This cozy little cottage is located in the western North Carolina town of Old Fort. Its location is fantastic as it is only minutes away from antique and craft shopping in Black Mountain and Asheville, within a few miles of many waterfalls and hiking trails in the Blue Ridge mountains and backs up to the Pisgah National forest, a short drive from Lake James and many water and boating recreation areas, and only an hour’s drive away from skiing and snow activities.
The cottage sleeps four comfortably. It has two bedrooms (1 queen bed and 1 full/double bed), one bath, a small kitchen, and a family room/dining area.
It is well-stocked. Linens are provided. Cable TV and Wi-Fi equipped.

We stayed at this cottage 1st week of Aug, 2011,,,,Didn't know what to expect, pictures sometimes lie...Well I was SO SO WRONG.....Fabulous place, just like home, everything you possibley could need was in this cottage.....I mean "EVERYTHING" very quiet street, yes R/R tracks across street, but they go so slow you barely hear them...Their was 4 of us staying there and we had plenty of room..Clean, CLean, clean.....I diffentely reccommend this quaint cottage.. Rich & BarbaraRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This property has been in Alyse's family for four generations. Essie Mae was Alyse's great-grandmother and Alyse's grandmother, Mary, lived in the cottage until 1997. It holds a special place in our family and many memories were made in the home and area surrounding it.
