This may be a "ski cabin", but I will have to say my summer stay here in Brighton, Utah was outstanding! First of all, the home is suberbly roomy and comfortable. It's woodsy setting gives it a feeling of sylvan isolation, yet it is so remarkably convenient to all the delights of the Brighton area. Park City is maybe 25min drive over the mountain pass, and Salt Lake City not much further the other way back down the canyon. A short walk will get you to Silver Lake, a lovely mountain lake park teaming with wildlife. Take an easy daily stroll to see moose, deer, ducks, beaver, grouse, woodpeckers, chipmunks.... wildlife abounds! And the hiking/biking possibilities up into the higher elevations are endless. Grab a cup of coffee and take a hike up to Twin Lakes one morning like I did. Nothing like cool solitude and breath taking scenery at 9470ft elevation to start your day! And even if you get a little achey from the hike, that soothing hot tub awaits right off the deck! You'll also love the gas fireplace to take the chill off the mornings or evenings. The kitchen is stocked with all the cookware, utensils, and appliances you need and the gas stove is superb for cooking. Need internet? No problem - I found the wi-fi here very fast and convenient. Laundry facilties are excellent. This house is "lived in" and never leaves you feeling like you are in some sort of model home or commercial setting. Books, plants, dishes, towels... it is "home" for you, for real. A work project brought me here, but my wife and I have enjoyed it so much we may just put this on our list of summer places to be every year. So from this seasoned traveler, I say "highly recommended".Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
