We decided on Longboat Key as our annual get together location for 6 college friends. This house was perfect! It was comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. Tom was great to work with and very responsive to questions. The house is as described and a 2 minute walk to the beach! Perfect slice of paradise! The house is on a secluded street and very quiet. Just takes a few minutes to get to restaurants and about 15/20 to the circle. We will be back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I were lucky enough to stay in this wonderful cottage over Thanksgiving this year. The cottage is very clean, and we were amazed at how little we actually needed, the cottage had it all! We had the best time, the cottage is perfectly located, the beach is a short distance from the house, and once you get to the beach it is as if it's your own personal beach. I hope that we will be able to come back next year for thanksgiving.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My sisters and I had a great week on Longboat Key. The beach was gorgeous and the waters were crystal clear. We saw dolphins, manatee, and lots of different birds on a daily basis. They were so few other people there the week we were, it felt like our own private beach. The cottage was lovely and very comfortable with enough space for everyone. We enjoyed local restaurants and the Motes Museum. I hope to go back for another visit real soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My group checked out on 06/16/12. What a wonderful place to stay. The owner made sure that everything you could possibly need is available (beach chairs, umbrellas, grill, W/D, sunscreen, first aid meds...even a baby stroller...the list goes on). We walked in and it felt like home. I cannot speak highly enough about the owners, as they were wonderful to deal with. This was my first home vacation rental and it was a great experience!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This house is exactly as advertised. It's an incredibly charming house, extremely comfortable, and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The property is well maintained and was very clean upon our arrival. The lanai on the back of the house was a relaxing area to enjoy a drink with friends, read a book, watch the birds and the little lizards, etc. It was just a short walk to the beach that is not heavily used (at least when we were there). The owner was so helpful with helping us make the arrangements for our stay and he provided a wealth of information on recommendations for attractions, restaurants and so on. My friends and I would definitely rent this house again if we were to go to Longboat Key. Great place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What you can't see in these pictures is the great location on thIs island and just right size for our family of four. Actually, you could comfortably stay here with six. Tom and Sue we're the most gracious hosts we have had of all of the rentals we have rented. Their home is immaculate and comfy. Whether you enjoy relaxing in the lanai,drinking coffee, listening to island music on your I-device, and watching the wildlife like I did each morning or taking the three minute stroll to the beach to take in a breathtaking sunset, you are sure to find this home will fit your bill. Tom gave us great advice on things to do and places to eat. We had a great time on our Spring Break! Got a chance to visit Disney with a short two hour ride and spend lots of time soaking in the sun. Touring the isle on the bikes was awesome. We did a lot of research before selecting this home and it paid off. My family and I rented this cottage for a week-at least one week too short. We really should have stayed at least 2 weeks. The location is perfect. Easy walking distance to the very nice beach and w/in walking distance of others. Close to trolly pickup also (trolly on AMI is free). But is in a very quiet neighborhood. We found lots of shells and had some good fishing (would have been even better if I knew better how to fish saltwater). Joe's ice cream on Anna Maria Is. is a MUST! LBK and Anna Maria Is. are much less congested than the mainland. Saw dolphins everyday-altho' the mullet were running so I'm not sure if they are alway there. Sunsets are beautiful. Can't say enough good about our stay. Owners are very friendly and very willing to answer any questions. The "yard" is more like a rainforest-very pretty and shaded and very well done. The house is as nice as it looks.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great time at this cottage. It's got everything one needs for an easy vacation and just a block to the beach, 15 minutes or so to town, great restaurants nearby...couldn't ask for a better place.Owner response: Thanks to Sheryl for sharing her vacation with us!

My wife, son and I just returned from a fabulous weekend at Longboat Key. The house is very comfortable and the lanai out back is the spot to relax be it for morning coffee or evening libations. The owners are very friendly and helpful people and full of local recommendations. We watched two wonderful sunsets on the beach which is just a quick five minute walk from the house. A nice quiet place to unwind is what you will find at this cottage.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Lovely little cottage in a quiet residential neighborhood, within walking distance from the beach, restaurants and Longboat Key historic settlement (featuring wild peacocks!) Clean, well kept, fully equipped with just about everything you can think of and wonderfully decorated, with a lush tropical garden. We just loved everything about the place, especially coffee in the morning on the porch. We'd love to come again! Two thumbs up!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

2 months may not be long enough as we check the weather up north. Easy to rent and easy to enjoy. Great quiet beaches only a block away, meals in the sceened in lanai,comfortable beds,beach chairs and equip, even beach toys for the grandkids, great shrubs and flowers- how could you not enjoy yourself.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Small house in a great location. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. It was clean and nicely decorated. The landscaping out front was very interesting. They let us use the bikes in the garage and we rode all over the island. Owners were very helpful with ideas on where to go and what to do. Affordable three bedrooms, two bath beach house located on North Shore Drive. A quiet residential neighborhood only five minutes from beach access and ten minute walk to Longbeach historical area; Mar Vista and Moore’s Crab House restaurants. One car garage to store your bikes or kayaks. You will have easy access to the bay with your kayak at the Broadway Street access or take your kayaks to several other easy access‘s on the island. A great place for biking. You have a full nine mile route to the south end of the key, or just take a leisure ride to mid key and have breakfast or lunch at the Blue Dolphin restaurant. Make up your own walking tour, beginning with a two mile, one way walk across the bridge to Bradenton Beach. Enjoy a early morning walk to the bay and watch a sunrise. Check out the wild life at Joan Durante Park at mid key. Screened back porch to enjoy the native Florida landscape, including White Bird of Paradise, palms, and other Florida natives. During the cooler months, open a window and listen the surf. This beach house is newly remodeled with stainless steel appliances and granite top work areas. Leave your laptops and computes at home, “honestly, what’s your hurry….your on Cortez time”.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great updated home in nice community, easy walk to the beach and short drive to shopping, dining and entertainment. Traveled with my husband, dog, cat and 85 year old mother and we all enjoyed the accomodations. This is a very nice area with beautiful beaches a few minutes walk away. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings have a cup of coffee. This is a great value.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Traveling with my husband, 85 year old mother dog & cat and we all enjoyed our stay. The home is updated and clean home with a great location. Only a few minutes walking to the beach and by car you can shop, dine or site see very easily. We also just enjoyed sitting on the porch have coffee in the morning, Very beautiful, safe area and the value is the best!!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved everything about our stay here. The house is light & bright with comfortable furniture, clean modern baths & kitchen, nice windows, ceiling fans & air conditioning (heat, too, though we didn't need it). Everything we needed seemed to be right there including beach chairs & laundry, maps, music, good t.v. Bureaus & closets had plenty of room for our own things. Loved the rooftop deck for ocean views in the day & stargazing at night. Our favorite thing was walking in the morning over the Longboat Key Bridge and then into Cocina Beach/Park. We also rented bikes for the week & really enjoyed biking all the side roads, seeing the sweet old-fashioned homes & gardens. Love the fact that we could easily go out to eat within 5 minutes to several terrific restaurants , loved the shopping at St Armands Circle, the live theatre in Sarasota. Two wonderful beaches within 3 minutes, one with trees for shelter from the sun & still enjoy the view & swim, the other wide open white sand - great for whatever mood we wanted. We fish from the bridge, rented kayaks & motor boat. and we golfed, golfed at great courses all 30 minutes or less. So enjoy!! We're going back for sure!!
