leave after our week was over. The owners were delightful and helpful in all communications. We will definitely be returning in the future.

  We recently stayed in this lovely home in Southwest Harbor. The home was immaculate when we arrived and was a lovely place to come home to at the end of a day of hiking. The fireplace and hot tub were nice extras and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cookware. It was only the three of us - me, fiance and dog. But this house could have comfortably held a much larger crew. The neighborhood was quiet and off the beaten path, but has easy access to a section of Acadia as well as a nearby midsize grocery store and many good restaurants in Southwest Harbor. Our interactions with the owners were very professional and our security deposit was returned promptly.

  This is an excellent rental with some nice features. The fireplace, grill and jacuzzi are top notch. Plenty of space and very clean. The owner and property manager are excellent. Perfect for a family on vacation.

  Wonderful fully furnished house to stay in, with lots of room and all amenities. The property is on the quiet side of Acadia but it is within driving distance from Bar Harbor and all hiking trails. The property was clean and the owners provided lots of touristy information.
