Seaforever Family Retreat- 282 W. Grove Ave - Seagrove Beach, FL
Located in Old Seagrove just a block to the beach and 50 feet to Seaside, Seaforever Family Retreat consists of 3 separate homes, Seaforever (4 bedrooms), Rembach (3 bedrooms) and the Carriage house (1 bedroom) surrounding a unique brick courtyard with an oversized pool which may be heated to 86 degrees for an additional $30 per day plus tax. There are a total of 8 bedrooms and the Retreat sleeps 21 people.
The largest home, Seaforever is a stunning 4 bedroom/4.5 bath residence that sleeps 12 and highlights an exceptional design with a distinct Scandinavian influence. Gulf views from covered rooftop dining deck. Maple hardwood floors and cabinets are featured throughout with a gourmet kitchen with granite counters and restaurant quality appliances. Access the many porches and balconies from every living space. The outdoor roof deck, with views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Old Seagrove treetops, is perfect for open air meals at sunset. DSL high-speed internet is provided.
Ground floor: Great room features entertainment center with 36” TV, DVD, VCR, Bose CD changer with music piped to several rooms and porches, built-in bookshelves, and a large comfortable seating area. Gourmet kitchen has granite countertops, island with Viking gas range, Sub-Zero fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Dining table seats 10. Twin bedroom has two beds, each with a trundle (sleeps 4) with private bath with double vanity sinks and tub/shower. Powder room located off hallway. French doors from kitchen and living room lead to pool area.
Second floor: Huge master king bedroom features private bath with double vanity sinks, soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, 20” TV, ceiling fan, side chair and French doors leading to 2 separate balconies. Queen bedroom has private shower bath, 19” TV/VCR, side chair, dresser, French doors leading to the balcony and ceiling fan. Bunk bedroom with 2 bunks with 4 twin beds, desk, rocking chairs, dresser, toys for the kids, French door leading to balcony and a private bath with double vanity sink and tub/shower.
Third floor: Step through the steel hatch door onto a unique roof deck with incredible views of the Seaside skyline, Seagrove and the gulf. Outdoor kitchen has granite counters, gas grill, microwave, mini-fridge, dishwasher, sink and dining table for 8.
The second home of the Seaforever Family Retreat, Rembach, is designed and owned by renowned Swedish architect, Sture Johansson, as his family winter residence and studio. This 3 bedroom / 2 bath home sleeps 5 and has original artwork and a tower with panoramic Seaside, Seagrove and Gulf of Mexico views. **NOTE** Rembach is not available March 07-April 17, 2010; however, during this time period, Seaforever and Seaforever's Carriage House may be rented separately. Call us for pricing.
This home offers many opportunities to enjoy nature with abundant outdoor lounging, seating and dining choices. Two loungers and an umbrella grace the front yard. The front porch includes a table with chairs, and several bench seats. A quiet private courtyard surrounded by cool lush vegetation offers another lounger and table and chairs. Yet another garden area offers table and chairs. The fabulous fourth floor roof deck offers a table and 4 chairs, panoramic views of the gulf and the treetops of Old Seagrove, plus a convenient mini-fridge and coffee maker.
Inside the house, there are many seating choices beginning with 2 chairs in the foyer. The large living area has sofa, 4 side chairs, a desk with chair, large glass coffee table, 37” LCD TV with DVD and ample lighting for reading. A comfortable reading nook comes off the living room with L-shaped built-in seating, shelves full of books and a Bose stereo with CD. The dining area and kitchen open to the living room. The dining table seats 6. The kitchen features Scandinavian cabinetry, Corian counters, electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and French doors that open out to the private courtyard.
Ground floor king bedroom with California King Scandinavian style bed, bedside tables and wall lamps, ample storage for clothes and a personal stereo with CD. Bedroom sitting area with 2 comfortable chairs has a 25” TV, DVD and VCR. Bathroom has shower.
On the second floor, there is a King guest bedroom with desk, bedside tables and lamps, and ample storage. Twin bedroom has desk and twin bed. Hall bath has jetted spa tub and shower. All rooms on this floor have French doors leading to the outside balconies. On this floor’s outdoor space, there is a table and chairs for outdoor dining nestled among the privacy of the live oaks.
Parking for about 4 cars, outdoor shower and charcoal grill complete the amenities.
The third residence in the Seaforever Family Retreat is a Carriage House. It has a ground floor living area with queen sofa bed, full kitchen (mini fridge, dishwasher, cook top, sink) and a dining table for 4. Spiral staircase leads to 2nd floor queen bedroom with shower bath. French doors lead to a private balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard.
Outdoors: Beautiful brick courtyard with oversized 10 x 30 pool, which may be heated for an additional $30 per day plus tax, and ample pool side seating and loungers. Small playground area has playhouse, tree swings and toys for the kids amid gnarled old oak trees. Separate laundry room comes with super capacity washer and dryer, laundry sink and shelves stocked with coolers, boom boxes, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, sports equipment (golf, tennis, fishing), and other items to help you enjoy your stay.
