While we couldn't get away from work totally, I couldn't find a better change of venue for a week away from the office. Our hostess, Susie, was a wonderful person who treated us like family. We feel absolutely blessed from our week at this home away from home - we are definitely going to stay here whenever we can get away to NC. I would highly recommend staying at The Near Way B and B. The location is near enough to Mars Hill, Marshall, and Asheville for dining and attractions yet is very peaceful and relaxing.

Wonderfully quiet, comfortable and close to many activities if you feel the need. Personally the owner made our stay so pleasant it was hard to go anywhere. We even stayed an extra day so I could finish a book on the quiet porch (with company of Puff and Blackberry the cats.) You might even get Susie to let you use the gourmet kitchen if the mood stikes you. A romantic mountain retreat.
