Why the Owner Chose LarkspurWonderful location nestled in the woods next to Pike National Forest. The house has easy access to both Denver and Colorado Springs, yet is private and quiet.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country HouseThis is a home where you are relieved of stress. We love our Gourmet kitchen. It is comfortable in the house even during the heat of summer - we usually sleep with our windows open to smell the pine. We do a lot of hiking as we can access Pike National Park from the neigborhood. There is a pond at the front of the neigborhood which we enjoy walking to - there are the largest bullfrogs we have ever seen in the pond. We love walking up to the red rocks behind our property, which is open space, and taking pictures on the rocks and in the woods. It is always exciting to see the bears and foxes wandering around. The road biking is smooth and the traffic is low.
Owner's Map of Larkspur
We purchased this home to have a relaxing, but close, getaway from our work lives in the Denver area. We have really enjoyed the peace and beauty of this property and decided we should share it with others.

What can I say, we had a wonderful time. The property was great and very much accomodated our family get together of 10. Was ideally located for us because of time spent in Denver and Colo. Springs. Had a chance to meet owners and they are super people. I would rent this property without hestitaion in the future. This is a great setting and we enjoyed scenery to the west of property by golf course. Again we had a great time and this place is all what it says it is. Thank you !!!!!!!!

Just got back from a wonderful weekend at Larkspur. This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful home and we'll be back again. It's everything that the pictures show and more. We had 10 family members in total for the USAFA Parents weekend. Lots of room for everyone and a spacious kitchen that was great for entertaining. We saw deer almost everyday. The home has lots to enjoy such as playing horseshoes, basketball, board games and hiking. It's convienent to Castle Rock shopping as well as all the things to do in Colorado Springs. Thanks for letting us create some great family memories.

We enjoyed this home while in Colorado for our son's graduation from the Air Force Academy. It is close enough to the Academy, yet away from the busyness of Colorado Springs. Such a beautiful and relaxing home; the description and photos don't do justice. Plenty of space to accomodate our group of 9. The owners were wonderful to work with and I highly recommend this home to everyone and especially families of AFA cadets. Wish we had known about this home sooner and we could have enjoyed parent's weekends here.

If you are looking for a vacation home just far enough away from the city to relax but close enough to enjoy all of the fun the city brings this place is for you. Beautiful home, clean, and great owners. The house is exactly like the pictures, even the stuffed tiger on the guestroom bed. Great communication with the owners and they made check in and check out very easy. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend.

We stayed in this beautiful home over the Labor Day weekend. It is conveniently located between Colorado Springs and Denver which was ideal for our visit to the Air Force Academy. The home is just as advertised with lots of room for family. We had 7 people in our group and really enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and BBQ grill. The home is nicely decorated and we’ll certainly try to visit it again in the future.

This was our first experience with VRBO and we were very pleased. The house was clean and well maintained and was in a beautiful location. There was plenty of room for this family of seven to spread out and enjoy each other without being on top of each other. We enjoyed the location because each one of the kids had things they wanted to do in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock as well as Denver so we were centrally located. The weather was beautiful during our stay and we really enjoyed sitting out on both of the outside decks. The boys were playing horseshoes one evening and the deer were right out there with them eating grass and not paying an ounce of attention to them. We would certainly consider staying here again if we are back in the area. The owners were also very accommodating and helpful.

This was an absolute beautiful home and area. We had a group of nine....all 15 or older...and never felt crowded. The house is very open, yet has bedrooms and deck space that you can retreat to for personal space. The photos and description are accurate, but pictures can't capture the true beauty of the area and the solitude when you are there! From the redrocks 75 yards from the house, to the finches and deer that visited daily, it truly is a wonderful home! The property was extremely clean and well-maintained, and since our stay the owners have already made improvements by adding a washer and dryer! We can't say enough about how awesome the owners were to work with. They responded to all questions and e-mails in a very timely manner and from phone conversations with them, you could tell they really wanted to satisfy their renters! And they did that...above and beyond! We have already recommended this property to family and friends. If you want to hit activities in Denver, Colorado Springs, and of course, the outlet malls in Castle Rock....this location will be PERFECT for you!
