Romantic, knotty pine cabin with panoramic view of the lake in the historic Tahoe neighborhood of Brockway. Ancient granite boulders and stately incense cedars frame the view from the hot tub on our large deck, equipped with barbecue and picnic table. In winter, gaze at snow falling on the lake while enjoying a home-cooked meal in front of the mellow brick fireplace or sipping a glass of wine in the deck hot tub. New flatscreen Direct TV, HD, with 240 channels and all sports events. In summer, grill out and watch the boats on the lake or the chipmunks scurrying around the boulders, or just savor the beautiful sunsets.
The cabin was built in 1940's and features lovingly crafted knotty pine paneling and very cozy warmth from the old brick fireplace (owners were the Bruener Furniture family)but of course we have updated, adding new windows,appliances,etc., while still trying to preserve the family-friendly amenities and craftmanship of that earlier era.
The close view of Lake Tahoe and the quiet thrill of seeing the lake through a panorama of incredible glacier-age boulders and beautiful conifers that were seedlings when our great- grandparents were born is an experience that many of us who live here will never take for granted and love to share with guests to the cabin
North Shore ski resorts are 12 to 30 minutes away and the lake is a two-minute walk down the hill. Kings Beach is a short walk/drive away.

Why the Owner Chose Kings Beach
North Shore Lake Tahoe is beautiful no matter what the season. We enjoyed the granite boulders, pines, and especially the lakeview in this small Brockway neighborhood. We are close to skiing and can walk to the beach, as seen in our picture.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Life on the deck overlooking the lake is lovely with the hot tub and sunsets in winter, sunny days and barbecuing in summer. Inside, it's fun to sit in front of the fireplace, watch cable TV, or whip up a meal.
Owner's Map of Kings Beach
I'm a retired high school English teacher and my husband Jim is a still working and traveling consultant. We bought this cabin, plus another permanent rental, as a vacation home and moved into it full time in 1991. Then we added a larger house and garage/greenhouse/workshop to the 1 acre, lakeview property. Seeing that we seldom used the cabin except for guests, we closed it off and made it private, then began renting as a vacation place.
