The weather is beginning to change, and the fall colors are making their annual appearance. It's beautiful on the mountain!

This cozy and comfortable mountain cabin borders the protected national forest and has a soothing, seasonal stream on the property. It is private and tucked in tall pines but is walking distance to the village where you can shop for groceries, browse for antiques, dine, and listen to local music.

This 1200+ square foot, two-story cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized log bed and a single, the other with a full-sized bed and a single) and one-and-one-half baths; is paneled in knotty pine throughout; and filled with authentic mountain furnishings, antiques, and cozy quilts. It also has several decks where you can relax in private and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. And, if you simply can't leave all of civilization behind, the cabin comes equipped with broadband wireless Internet access.

Be sure to visit Fern's Lake which is half a block away. Kids, bring your fishing poles! In winter, you can sled just steps behind the property.

The clubhouse in the village offers many activities and amenities, including golf, an outdoor pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a bistro, and a recreation room for the children. Mount Abel and Mount Pinos (over 8000 feet) are nearby.

The cabin sits at 5400 feet, so come and enjoy the snow in the winter, the bright blue skies and sunshine in the spring and summer, and the colors in autumn. You will not be disappointed.

  • We stayed at the cabin back in November, and loved it. It's just the right size--small enough to feel cozy, but big enough to have plenty of room to stretch out. We had a great time at the little village within walking distance, and went for a nice walk up in the woods one of the days. We're hoping to stay again in a few weeks!

  • This was my second time using your cabin as a retreat for my organization. The work we do is tiring and we are so happy to escape to this cabin and enjoy a peaceful day! The neighbors are friendly, the furniture comfortable and kitchen well-stocked with supplies. The deck is beautiful, the drive is relaxing and all in all, a time well-spent. Thank you!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in mid-April. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a large gray squirrel, a cottontail rabbit and raucous Steller's Jays. There's a rushing brook in the back - very peaceful & soothing. Very cozy & comfy & quiet. Loved the duck pond! Even got some XC skiing in too. Can't wait to get back.

  • We stayed in your cabin last weekend, and had a wonderful time! Checked back today to see if it was available this weekend, but it isn't! Too bad for us, because it was truly perfect for our family of 5. The boys all loved it. The personal touches were nice. Loved the kitchen-very clean. Thank you for the memories!
