My boyfriend and I rented Sequoia View Cottage for a weekend getaway and I can't speak highly enough of this place. The cottage was spotlessly clean with a well appointed kitchen and the AC already turned on for our arrival. Vince and Maya were very gracious hosts and even lent my boyfriend a tripod of his camera when he forgot his own. It was only about a 20 minute drive up to the National Park and a nice place to come back to after a long day of hiking. Everything about the cottage met our expectations or exceeded them. We're already planning on returning next spring for the wildflowers.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A beautiful home in a spectacular setting. This cottage is very clean, spacious and well equipped. It has everything a chef like me needed to cook meals at home but also conveniently located to grab coffee and sandwiches in Three Rivers. The owners are wonderful people who have obviously taken time to provide every guest comfort as well as great information about the surrounding area. Vince was at the door in one minute with a replacement can opener when I couldn't get the one in the kitchen to work (still not sure if it was operator error). The photos do not do justice to how special this property is. I highly recommend it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

You really can't find a better place to stay in 3 Rivers. This cottage (really a house) is beautifully decorated with lots of high quality wood and wrought iron, has a spectacular view of the mountains and the night stars, a fully loaded kitchen and is close to Sequoia and Mineral King. The owners are fabulous and very welcoming. It's a hidden gem and I would definitely go back. Feels like home in a serene setting.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Vince and Maya are just wonderful folks. Their cottage is very thoughtfully designed. Each little space has something for you to use/enjoy. Very luxurious, very clean. Our kids cherish the memory of feeding carrots to Maya's horses. She is so nice - loves kids. Vince gave us nice tips about how to navigate the construction area at Sequoia NP. We followed his advice and had a wonderful time visiting the Crystal Cave and the Moro Rock. The night sky view is amazing from the back patio - the bright stars, the glowing moon as well as the night sounds of the critters. Very quite, charming place. The view of the mountains, the rising sun - we were in awe enjoying nature just by sitting on the living room couch. Their kitchen has everything you possibly need and more. Cellphone does not work here, however, they provide free wifi - we could upload all our photos every night and the kids enjoyed their Netflix shows. We really had a great time for those 3 nights and would definitely come back. We highly recommend the cottage for a family with two small kids - just bring your own groceries and you are good to go!Recommended for: Families with young children.

A charming, peaceful retreat with a lovely mountain view. Very well equipped and close to the national park. Vince and Maya are warm and thoughtful hosts. The cottage was even more charming in person than shown in the photos. We hope to return and would definitely recommend it to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this very clean and comfortable cabin. It's well equipped and has a great view of the mountains. After grilling steaks for dinner out on the patio, we enjoyed watching the millions of stars come out while relaxing on the cushioned lounge chairs. The location is great for visiting Sequoia National Park. Also visit the Three Rivers Historical Museum on Sierra Dr for lots of local information. It has a huge carving of Paul Bunyan out front. We're already recommending this cabin to friends and family. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we come to this area for vacation. Vince and Maya are excellent hosts, and they make you feel right at home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We stayed at the Sequoia View Cottage for a special birthday weekend and could not have been happier. It was PERFECT and exceeded all of our expectations! The home is well appointed with luxurious bedding, designer furniture, a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ and gorgeous indoor/outdoor living spaces. The attention to detail was impressive. The views were beautiful from every single room. The cottage is conveniently close to town and the entrance of the park but still very private. The pictures do not capture the charm of this cottage. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be coming back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at Sequoia View for 2 nights and certainly would have liked to stay longer. The cabin is well located, just a few miles from the entry gates to Sequoia NP, and just outside Three Rivers. The town is close enough to pick up supplies or grab a bite to eat but the cabin is in a quiet & secluded location overlooking the Sierra. In addition to the great location, the cabin is one of the best self-contained properties we have stayed in. There are 2 great outside seating areas, 1 with table & chairs and the other with lounges. Inside, the cabin is really nicely decorated, comfortable and has pretty much everything you might need (and more besides). The owners are really nice & helpful and have lots of good advice to enjoy your stay. All in all, a great place to stay if you want somewhere relaxing and well-equipped close to Sequoia NP.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed 5 nights in May and could not have been more pleased with everything about this well appointed, superbly built, beautiful one bedroom house. The photos don't do it justice. Every detail and comfort has been well thought out and provided. Our hosts made us feel welcomed and were even kind enough to bring us some fresh berries from the local farmers market. We enjoyed the privacy and seclusion of the property and especially appreciated the views of Sequoia's peaks and mountains. We also appreciated what a short drive it was to both the National Parks and the local eateries. We can't wait to return again for our next visit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We instantly fell in love with Sequoia View Cottage. This place is perfect- a beautifully crafted and beautifully furnished modern home in a private setting in the country, with views of the Sierra mountains. The owners were great, too- charming and very generous. We hiked in Sequoia Natoinal Park every day (minutes away) and grilled out every night. It was the perfect remedy to our busy city lives. Cannot wait to return...Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
