It is a curious blend of comfort & unique decor, with all the needed amenities that bring our guests back time and time again.
You can close the front door and stroll for only 5 minutes to arrive at the 'High Desert Market' for fresh pastries and coffee or for pizza and delicious salad across the road at 'Screaming Banchee'. You can dine at Arizona's finest restaurants or even at our elegantly restored historic hotels.
There are interesting tours available. You can start with a historic walking tour. Michael London, Bisbee archivist and historian extraordinaire, is now available for walking tours. Experience a journey into the past while touring the streets and avenues of historic Bisbee. Or what about the Old Bisbee Ghost Tour that is the only one of its kind? Your Ghost Host leads you on a walking tour through Old Bisbee's streets, stairways, and old alleys after dark on an adventure to discover and learn about the ghosts that haunt this hundred twenty five year old town. Learn their history and favorite haunts while seeing Old Bisbee when very few do, after sunset.
Take a Lavendar Jeep Tour. There are 7 tours options. One of the tours, Sky Island Adventure, takes two hours. You actually rise to 7,400 feet. Another featured tour, The Back Roads of Bisbee, is a 90 minute tour on the narrow, twisting back roads. The Mining Landscape Tour is a complete comprehensive tour of the Warren Mining District (Bisbee). You can also visit the Bisbee copper mine, once the largest in the U.S. And wherever you go, you're sure to encounter the colorful characters who call Bisbee their home.
Just recently a new Ghost Towns Tour became available. You experience the real neighboring town of Tombstone going beyond the 20 second gunfight. You visit quieter ghosts lying lonely in the desert. You’ll see the old hospital, general store, school and jail in the copper camp Gleeson where Native Americans mined turquoise in antiquity. You visit Rattlesnake, home to all things found in the desert and finally move on to Courtland and Pearce along the Ghost Town Trail.
Consider using Above & Beyond Rentals as your base while you explore the Southwest desert or hike to the tops of nearby mountains or even recoup from a long distance bike ride. There are state parks within 30 minutes of town. Take a tour of the spectacular Karchner caverns. Birders love to watch the sand hill cranes swoop down to feed in a local lagoon.

Easy transaction, cute house
Easy transaction, cute house
I second all the good things written by other reviewers. Two things stick out to me about this house that haven't been mentioned in the other reviews: 1) The process of reserving, checking in, etc, was super easy. I've rented houses before where you're faxing contracts and signatures back and forth, filling out paperwork, paying deposits, etc. This was incredibly streamlined ... as easy as a hotel. 2) Compared to other houses and even hotels in Bisbee, this house is incredibly accessible to those with mobility issues. You park literally at the front door. There are two steps up. Again, just so easy! Thank you for helping make our vacation relaxing!

Loved this house for 17 days!
I adored the ambiance and space in this lovely home! It was peaceful, lovely and relaxing. I also loved the location, where I walked to Brewery Gulch, toured the stores, met many friendly people and ate at delicious restaurants. The only problem is that I should have planned my stay to last longer! Thank you, Pamela, for allowing me to share this gem! Hope to be back again soon.

Owner response: and what a great guest you are - left the house in immaculate condition - thank you.
This is a darling place to stay. All the comforts of home. Clean and pretty. Walking distance from pretty much anywhere you would like to go. Bisbee was so much fun. There are lots of great restaurants and shops. My husband is gluten intolerant and every restaurant had more than one selection for him, even Screaming Banshee Pizza. All the locals are very friendly and accommodating to questions. I definitely recommend going to Bisbee and would stay in this rental again and again.

This place was great, clean, well kept and charming. I stayed with my girlfriend and another couple of friends and their baby and we all had a wonderful time in Bisbee for the 4th of July. This home is walking distance to all the shops in Bisbee, I would recommend it. Pamela the owner was great to deal with, she answered all of our questions promptly and was very nice.

Fun Spring Break Stay
Fun Spring Break Stay
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend during our kids Spring Break. We had a wonderful time in Bisbee and the house was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was a perfect walk to everything we needed or wanted to do. The house was clean and well appointed. We brought plenty of food with us and did lots on cooking there. We would absolutely stay again. Can't wait!

Owner response: I'm pleased I got to speak to Judith soon after she wrote her review. She was so happy that I took the time to hear what she had to say. She even spoke of trying to remove it, but hasn't done so; I guess its here to stay. I rely on my cleaning crew to be thorough, lock all the doors and put away the washing; perhaps this time they were not. This is truly the first time I have ever encountered a complaint. I also came to understand that Judith's husband has broken the chair and not that it was already broken. That made me feel a lot better as well. Will be keeping much closer watch from now on.
Overnight in Bisbee
Overnight in Bisbee
Three of us stayed in Bisbee at Pamela's cozy cottage. There was a bit of snow on the ground from the night before but we stayed warm inside. Pamela's home had all we needed to prepare simple meals and have a comfortable stay. It is located on Tombstone Canyon, a pleasant walk to the heart of Bisbee. We enjoyed exploring this part of town which was new to us. Her home is a short walk from the High Desert Market and Cafe. Pamela thoughtfully provided lots of brochures about things to do in Bisbee and the surrounding area. We would stay here again.

Why the Owner Chose Bisbee:
I am truly grateful to my friend, Buckley, who pointed me in the direction of Bisbee just months before his untimely death in 2007. I was amazed to find how much I loved being in Bisbee every time I visited. Bisbee has a charm of its own. This historical mining town is a friendly and liberal community. It offers a wide variety of pleasures - everything from great hiking & fine dining to old-west saloons, mining history, Victorian architecture and world-class birding opportunities. There are a ton of trails both east and west of Bisbee maintained by the National Park Service

The home is also ideal to serve the needs of: - 3-generation family get away, with outdoor privacy & room for everyone. - Private venue for spiritual and special interest groups. - Special family event venue - private living space in the heart of Old Bisbee that visitors just love to see. - Recent addition - guest proposed to his fiancee.
