For the past few years I've been dreaming of finding a piece of land and building a flat pack home or buying a DWR Airstream camper...this might just get me by until I can afford to do either! It was modern, minimalist, quiet, and clean. Being the condo dweller I am, I was perfectly comfortable in this space and it felt like home while I was there. I most enjoyed the wood burning sauna which made me think of the days when I was much younger and regularly took saunas with my Finnish best friend in elementary school. Loved it!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Scott, From the moment we stepped out after arriving there, we fell in love with the place! I think Mike thought I was a bit crazy for snapping pics of everything, immediately after arriving. The online photo's surely do not do it justice, as it was so much more than expected. We loved the contemporary furnishing & the simplicity of the Wee house. You had everything so well stocked, from the pots & pans (we enjoyed cooking a few meals) to a shed full of everything we might need for outdoor use! The sauna house was an extra luxury! The lot was gorgeous & private, we enjoyed the quiet surroundings while sipping on coffee every morning, probably our favorite time of the day there! We made use of the canoe a few times also, while I just loved just sitting on the dock! Thank you so much for making this such a memorable weekend & great escape! Mike & Mary EllenRecommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the weeHouse for a long weekend and had a lovely time. The house itself is a great size for two (would also be comfortable for a small family or two friendly couples). The structure is beautiful inside and out. The bathroom is small but functional. The outhouse is great! The kitchen is well-appointed. The beds are a bit on the stiff side, but the space is comfortable. The downstairs bedroom can be left open or made private with a big sliding door. The upstairs bedroom would be really nice for parents of older kids or for older children to stay in on their own (entry is by a ship's ladder that is a little hard to use at first). The radio has great sound quality and a hookup for an MP3 player, iPad, or laptop. The back deck is a great spot to have breakfast or play Scrabble. The lake is quiet, clear as a bell, and great for paddling around on. The proximity to Duluth and the North Shore is nice if you want to either bop around town for a day or go for a pretty drive. Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back in other seasons.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
