This condo was perfectly located within the complex, close to the pool and the boardwalk to the beach. The size (2br/2ba) was just right for my sister and me. We appreciated the wifi and DVD player being included. The property is nice and very family-friendly. The beach along this stretch is beautiful and not crowded. Be prepared though, there are no grocery stores, gas stations or restaurants unless you drive back into Gulf Shores (about 15 miles).

Wonderful Stay

We loved staying here and will be returning. The condo was updated and well furnished. It had a great view. It was very peaceful here. It was not a party zone. Very family oriented. A little way from town but if you are looking to get away from the loud/busyness of town, this is perfect. Lots to do but also a great place to relax.

Unit was located in one of the bldg's directly behind the dunes of the beach; one minute's quick walk across the boardwalk and the family was in exquisite white sand of Mobile Bay. Slightly older bldg, but unit was spotless and completely furnished with more than the usual kitchen equipment. This is not a marble/granite hign-end condo. What it is...is a perfectly functional and inexpensive beach-front two-bedroom with two-queen beds, condo that was very much more than adequate. The large flat screen and DVD player worked perfectly for the evening venue. The beds were very comfortable. This is a second floor unit and bldg has no elevator, but it's located close to the stairwell. This was an excellent value and will indeed try to book with owner in the future. Only reason I rated "Good" instead of "Excellent" was because this is a most adequate lodging, not an over-the-top luxury condo. Best regards, DA

Over all unit is nice and well maintained and good location. Kitchen well supplied for cooking. Plantation amenities were as listed and convenient. It would have been nice to have brighter lighting in the sitting area for nightime reading and some storage in the 2nd bedroom to put your undies and socks in, especially for monthly renters.

A very good value for the money. We especially enjoyed the relative seclusion and ambiance of FT Morgan vis-a-vis the rest of the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores environment. That said, the 13 mile distance between the property and restaurants of Gulf Shores was somewhat of a concern. Oh well, you can't have it both ways. It is much closer to the very enjoyable FT Morgan Ferry and the Mobile environment, e.g., Bellingrath Gardens, USS Alabama, etc. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Week of the 4th!

My family and I stayed in the listed condo for the week of the 4th of July. We had a blast! The condo gave us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time at the beach. The location of the condo on the beach was perfect for such a hectic time of year.. we had lots of space to play on the beach without the crowds. My sister got married on the 4th at sunrise. The Websters and the Plantation worked well with us and helped us ensure the wedding was beautiful! This was a great week at the beach and I would recommend staying here for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the sand and sun!

The location of the condo was perfect, right by the pools and beach. The condo was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked and fans were provided in both bedrooms (a big deal for us people who have to have a fan to sleep). Pretty view from the balcony. There is a nice snack bar/store on the property that has a variety of sandwiches and pizza. I would definitely recommend this property.

This was our first time in the Gulf Shores area. The property was nice. It was about 10 minutes from the main strip which was fine by us. The private beach was wonderful and it was clean. I do wish they would rake the sand weekly but that is not a major issue. The property was clean and well stocked. It was quiet at night. I would recommend this to friends or family and we do hope to return.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Planation East, this condo gave us a home away from home feeling. Though the property is set off from the main drag of Gulf Shores that was fine with us as we had a peaceful and relaxing time. Teens had a lot to do from hitting the beach to playing tennis to even sitting in the hot tub at night. Loved the fact that you can get a real soda for only 50 cents or to do a load of wash cost only 2.50. What a deal! Great place to visit again and again!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The owners were extremely helpful with any questions we had before our stay as well as organized in getting information to us. The facility was neat and clean. We enjoyed being off the "beaten" path of the heavily populated beach of Gulf Shores. We felt the beach here, near Fort Morgan, was quiet and family oriented which we loved. Plenty of restaurants close by as well as shopping.

Perfect for the family

We stayed at this condo June 4-7. we were 4 adults and 2 children. The condo is just as the pictures show, and the whole resort is fabulous. The area of the beach was private and not overrun with all the tourist.. We stayed at the East pool majority of the time ( it is perfect for children), but did stay one day on the beach. The only downside was the hot-tub nearest our building was under construction/maint. Of course this is no reflection on the owner. They sent the keys in plenty of time before we left for our vacation. I would defintley reccommend this unit to anyone.

This condo has a great view of the pool and beach background. The people are so friendly and if you need to leave a boat there is a guard at the gate 24 hours. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Gulf Shores Plantation and we really liked this unit. We were down at the beach everyday and one of our friends was at Fort Morgan Pier launching his boat everyday. Fun for the whole entire group!

Our family has been renting beach condo's for several years on the Gulf coast. We all agree this condo was a great value and the location is our favorite. The unit was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The proximity to the beach and pools is great. If you like lots of traffic and crowded beaches, stay away! We look forward to our next visit.

Perfect Home Away from Home

This condo was a perfect home away from home. My husband and I took our two kids (ages 5 and 1) along with my husband's mother for a long weekend. Although the building looks older the condo has been recently renovated and is very nice. There are several pools at the resort but we loved the pool right in front of the condo because it was perfectly designed for small children. The pool starts at 1 foot deep and gradually goes to 5 feet deep. I could let my five year old play and not worry about him going too deep. We loved our stay and would recommend this condo to anyone with smaller children.

This was our second time staying at this condo. We really enjoy staying at the Gulf Shores Plantation. It is very family oriented, clean, and peaceful! The condo is in excellent condition. The only inconvenience was that all the mattresses for the beds were old and not comfortable. All in all we had a great time in Gulf Shores!

This family is a repeat guest at our Gulf Shores Plantation condo and we value their opinion. We to have evaluated the mattresses. They are not old, however we found they were not very high quality after we purchased them. We are replacing them with a better mattress and plan to have new ones in by the end of October.

This condo was really nice - I was so pleased not to see pink and seafoam green with seashells! It was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. It was also a great location - close to the boardwalk and the pools (although they were too cold to swim in when we were there). I saw a lot of complaints about the wi fi - I had trouble getting it to work the first couple days, but after that it worked fine - mainly used it mid-day and didn't have any trouble. The Plantation was nice - we appreciated the fact that it was away from the "busy-ness" of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Could use an exterior paint job, but it didn't bother us! We also loved all the nature trails that were close by - too bad you couldn't walk to any right from the plantation. Only other wish is that there was another basketball court - we tried to take our kids several times and it was packed every time! If we ever come back to this area, we would rent this condo again!

Had never been to Gulf Shores and thought we would check it out on our way to Florida for Spring Break. Came across this condo listing and called and booked immediately. Owners were great to work with and were very efficient in setting up our stay. Condo suited us perfectly - clean and plenty of room. Not far from the pool and beach. The beaches were some of the best I've been to - even in the Caribbean. Beautiful, white sand and clean. We didn't have the greatest weather while we were there, but the kids were able to play on the beach the entire time. The wind and current were a little strong for swimming in the ocean. Husband was able to do some fishing from shore right out front of the condo. He was able to catch many different species of fish including a shark. He loves to fish so he was very content! I would definitely return. You get a lot for your money here. Shelly Wisconsin

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and we had a really great time. The room was excellent and very clean. There is a view of the beach and of the pool. Gulf Shores Plantation is older and seems a little stuck in the 1980s. But the grounds are very clean, well kept, and comfortable. The WiFi access for the complex was a little disappointing. It didn't work about once a week and the support line was impossible to speak to someone. That made it difficult as I attempted to work and logon remotely. In addition to being sporadic access, the internet was very slow - unless you use it in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep. It seems there are just too many people using the same network, which severely slows it down. I had to go to a coffee shop in town several times when I needed faster access. Everyone is very friendly and we had an enjoyable stay. The tennis courts are well kept, in addition to the pools. You also can't go wrong with the beach access - basically right out your door. The beach is nice, but not as great as the beaches in downtown Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, etc. The others are cleaner, longer, etc. Still, you can't go wrong with this location and I'd stay there again. Our unit was VERY clean when we arrived. The owners were very responsive and organized. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place modern and clean. Thanks for a great stay!

Our Christmas present to ourselves was perfect

I am very familar with the Fort Morgan area and really looked forward to sharing it with my husband. So for our Christmas present to each other, we left our two sons with relatives and made the easy drive over from the MS Gulf Coast to the Plantation the weekend after Christmas. The condo was much better than the pictures led us to believe it would be. We thought is would be nice but it was exceptional. Very comfortable with everything we needed. We had decided we would not leave once we got there so we stopped at the grocery store. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals. For two days it was just the two of us, the comfort of the condo and the wonderful view of the beach. We ate when we wanted, walked on the beach when we wanted, watched the movies we wanted and just had the most wonderful, rejuvinating time. The condo was just the right for us. I highly reccommend this condo to anyone who wants a stress free time. Even the clean up at the end of our stay was nothing, just take out the garbage and start the dishwasher. What could be easier? The whole process of making the reservation, checking in at the gate and finding the property was seamless. We plan to reserve this condo again and to tell our friends and family about it. It really is an outstanding place for rest and relaxation. And who can't use some R&R these days?

Family weekend getaway!

My family and I really enjoyed our visit in this condo. It was extremely clean and well decorated. We had everything that we could possible need. It's a second floor condo with easy access to 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool close by. We like tennis, so we had to get a game in before we left. We have vacationed at Gulf Shores Plantation for about 10 years now. The best thing I can say about the complex is that it is very family oriented. We feel very safe there and don't feel closed in or crowded at all. Give them a call. The reservation process was very efficient. Great weekend. Ron, Karen, Austin, and Dylan

RELAXING GETAWAY

9/7/08 -- 9/11/08 We are a young family. We have a 2 year old son and one on the way. Gulf Shores Plantation was so peaceful. It was a stress free vacation that we did not want to end. Our son enjoyed the New East Pool very much. The condo was first class all the way. We felt like we had a home on the beach for a couple days. We will be back soon! Great Getaway

My husband & I just returned from our stay w/ our neighbors & both of our 7 mo old little boys. Both bedrooms were big enough to accomodate their pack-n-plays, which was a huge plus!! The kitchen was completely stocked w/ everything you'd need to cook. The condo was very clean,cozy,quiet, and close to 2 swimming pools & the boardwalk going out to the beach. The washer/dryer was right down the hall too. The G.S. Plantation was very family oriented & safe. I would definetly stay here again. We also took the Mobile Bay Ferry on our way back home, which saved us some time(only 5 min down the road from the property). Wayne & Julie were great to deal w/ too. They mailed the keys directly to us-no middle man to go through.

My family's stay in this condo was first class. My wife, I, my 20 month-old son, and in-laws all stayed, and due to the layout, had plenty of privacy to enjoy four great days at the beach. This location is terrific is you are looking for a quiet, family-oriented, relaxing trip to the beach. The owners were very attentive and responsive to all of our special needs, and made the experience easy and stress-free. The condo was clean and a great value for the price. We have already begun planning our return to this unit. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this condo was GREAT! The owner was very professional, reliable, and timely in all aspects of renting his property. When we got there, the first thing that impressed me was that it was very clean (especially for being at the beach). The property as a whole is very lovely, with beautiful landscaping leading into the condos, as well as a very manicured look to the rest of the property. I also liked the fact that this property is "off the beaten path" so you don't feel crowded; it added to a very restful vacation. I recommend this property to anyone who is a non-smoker. The price is very reasonable compared to other condos I looked at having the same amount of amenities. So go ahead; stay here. You'll love it!

What an awesome get-away with the family. We really did enjoy our stay at this condominium. It was very clean and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. It is also at an unbelieveable location with close proximity to the beach, pools and indoor pool. (Thank God for the indoor pool on rainy days!) So close that my 2 yr. old could walk. This is a great family beach, no riff-raff. I felt safe with my kids running around. By the way, did I mention that you could see the beach from the balcony? My kids loved this vacation and so did we. This is also the best price I have found anywhere on the beach with so many ammenities. We hope to make this our yearly getaway to create memories with our family. Thank you for making us so comfortable at such an affordable price!

WE REALLY ENJOYED STAYING AT GULF SHORE PLANTATION.....THIS WAS A GREAT TIME OF YEAR TO STAY, BECAUSE THERE WERE NO CROWDS. THERE WERE TIMES THAT WE HAD THE WHOLE BEACH TO OURSELVES AS FAR AS WE COULD SEE!! EVERYONE WE MET THAT WERE "REGULARS" TO THE PLANTATION WERE VERY HELPFUL. WE LOOK FORWARD TO VACATIONING THERE AGAIN AND WILL MAKE THE SUGGESTION TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS ABOUT STAYING AT YOUR CONDO. My husband and I recently stayed at your condo.It was very nice and was so peaceful.We liked that it had all the comforts of home,as well as being so close to the pools and the beach.We plan on staying here again in the future.

Thank you so much for the rental of your condo!! It was everything and more than we expected. We really enjoyed staying at the Gulf Shores Plantation. This was a great time of year to stay because there were no crowds. There were times that we had the whole beach to ourselves as far as we could see. Everyone we met was regular guests at the Plantation and they were very helpful. We look forward to vacationing there again and will make the suggestion to all our friends about staying at your condo. Once again, the Webster's condo was home away from home for our family. It is always clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished. We thoroughly enjoy our stay at their place and the Gulf Shores Plantation. Highly recommended for relaxing and enjoying the gulf coast beach.
