Want to stay in one of the first homes built on the bay in 1910? Now is your chance to stay in a beautifully decorated Arts and Crafts style home with an adjacent expansive lawn used for playing croquet, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and other sports. With a few long tables the location is ideal for large family picnics or just reading a good book in a hammock.
Next door to the house is the gloriously old Pleasant Beach Hotel with fine indoor/outdoor dining, quaint lodging, and plenty of dock space for visiting yachts. According to National Geographic the sunsets viewed from this location are only second to Japan's. If you prefer a variety of restaurants, the house is a short 3 minute walk into town where there are gift shops, a grocery store, and antique stores to browse.
The house itself is located at the end of a long driveway and has a sunny patio for eating breakfast, an enclosed glass sun room for drying bathing suits, and a screened porch for eating dinner while watching the sunset. On a warm night the porch is ideal for sleeping. The living room and dining room share an open floor plan with a great view of the bay and dock. The 4 bedrooms are furnished with antiques and the large master bedroom has a small balcony and beautiful view of the bay. Ideal of families or a romantic getaway... enjoy the waterfront.
Keywords: Quaint, charming Arts and Crafts style home in prime location with 65 ft. of waterfront, a sturdy dock, and an easy walk into town. Interior is well decorated with care.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1910
About the owner: My grandparents had this house built in 1910. My parents inherited it from them and I inherited it from my parents. The property has always been well cared for and the reason why it is being rented is to help offset the cost of taxes which are extraordinarily high for waterfront property owners. I have a home in Massachusetts and am unable to use the Fair Haven property as much as I would like. My husband and 3 kids wish we could be there more often but it is a 6 hour drive for us.
Why the Owner Chose Fair Haven:
The property was inherited and I chose to keep it since I love it so much. Hopefully, someday my kids will inherit it.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love to swim, sail, waterski, jet ski, fish etc.. on both the bay and out on the lake. The sunsets are beautiful and the location makes everything convenient. Great fun for kids!
