We love this cabin! Last night was our 5th return visit. We come about twice a year. Our kids love playing outside in the woods. And we just love the peace and quiet. This cabin is clean, quiet and very comfortable. Lots of new upgrades since the last time we were here. It's obvious that the owners love this place. Thanks again for a great stay!!!

My family recently stayed at this cabin between Christmas and New Years. The pictures do no justice. The place was picture perfect, I thought I walked into a magazine layout, so cute! NIce and big, clean and had EVERYTHING we could need! Kept warm and toasty with the wood burning stove and excellent heating system. Kitchen was fully loaded to do a full course meal! The deck views were amazing, the stream at the bottom of the hill from the deck was relaxing. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. I am forever a Cabineer (along with my family)! We are already thinking of when we want to plan our trip back! I honest felt like this was home. Thank you for such a wonderful, warm and tranquil retreat!
Owner response:Tim and Ellen, We are touched and humbled by your very kind review. Thank you ever so much. We would love to have you back! Marilyn

This is my second time visiting, I stayed here last July. It is in a gorgeous location. The house is really comfy and made us feel right at home. It has very peaceful, relaxing and inviting. With each visit it’s hard to leave. However, the thing that was comforting was the knowledge that I will be back soon. (P.S. The DVD player internet router worked fine).
Owner response:Hi, Tanya, We love having you as our guest. We so appreciate your kind words. Please come again soon.

My family loved staying at this Anya’s Cabin! We had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the walk to the lake it is only just steps away and walking to the club house was not only easy but we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood walk along the way. We loved the two outside decks the lower one for when we wanted to enjoy the fresh air without the direct sun and top deck was good for bird watching and at night for star gazing. But the beat part of the stay was the private-feeling and the gorgeous view of the pines and the friendly people. We look forward to returning soon!
Owner response:Tanya and Marshall, Thanks for your very kind review. You were great guests. Hope to have you back soon! Marilyn

I had commented in an earlier review that the DVD player and the wireless router were not working and that the wireless router lights indicated that it was powered up and was receiving a signal but was not putting out a signal. The owner responded that perhaps we did not have the television on the correct channel and that they would have responded to an email inquiry. We did try different channels on the television but never could get the DVD player to work. We could not have sent you an email because the wireless router did not work. We could not call you because the phone did not work... Perhaps some instructions left at the cabin about light switches, the DVD player and the internet router would be helpful. However, I'm pretty savy with these things. And as for the phone, the recording that came on when I tried to dial out said that the service was temporarily DISCONNECTED. So I'm wondering whether the cabel was temporarily disconnected as well. Just some thoughts. These things happen sometimes, no big deal.
Owner response:Thanks, again, Tracy. Wow. Maybe there was something wrong with the general service. So sorry for the inconvenience. We will provide more complete instructions. --The owners

This cabin is located in a very charming community. It reminded me a bit of Polack Pines near Lake Tahoe in terms of the terain. The pictures did reflect the rental's overall appearance, but what the pictures don't show is that the cabin is well worn, which is fine. The deck views were nice in from the lower back deck you can hear the creek below. The bird songs were a nice addition, too! The deck furniture, however, was not clean and there was no hose to wash it down with in the back. So we had to lay blankets down on the furniture to enjoy it. The deck table was not clean enough to eat on without a tablecloth but we didn't bring one. There was a wicker chair on the lower deck that was unstable and I actuall tipped out of it just trying to adjust myself into it. There were a lot of switches that didn't seem to control anything but lights that required switches that we couldn't find. So we used the lamps, which were quite dim. Also fine, just... not expected. The DVD player, while new as advertised, was probably not connected properly to the TV, because we could see the counter going, but the movies did not disply on the TV set. So we had to watch movies on a laptop we brought. The wireless router, while powered up and connected, did not provide wireless access. The indicator light for the wireless access never came on. As for phone service, there is none. No cell service. Our contract stated that the phone at the property was good for local calling, but not so. When I tried, I got a recording saying phone service was interrupted. One more thing... Please remember your first aid kit!!! While I was washing dishes, a glass broke in my hand and cut me so deeply I needed a stitch. There was no first aid or even a towel on the property. The phone did not work and the store had already closed for the night. So come equipped!! Overall, a great location. The cabin was adequate and almost charming. Your nearest neighbor is about 20 feet away, but once inside or on the back deck, you can't tell. I stayed there with my best friend while attending the Wine in the Pines Festival. We had a nice time. I would just say it's a bit rustic in a very real sense, so be prepared for that and you will have a nice time, too. :) We did enjoy the full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, toaster and fridge. Plenty of dishes, flatware, etc. Bring dish soap and dish towels. There are no linens of any kind whatsoever other than blankets/comforters.
Owner response:We appreciate the comments! 1.) All electronics should be working properly: wireless router, phone for local and incoming calls, and DVD player. They have not previously caused problems, so I'm guessing that the guest may not have had the TV set to the correct channel for DVD viewing, for example. But, guests can always email us from the cabin, and we can assist with any problems immediately. 2.) So sorry about your cut!! We've had a small first aid kit in the drawer next to the fridge. Perhaps it's gone now. We will replace it! 3.) Regarding linens: Yes, as our page states, we supply pillows, blankets, and comforters. Guests bring sheets and towels. We do not provide daily linen service so that we can keep the rates low. Most guests would rather bring some items with them than pay higher fees for linen service. Many of the cabins here are similar in this regard. 4.) Regarding dim lights: this confuses us because every room has bright overhead lights as well as many table lamps. 5.) We will be sure to do a thorough cleaning of the deck furniture! We appreciate comments so that we can continue to improve our accommodations for all our guests! Thanks- The owners

A quaint rustic cabin set back in the cozy woods with oodles of things to do within walking distance. We found such charm in the cabin with its darling thought out trinkets, furniture and decorations. The cabin had modern items like TV, cable, internet and a perfect sized kitchen for cooking supper after relaxing or running around all day. We enjoyed relaxing on both decks taking in the breath taking view. For a family that has enjoyed the outdoors for years this cabin is just perfect for a family get away. We were graciously hosted with short notice to visit the cabin, which was also sincerely appreciated! We were greeted warmly by the owners and locals we met while on our trip. What a wonderful and needed get away. Such a heart warming cure to all that has ailed our family, we sadly headed back to our daily work with hope to visit again soon!

We stayed for 7 nights and had a blast. It is a great place to unwind from the stresses of school. It's very warm and comfortable and private. We're going to make this a yearly tradition!

We stayed at the cabin back in November, and loved it. It's just the right size--small enough to feel cozy, but big enough to have plenty of room to stretch out. We had a great time at the little village within walking distance, and went for a nice walk up in the woods one of the days. We're hoping to stay again in a few weeks!

We recently stayed at this cabin. My two children and I had a super time. We were able to bring our dog Chico who loved to roam the woods and hike to the waterfall with us. The cabin is very cute, cozy and clean. It felt like home. Thank you!

This was my second time using your cabin as a retreat for my organization. The work we do is tiring and we are so happy to escape to this cabin and enjoy a peaceful day! The neighbors are friendly, the furniture comfortable and kitchen well-stocked with supplies. The deck is beautiful, the drive is relaxing and all in all, a time well-spent. Thank you!

Our group was so pleased to be able to be together with accomodating comfort. We enjoyed the lower deck on a pleasant summer morning. We appreciated the seclusion and yet the convenience the cabin had to the main road, village, and lake.

We really enjoyed our stay in mid-April. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a large gray squirrel, a cottontail rabbit and raucous Steller's Jays. There's a rushing brook in the back - very peaceful & soothing. Very cozy & comfy & quiet. Loved the duck pond! Even got some XC skiing in too. Can't wait to get back.

We stayed in your cabin last weekend, and had a wonderful time! Checked back today to see if it was available this weekend, but it isn't! Too bad for us, because it was truly perfect for our family of 5. The boys all loved it. The personal touches were nice. Loved the kitchen-very clean. Thank you for the memories!

Many personal decorator touches including nice seasonal decorations for Christmas. Sturdy kitchen table that comfortably seated our party of 6 as well as comfortable beds with good arrangement. Close to duck pond. Propane heating systems works well to quickly warm up the cabin upon arrival and early mornings.

I fell in love with your cabin. It was so comfortable I immediately felt at home. I am an amateur astonomer and the night sky was so full of stars I could hardly believe my eyes. I sat out on the balcony half the night. I plan to visit again and again. Thank you, Scott.

Beautiful weekend for Lilac Festival... cabin stayed cool and woodfire kept us warm at night..... one suggestion: what do we do with the garbage? Since we're paying a cleaning fee, we figured that the garbage is yours!
Owner response:Hi, Randy, Guests should pack out garbage and are welcome to drop it off at no charge at the village dump. We appreciate your question.

We felt as if we were REALLY away from it all. The kids loved all the "kid-friendly" stuff: games, videos, puzzles, etc. Loved the stream and the hikes. When we visit the USA and CA again, we will definitely be back. It felt like home. Thank you.
