From beginning to conclusion, this was an unforgettable experience. I was a dunce with the computer technology and Kevin patiently walked me through this procedure. He was always helpful and patient. Everything was NOT exactly as advertised.....IT WAS A LL EVER SO MUCH BETTER. The location on the lake is just gorgeous. The children had so much fun on the beach. It is so safe and secluded. All the bedding, towels, and dishes were provided. There are 3 refrigerators, a washer and dryer, and 2 complete kitchens. The layout of the home is so user friendly as there are doors to separate the sleeping area from the socializing area. Although you have neighbors, you also have a real sense of solitude. The wood was already cut and stacked under the deck for our convenience and we so enjoyed the evenings around the fire pit. There were lawn chairs provided for this in the garage. We were able to rent a boat in Yankton and the convenience of having the dock right down on the shore by the house simplified the taking of turns. The deck is enormous and can house quite a crew. There are many restaurants, putty golfing, and go-carts in Yankton. We ate out for one meal and JoDeans in Yankton was quite a hit. Their seafood buffet on Friday night was scrumptious. We had family from 5 different states and it was a unanimous vote that we would all love the opportunity to return again...and again. Kevin was very prompt in returning all of our deposit and was honest to work with. It is very difficult to describe just how amazing this home and location is. You need to experience it yourself.

Five couples from NB, SD, and NB enjoyed a week's stay at this wonderful clean, confrontable & awesome cabin. Kevin was wonderful to work with. Very helpful with any questions we had. The cleaning lady was close by, helpful and accommodating to us also. Friendly neighbors. It was exciting to see deer along side the road and turkeys cross the front yard one afternoon. Great area to go on walks for exercise. We are hoping we have the chance to return.

The home served our group of 10 very well. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. Kevin gave us excellent customer service. It would have helped to have explicit directions to the property (i.e., mileage from Yankton (Hwy 81) to Hwy. 121, to C54, to the entrance to Kohles Acres). As there are no street signs in Kohles Acres, we did miss a few turns there.

We booked a last-minute deal and spent 2 wonderful days enjoying this amazing property. The property was exactly as advertised (actually, looked even better in person than in the photos). The instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow, check-in and check-out was simple, and my deposit was returned the same day I checked out. My wife and I spent our 25th Wedding Anniversary sitting on the back deck under a million stars watching a thunderstorm blaze way off to the North. What a memorable experience! This was our second year in renting the house. More fun this year than last year. And we had fun last year. Even though it was a hot week, we still had fun with the whole family. We didn't do any fire place time in evenings, but got together on deck. We are renting again next year. It is the perfect great place in getting away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our four children, their significant others and 7 grandchildren. The venue and lake home afforded us an opportunity to relax, enjoy ourselves and participate in whatever aquatic activities suited each of us. The home was better than represented and the owner was very accommodating. We have already booked a return vacation and would highly recommend this home to others. On another note, Sunday breakfast buffet at CJ's was fabulous!

The property was perfect for our family vacation! It exceeded our expectations. We boated, hung at the beach, went into Yakton for bumper boats and go-carts, plus enjoyed a late night by the fire! CJ's was also a great place to eat when we didn't feel like grilling! The home had a great location.....and was nice and clean! We would love to come back and will recommend this to friends!

The Lake House was fabulous! It was big enough to spread out if need be. We had 7 kids ranging in age from 2-10. They played on the waterfront for HOURS: skipping rocks, building sand castles, jumping over waves, they even worked together to pull in a floating log, which was great fun for them! The set up of the house was such that we could tuck the kids into bed and the adults were afforded the opportunity to play cards at night. It was great and I'll definitely go back!

First time in years that we have had a chance to get our whole family back together. Our family of 8 grew up in the area and after having all started our own families some of us moved away, it was nice to have a place large enough to hold all of us with plenty of space to keep us happy. We are already trying to make it happen again. Highly recommended rental, great communication from owner. The place was exactly as described. All amenities mentioned were available and working. We can't wait to do it again.

The house was fantastic. We had absolutely everything we needed. We had 7 adults, and 10 kids, plenty of room for all. We really enjoyed the hummingbirds, eagles, falling stars, and all that nature had We will be heading back as soon as possible.

This is a great house for family reunions. We had fourteen people for three days. The house is very well arranged so that the bedrooms were quiet, the kids and the adults had their own areas, and we could all be there without getting in each others' way. It was clean, the kitchen was well-furnished, and the house was very comfortable. It has a fantastic view of the lake, and has a large grassy area in front. Beach access is easily accessible and a very short walk away. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in July 2010 for a family reunion. The house is wonderful and is better than advertised. Large yard for activities and a beach you can nose your boat up to with a large deck to watch all the water activities for the non-boaters. Two kitchens, 3 refrigerators, all the appliances you could need. We had 4 families and it was nice that everyone (even the kids) had a real bed for a change. The house is very large and the way it is laid out the kids can play video games and watch tv until the wee hours while the old folks sleep undisturbed. The teens loved the firepit and the lawn for all their games. I loved the large deck that you can find a shady spot on at any time. The view is tremendous for the sunrise and sunset as well as the night sky, city guys like me forget just how many stars there are. I can't really think of anything more I would want in a rental.

We stayed here in July 2010 and the property is great, better than advertised, virtually brand new. It is spacious and tastfully decorated. It has a huge lawn that was perfect for our "family olympics" a tradition that we do every family reunion. It was perfect for boating as you just pull up to the beach and you are a short distance to the deck to switch passengers. The less adventurous types among us sat on the deck and watched our skiers to not miss out on the fun. You have nice views of sunrises, sunsets, and of course the lake. The deck is huge and at least part of it is shaded at any time. We had 14 people stay and we had way more than enough room. The way the house is laid out it is good for almost any activity. For my daughters birthday party we all were in the great room and we had enough room for all. The home is large enough that you can all spread out and have a quiet room for a nap or kids can watch movies until late without disturbing anyone wanting to sleep on the upper floor. Large well stocked kitchen's. Each family takes a night to cook for the whole crew and I do not think we hardly used the lower kitchen. Plenty of parking, we had 5 vehicles and a boat. There is a large rock lined firepit that our teens really enjoyed so bring firewood, grab some chairs off the deck, and enjoy the night sky. The view of thousands and thousands of stars was tremendous for us city types that seldom can see more than a few dozen at a time. I would recommend (and already have) this property to anyone. We had such a good time we are talking about coming back next year even though we have always moved our reunion each year. My only regret was that we only stayed 3 nights due to our various schedules and I never had time to fish!

We were greeted with enthusiasm, even though we showed up early. Kevin was so helpful and answered any and al questions. The house and grounds are exceptional. It had so much room. The view was spectacular. We loved just sitting out on the very spacious deck and looking at the lake. The beach was really nice for the little kids. They had alot of fun playing there. Overall, it was just a great experience and would love to come back every year!

We found this cabin to be clean and comfortable. Easy water access, insane beautiful view from the deck and living room. Kitchen(s) were convenient and well stocked with utensils, pans, etc. Very handy washer and dryer in the cabin. Highly recommend this property for your vacation time!!!!
