excellent place for our family of six; well equiped kitchen. very near SD excellent location; would not be a good choice for anyone handicapped however. tall stairs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My 1st negative review ever for a VRBO property and we have used the service many times. First of all it was not clean. The carpets were old and worn and not clean. Some of the kitchen equipment had a greasy film on them indicating that they hadn't been washed for a long time. The frig had this mysterious water leakage which left a puddle of water on the floor (a real safety issue). At first we thought that maybe we had done something wrong but it turns out that when we called the agency, they indicated that they were aware and had repair people look at it to no avail. Also the shower on the main floor had major problems with the diverter switch to make the shower work. One of the upstairs bubble tubs didn't work and the other had a bug problem-looked like termites. There were no kitchen linens so we had to supply them ourselves. With no A/C the warm weather was a little uncomfortable. However, fans were provided. To be fair about things, there were a couple of positives. The view of Mission Bay was nice and it is quiet with just walkers, joggers, and bikers going by. Also the TV/DVR on the main floor was state of the art. Upstairs TV was no good. Do not pay much attention to the pictures in the ad. They must have been taken at a super optimum time. They (the agency or the owners who ever they may be) just didn't seem to care. BTW, we are not a bunch of youngsters raising cane. 4 pediatric oncology RNs and 2 husbands (1 is me) ranging from middle 40s to 70.Owner response: Dear Renters, We are sorry that the condo did not meet your expectations. Our cleaners are extremely thorough and take great pride in their work. If you are not satisfied with the state of the condo, we are more than ready to call our crew in to clean to your specifications at no additional charge. The carpets are cleaned regularly, and have since been deep cleaned several times. We encourage all our renters to let us know if anything is amiss; we have no way of knowing if something is wrong unless our renters notify us of the problem. The refrigerator did break unexpectedly during your stay, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We did everything we could to have it repaired with minimal interference with your stay. When we were informed that the refrigerator needed to be replaced, we decided to wait for the unit to be empty, as the process involved lots of servicemen, noise, and construction (the kitchen has custom cabinetry and the old fridge was an unusual size). The refrigerator has been successfully replaced since your stay, and the kitchen underwent a minor remodel to accommodate the new appliance. The diverter in the first-floor shower has been fixed. We had both bath tubs inspected but there was no evidence that there was anything wrong with them. We apologize for the lack of kitchen towels. Again, we encourage our guests to inform us of any issues, as we are happy to take care of them for you. Had we known, we would have restocked the towels that same day. Of course we want you to enjoy your stay, so if there is anything we can do to improve the home, we welcome your feedback. We’re glad that you were able to enjoy some of the wonderful features of this home despite these issues. We care very much about our properties and about our renters. We try to accommodate everyone’s needs and we do everything within our power to make sure our renters are satisfied. We felt that you and your guests were great renters and we regret that we could not make you happy. Should we work together in the future, I hope we can show our properties in a better light.
