This was our first time staying at the Sonoran Sun, and we were very pleased. The condo is large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was well stocked and open to the living room. The granite counters and bar were very nice. The condo was larger than we expected. We only had 5 in our group, and there was plenty of extra space. The bedrooms were all large with big, comfortable beds. The master bathroom was very nice and included a large tub with jets (with a shower head as well). My daughter loved the Queen bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. The bedding was nice with lots of pillows. The balcony was large with a great view of the pool and beach. We enjoyed relaxing there in the morning with a cup of coffee. After a long day of fun in the sun, the balcony was a good place to wind down with a glass of wine. We found the pool area to be very clean and large enough. It's not as fancy as Las Palomas and didn't have a lazy river, but we were happy with it and had fun there. It had two large pool areas and two jacuzzis (one for adults only and one for families). The swim up bar was large (in the middle of the two pools and had seating both in the pools (on both sides) and outside in the shade (with tables and bar chairs). The bartender was friendly and fun, the drinks were reasonably priced ($3.50 regular, 2 for $5.00 during Happy Hour). The food was okay, reasonably priced but nothing special and limited menu. We had fish and carne asada tacos. The beach was great. There were several palapas with beach chairs, a large pristine white sandy beach, and turquoise water with rolling waves. There were some people selling items on the beach, but they weren't pushy at all. Banana boats were going on Saturday, but it was too rough Sunday and Monday (maybe they don't come out on those days anyway). Massages were available on the beach, but I didn't try it. The restaurant was open every day I think around 8:30. It would have been nice to get coffee earlier, but I could have made it in the condo as well. The coffee was good (and we're pretty picky) and the food was okay. We had the buffet breakfast for $9 (included coffee). It was a little pricey for what was offered (omelette and waffle stations, hot dish Mexican specialties, some fruit, yogurt, juice). A la carte was also available. I would definitely recommend this condo.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

Awesome Condo!!!! Our family stayed in this condo for several nights. The condo was over the top. We stay at the Sonoran Sun several times a year and have stayed in other condos. This one is now our favorite. Fully equipped with everything we needed. All the beds were very comfortable, living room seating was great for socializing. The owner was very easy to work with. The Sonoran Sun is a great place to stay and I highly recommend this condo.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
