  Great location. Wonderful view of the ocean from the roof and back of house. Some repairs were needed and the property manager responded quickly and fixed everything. We loved riding our ATVs to the beach and desert trails. El Nido steak house in San Felipe had excellent steaks and friendly service. No problems at border crossing or military checkpoint. Just would have loved a patio on the back of the house and more comfortable seating.

  Stayed for the month of May. We found this home to be adequate size-wise for our (two adults and a small dog) needs. We found that Casa Margarita quite close to everything especially the weekly swap meets hosted by El Dorado Ranch on Saturday mornings. Casa Margarita is close to the El Dorado Ranch pool/tennis complex and to the Sea of Cortez beach by Juanito’s restaurant and the golf course. The home was well equipped and we improvised when we needed something which the home did not provide. The interior furniture for the most part was quite comfortable. There was ongoing construction in one of the home’s bathrooms when we arrived and it was not worked on, nor was it completed by the time we left on May 30th. I guess the contractors there operate on a Mexican time schedule (manana~) which does not mean tomorrow, it means "just not today"!!! Having lost for the most part, the use of one of the two bathrooms in the home we were cramped but we managed to work around it. The kitchen was equipped as one would expect for preparation of general meals but was not well equipped when preparing a larger meal for more than two people. The BBQ was a small table top model with a very small cooking surface, wherein we worked around that too! Casa Margarita is very close to the Pemex filling station and to the new Rancho Market just across the highway which has everything one needs, fresh vegetables, ice, cerveza, salads and a bakery for your sweet tooth. It is not necessary to drive into San Filipe to pick up provisions like beer, soda and ingredients for that favorite margarita. Rancho market has it all! Fishing in the surf at high tide was a kick. Didn’t catch anything of value but it was fun none the less. Clamming on the beach at low time was fruitful again this year and in short order we gathered enough clams to have a Italian dinner feast of clams, linguini along with a generous helping of those world famous San Filipe shrimp which were huge and looked like small lobsters. Casa Margarita provided a wonderful 180 degree view of both the Sea of Cortez to the east and the majestic mountains to the west. Sunrise and sunset were special times providing special scenery for the photographer in you. Viewing the lunar eclipse from the roof deck was a special treat for us. The view of the stars at night was truly impressive. The home ran out of both water and propane on the same day and a visit to the rental agent solved both quickly. Can't wait to do it all over again.

  Two couples spent a week at Casa Margarita and enjoyed our stay. The price was reasonable. It was very clean and we found it safe and secure. All roads were guarded 24 hours a day. In fact, we felt safe as we traveled in and around San Felipi. We enjoyed eating at the numerous restaurents, shopping at the local stores and attending a native church. The owner was very good to work with and appreciated a list of minor things that needed attention for the next renters. Our entire security deposit was returned in four days. I would not hesitate renting this house again and would recommend it to others

  We had a great time staying at Casa Margarita. Great location, the price was right and the El Dorado Ranch felt very safe and secure. I would stay here again.

  We've stayed at Casa Margarita a few times now and always request this house. It's in a good location relative to the golf course and beach. The house is very nice and well furnished and has cable tv and all kitch appliances, etc. that you would need to have a great time. Of couse the rooftop deck is the best!

  This was a charming house that's clean and a good size for our family. The photos show it just like it is and I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the San Felipe area. The house has been well maintained and the price was right. It was very easy to book and we had no trouble once we got there. We enjoyed our stay and there are great amenities just across the road at the Ranch, so it was well worth paying less for this place.
