  We really enjoyed our stay. The privacy and hospitality was much appreciated. Pleasant and respectful owners. They made it known that they were always there if you required anything. Everything we needed was provided and served to be quite convenient. The nearby beach was breathtaking! The suite is located in a quiet, quaint neighborhood and the views from your front door is amazing!! Although we were out the entire day, every day, it was relaxing to come back to a peaceful little place to clean up and rest. I must add, we did encounter a few tiny crawling bugs on the floor at times and one day, a few roaches outside. It was never a major problem and it's inevitable in Hawaii, no matter where you go or how clean a place is..... and this place was neat and organized. We stayed here for a few days at the beginning of our trip, then again for another few days at the end. Thank you much, Melissa & Bryce!

  My wife and I just returned from a stay at this wonderful place. We had a great time exploring the local area with some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The hike to the lighthouse was also fantastic and we were lucky enough to catch a view of a whale breaching just offshore. The location is also convenient for taking trips over the Honolulu. Thanks so much to Bryce and Melissa for making our stay so memorable. It is obvious that you guys put a lot of thought into the comfort and enjoyment of your guests. We hope to see you again real soon.

  My wife and I recently spent a 3-day weekend here and it was wonderful! The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. I was a little worried about not having a kitchen, but with the microwave, fridge, and barbeque grill on the patio, we did just fine. The owners were very nice and fun to talk to, but we also felt like we had plenty of privacy. The beach was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I defnitely recommend this place!

  We have visited this island several times, staying at different locations and found this to be our preferred area of Oahu. The unit is very clean, updated, and just a short walk to a very beautiful beach with a postcard view of the mountains in the opposite direction. For us, it was an ideal location; it is close to H3, easy to get to Waikiki, and everything in between. The owners were very nice & helpful making our stay a pleasure. We would definitely stay here again in the future and if anyone needs more space, there is a larger updated unit above this one. Thanks for everything!

  I guess you would say I'm upper middle class being a retired police chief. I was looking for a economical place away from the down town area. I was Leary of renting the cottage because there was no picture of the outside. Then the second red flag appeared, no phone number listed for the owners. Then the third red flag popped up that I wouldn't be given a address until my stay was paid in full! Armed with these red flags I called VBRO and found out the owners had listed property with VBRO for several years and had several properties listed. This calmed my fears substantially. On arrival the rest of my fears vanished. The outside bar with the thatched roof pictured in the ad blocks most of the view of the cottage which makes a nice picture all but impossible. This tropical bar turned out to be a great place to have breakfast of cereal , toast & juice while watching the morning news on the nice sized flat screen TV located near the ceiling of the hut. The owners have gone to a substantial expense to furnish & decorate the cottage. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was way above average. There was plenty of white, white, plush towels, and a novel sink to wash in. The cottage appeared to be freshly painted and was CLEAN. I would rate the accommodations well into the 4 star area, the only draw back being that it is small. The beach is only a five minute walk and pretty deserted most of the time. Nice eating places and shopping and not far away. The owners live close by and were always friendly & helpful answering our questions. Pearl Harbor is 30 minutes away. Hanauma bay is 10 to 15 minutes away and the start of the trail up Diamond head is about 20 minutes. All the times given are not during rush hour traffic. If you try going during rush hour you can easily double and triple the time it takes. I would soundly recommend this property

  We spent a week with Melissa and Bryce and had a fantastic time. They were there when you needed them, but not intrusive. The location is perfect, literally steps from the beach where we watched sunrise every morning. Spending time in their back yard surrounded by foggy mountain mornings was also beautiful. The room is small, but exactly what you want if you don't plan to spend much time inside! They fit it out with everything you could want: small fridge, dishes, microwave, tv, and big plus is the coffee maker! In addition, the beach chairs and boogie boards were a huge bonus too!

  The Room: Well appointed, very clean, small but comfortable with lots of little extras. They even had toiletries in the shower and boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler! Also there's a nice little binder they've put together with information about local spots! This was the most professionally set up vacation rental I've stayed in by far. They've really put a lot of work and love into this place. The Owners: Super friendly & helpful! Really nice people full of Aloha! The Location: About 600 yards from the beach at Waimanalo, which is a lovely quiet beach and is great for watching the sunrise at. Also a great view of the mountains, and if you've never been to Oahu before and you like small sleepy surfy towns, Waimanalo is great. Its a small town, quiet, non commercial and kind of off the beaten tourist path while still very accessible to all the beautiful things on the island.

  Melissa and Bryce Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality. Your place is absolutely wonderful down to every detail in the suite. I have great respect for your attention to detail and all the hard work you have obviously put into your beautiful (and functional!) suites. Your home is on the most beautiful property, on the most beautiful street, steps from the most incredible beach!! and we feel so grateful we were able to share it with you. Your generosity on our last day, made our last day amazing. When the sun finally came out and we went down to the beach (only steps from our door) it was perfection. We were the only ones there (and our crab friend Fred!!) I have seen some incredible beaches and your beach is at the top of the list. To anyone looking for a place to stay, i guarantee you will be absolutely thrilled with your choice if you stay at Melissa and Bryce's. There is nothing you need to know other then you will get everything you need out of your vacation if you stay here! With much gratitude Alyson and Iain, Vancouver BC see you soon for sure!!!!

  This room is on the bottom floor behind the garage and in the backyard of the owner's house. It is very well kept but also very small for two people. Two nights was as much as I could have stayed. Fortunately, the beach was a block away and it was a beautiful beach-- more beautiful than the beaches to the north. Also, it was an easy drive to great snokeling. So, if you don't mind a small space for a couple of days in a beautful location, this is a good choice.

  This place was very clean, quiet, comfortable, and looked like new. Our host was very helpful in providing information about local hikes, or anything else we needed. The beach is just down the street. We enjoyed our stay.
