A perfect getaway

We couldn't have been happier. I had to work while my husband skiied, but the wireless was great and the condo was warm, and the X-C trails so close that I got out every day for a couple of hours. Great location -- we'll be back!

Perfect Condo at Sun Peaks!

We stayed in Stone's Throw 22 for six nights. It was a perfect condo for our ski holiday. The accommodations are comfortable and they have one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever seen in a condo. Finally a condo that furnishes the kitchen with more than a sparse service for 4! You guys have really made this an easy place to call home. We appreciated the MANY plates, mugs, bowls, glassware, eating utensils, serving plates/platters. It is an easy walk across the courtyard to "ski-out" to Morrissey. "Ski-in" is perfect as you can take the East Village Ski Way (green run) or any of the blue runs off of that to ski right back to where you put your skis on in the first place. Very easy for stopping mid-day for lunch. I love Sun Peaks and I've stayed in many condos but this was truly my favorite. It felt like a home and we were very comfortable there.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Ski Vacation

This is my second Dec staying at this condo. I stayed last year between Christmas and New Year's. This year I went a few weeks earlier. The condo was perfect again. My sister and two nephews joined me this year. We had a fabulous time on the slopes and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub at the end of each day. The owners of this condo are great to deal with. I felt very comfortable and that I could trust them. I have rented other properties through VRBO and found myself feeling uncertain as to the honesty and actual existence of the owners. I have never felt this way with these owners even with my first time renting. Sun Peaks in general is great. The businesses in the village are very friendly. We experienced fabulous service from Jardines. They waxed my nephews snowboards in 5 min and rented my sister skis and we took them to the condo for the night for skiing the next day. They were genuinely nice folks and ready to help with whatever they could. We had a great holiday!! I will definitely be back.

Great experience at Stones Throw 22

We had a great stay at Stones Throw 22. Close to the village. Morrissey Lift and runs were excellent. The condo was beautiful, clean, nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice after a day of snowboarding. We would definitely go again.

Fantastic Suite, in Top Shape, Better than any Hotel in Town

After having bad luck with the Delta Hotel the last time I visited, I chose to stay in a private condo for my last trip. I was a little worried that maybe we'd end up in the boonies with no access to amenities as the location descriptions can sometimes be deceiving or unclear. Such was not the case with this condo. Access from the road to unload the car was easy as there is a loading driveway in the courtyard. We found the unit relatively easily (adjoining numbers are not adjoining units for some reason). Once inside we were greeted by a unit that had been prepared for us inadvance of our arrival and was clearly very well cared for with beatiful finishings, heated floors everywhere and as new furniture and fixtures. The car was easily parked underground and we went off to the village to shop. Access is via a nice path plowed through the woods away from the roadway. Access to ski is true ski-in/ski-out for a change. It's an easy (even in ski boots) and flat 50' walk to the run to glide down to the chairlift (there are ski pass sales right at the lift). Even my snowboarding partner had no trouble (there is a short uphill to a bridge over the river, but a bit of speed gets you up it, if you don't make it you can unstrap as you're likely only 100' from the lift). The hot tub was fresh and clean and we made great use of it throughout our stay. The photos aren't perfect but the hot tub opens onto the snowbank over the roadway (not heavily travelled) and the elevated tub makes for a nice secluded area to relax. Other places I've stayed have the tub right on the ski run or in the courtyard for everyone to ogle you as they ski by. Each bedroom has a TV, there are cable boxes, DVD players and gaming systems. We didn't use any of these but families traveling with children will appreciate the extra touches. My only critique of the photos is they make the place appear a little too bright and cold. When you're in the condo at night and have the lighting dimmed it's warm and serene. I'm sorry for running on but I'm back at work and regretting leaving Sun Peaks and Stones Throw.

Hi Yuki, Happy New Year. I had a great time at Sun Peaks. The condo was perfect. It was nice and clean and it felt homey. I loved that it was a true ski in and ski out. The hot tub was a dream after a full day of skiing. I quite enjoyed your Andrea Bocelli CD. I’ve been looking for it in the stores at home here but can’t find it. I’ve asked my sister in Abbotsford to look down there for me. Sadly, I’m back at work today. Definitely not as much fun as skiing. I’m certain I’ll be back.

Once again we had a great time at Sun Peaks, and at Stone's Throw 22. The conditions were great – sunny and granular early in the week, and fresh snow later in the week. The condo is very comfortable and well maintained and we found everything we needed. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your wonderful condo, and we look forward to future visits!

We had a great time staying at your wonderful condo. It is ideally located, very cozy and comfortable. It is very nicely furnished and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and appreciated the entry area where we could store our gear and not get snow or dirt inside. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a nice touch for the cold weather. We also really appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and soap – you’d be surprised how many condos and vacation rentals don’t provide those small but much appreciated amenities.

Hi Yuki & Lyne; We had a fabulous weekend up at Sun Peaks in Stone's Throw 22. The location was exceptional for us as my boys downhill ski and my wife & I cross country. We really liked the lay out of the place and the full kitchen !! It is a place to recommend to friends. Thanks !! Jonathan

Had a great stay. Stone's Throw 22 is comfortable and included everthing for a fun ski weekend. The kids loved the hottub and Playstation. Could not have asked for better weather - snow on Friday, sun on Saturday and Sunday. Four of us attended the wine festival on Friday. We reviewed many of the BC wines offered a the fun and busy event. I would like to come back for it next year. Maybe I will attend a few more of the activities.

What a great place to stay! Nice and central location and a well-appointed, clean, and spacious place for the price. I stayed for an extended, 4 night weekend with my girlfriend and another couple and we were all impressed with the property. The hot tub was great, with nice clean water, an excellent feature, after a nice long day going up and down the mountain. The furniture and beds were all of good quality and comfortable. My girlfriend especially appreciated the cleanliness of the place, being a bit of a clean freak. The owners were helpful and friendly, very easy to deal with and accommodating. Overall, I would definitely recommend this as a great place to spend a holiday or any time away from work and home.
