Come take a break from it all at the Pine Cone Inn. Located on three secluded acres, this charming mountain house is a perfect retreat. What makes it so perfect is that this quiet mountain getaway is peaceful without being remote.
Just off the Turquoise Trail, in the Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque, this quaint rural property is a 30 minute trip from Albuquerque and less than an hour from Santa Fe. Formerly part of a B&B, the lower floor of the house is now an independent rental unit. The rental still provides the personal touch that you expect from a B&B without all the schedules and activities.
A walk in the woods only requires opening the door. Stroll among the ponderosa pines on the property or explore the numerous hiking trails of the Cibola National Forest. If a windshield tour is more your style, take a drive up the Sandia Scenic Byway and enjoy the spectacular views from Sandia Crest (10,678'). For winter skiing or summer biking, Sandia Peak Ski Area is just ten minutes away. Head north and check out the endless art galleries and wonderful museums of Santa Fe. Return on a cool mountain night and cozy up in front of the toasty and effortless gas fireplace. A fully-equipped kitchenette allows for great meals in or step out and enjoy one of several restaurants within a five-minute drive.
If you want to stay connected, just bring your laptop, wireless, high-speed Internet is provided. Enjoy the spacious master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and comfortable office/sitting area. The second bedroom is perfect for kids with a twin bunk bed set. The pull-out in the living room provides another sleeping option.
