It is located on Shore Road which has two miles of Atlantic shoreline available for you to walk, bike, jog or drive. You can also head to Grimes cove for a refreshing swim and collect shells and sea glass. Simply a favorite spot for both residents and visitors of the area. This cottage, just outside the quaint Village of East Boothbay, has four bedrooms each with an ocean view. Besides having the best view, it is clean, well maintained, and comfortably decorated.
What sets this cottage aside is that it has been completely updated. A custom built kitchen with all new appliances and cabinets is stocked for all your cooking needs. A completely renovated bathroom includes all your basics. All beds with new quality mattress sets for comfortable nights of sleep. High Speed wireless internet, Direct TV, VHS, DVDs, games, books and toys to keep the whole family happy. The living room with comfortable seating and a gas Jotel Stove, turned on by thermostat, makes a warm and cozy atmosphere. Wake up to fresh coffee, set the night before, from the coffee station located in the dining area.
Have your morning cup of coffee or afternoon refreshment relaxing on the porch in a rocking chair, a yard-side Adirondack chair, or at the waters edge. Any of these will give you a front row seat to the lobster men hauling their catch of the day, sailing windjammers, seals, lighthouses, islands, sea ducks and more.
Watch all the ocean activity from the porch during breakfast, lunch and dinner. On a clear night watch for shooting stars or find all the constellations with help from the L.L. Bean telescope. From the ocean front property you may fish, swim, launch a kayak or canoe, snorkel, find shells, driftwood, snails, crabs, starfish, little creatures and sometimes treasure in the seaweed and tide-pools. If you love to paint, set up your paint supplies for scenes artists dream of.

The weather was incredible along with the view. We had 7 of us here and we all went to Pompham beach one day, whale watching another and ate lots of lobster and clams during our stay. We played some board games, relaxed and watched some movies after a long bike ride. We were very comfortable the entire stay. We look forward to returning next year.Did you find this review helpful? charming and cozy cottage with lovely views of the bay. Would recommend this cottage to anyone interested in relaxation and cozy comfort. It was very clean and well maintained. A walk along the bay gives spectacular views.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I recently stayed at the "Best view in ME" and had an awesome time! The house sits on such a beautiful piece of property, with truly amazing views. There is so much to do and see in the area, and so much wildlife and beauty all around. The house is so well stocked and every need has been anticipated! What a wonderful memory-thank you for making my vacation so special. I will definitely rent the "Best View in Me" next year, and the year after that, and after that, and after that! WOW! Today is our 1 year wedding anniversary. The past year has been fantastic and there was no better place to celebrate our special day other than on Ocean Point in this cottage. We had amazing weather this year and the sunsets each night were breathtaking. We agree they are even better than some of the sunsets we saw in the South Pacific on our official honeymoon. The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Ocean Point is the most beautiful place in Maine. Our place is unique because it is one of only a few on the Point that has both ocean side and land side property.
Because we own the property across the street from the cottage, we have access to the water for small crafts, swimming, fishing, snorkeling and we can explore the tide-pools and shoreline just steps from our door. Our cottage also sits on a hilltop that faces southwest and allows us to watch the ocean activity, sea life and sunsets that are directly in front of the cottage.
We have had many Lobster feasts on the porch with friends and family. Those who don't make it down to the rocks for the evening sunset can stay right where they are on the porch and still have a view of the spectacular colors that wash over the sky. From our place you can see two lighthouses that light up at night and listen to the fog horn blow. Many nights of deep sleep can be had by all with the sounds of the waves and the smell of the ocean air. Come and experience it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
