My husband and I loved our holiday at Lookout Point. The caravan was very clean and tidy with such a comfortable bed and the setting was incredible, what made the outside area even better was the choice of 4 different seating areas! Lookout Point was a great central location for all of our trips, we reached Miami and the Everglades both within an hour and Key West in 2. There were plenty of great places to eat , our favourite being Gilbert's where we saw dolphins and a manatee. If you want to see the most beautiful beach you must visit Sandspur Beach at the Bahia Honda State Park.Incredible! Thank you Nestor and Sveta for a truly memorable holidayDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Nestor, We stayed at Lookout Point in Novemeber and have given your name and number to our pastor and his wife who are looking to come to the keys this week. Their names are Ed and Linda Marshall and they have just lost her Mom who they have cared for over 23 years. They need a getaway and we recommended Lookout Point to them so they may be calling you. We sent them some pictures, too. We had such a great and relaxing time away, thank you again! PS Thanks for my watch back, I am wearing it as I write this!Did you find this review helpful? First things first. I had planned to write this review a long time ago and just did not get around to it. I am posting this now because we are planning our next trip down and I thought I would write it while I am here. My wife and I had an awesome time here on our honeymoon. With 4 kids and 2 grandchildren between us our budget was tight and man did we need a break from them. Whether you are young or an older couple looking for a nice quiet place to get away from it all you will not go wrong here. This place is perfect for alone time or a small family getaway. We had never been far from home so we were a bit nervous about staying somewhere other than a large hotel chain. I spent weeks doing research for the best place with the best rates and when all was said and done we decided to give this place a try. It seemed just like what we were looking for. I have to be honest at first I was worried whether or not the place would look like the photos. I had no reason to fear. The little one bedroom was the perfect getaway for us to start the new chapter of our lives. Very clean. We are so happy that we chose to stay here over a hotel. Located right off the main highway it was easy to find yet amazingly peaceful with a spectacular view. My wife and I both fish so this place with its private beach was a dream spot. We spent most of our time fishing from daylight till dark in the shade of the little gazebo. Fresh caught fish and steaks on the grill made the evenings a delight. The convenience of this place and the unbelievable rates made for a perfect honeymoon. By staying here we could afford to charter a full 10-hour day on the water snorkeling, reef fishing, and island hopping with a beautiful sunset to finish the day. As for Nester, you could not ask for a better host. He was at the property nearly everyday checking on things but never once bothered us accept to say hello in passing or to ask, when he saw us, if we needed anything. We even recieved our deposit back in just a couple of days. That impressed me even more. If you are looking at this place and wondering if it is the real deal for the money all I can say is, "YOU HAVE HIT THE JACKPOT!" I honestly believe you can nott go wrong. We have told all of our friends about the stay and feel very comfortable recomending it to anyone. Thank you for such an awesome time Nester. Hope to see you soon. Mark and CarlaOwner response: Hi Mark & Carla..... Thank You for your kind words.....look forward to seeing both of you soon. Nestor

We arrived to be met and shown everything by Sveta and she went out of her way to make sure that we had all we needed for our seven day stay. The trailer was as shown on website, very very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, it was loverly to step outside the door and be right on the beach. During the day we would sunbathe or if we needed a break from the heat we would sit in the gazzibo which was very comfortable. We found plenty of places not to far away to eat or shop. We spent our second week in Naples and had only been there a couple of days when I had an e-mail from Nestor telling me that our deposit had been credited to our account which we thought was brilliant. Well done Nestor and Sveta We hope to see you again soon....Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.

With my husband and 3 adult children (26/21/20) we stayed at this property. We stayed 7 days, our kids there 4. There was plenty of room for all of us! (2 pull out beds)We were nervous, as this was our 1st time using Homeaway, but the property was just as pictured! The camper was very clean and well maintained! The basic necessities were provided to get started, as well as "leftovers" from previous guests, as we did the same. (Toilet paper, paper towels and plates, coffee, etc.) The community is very quiet with friendly folks, but we were up early and off on adventures! This would be a wonderful property for an older couple (we're in our mid 40's), and if my children were younger..., the waterfront and the ability to "cook at home" to save money is a wonderful perk! Nestor and his wife are friendly people, met us, and showed us how everything worked. Our friends stayed a couple campers down. It is approx. 15 min. in to town., which has many dive/snorkel shops, grocery stores, and John Pennekamp Park. (I would suggest stopping at the Florida City Wal-Mart for better prices on the way in,turn left out of the store and the road leads you right in!) Nestor was very honest when I called about this NOT being a place for the YOUNGER crowd. (This was our 1st trip as a newly "blended" family, and enjoyed playing games, a couple of cocktails in the evening. I suggest Dominos, as they don't blow away!!) As for location for the Keys in general, it is not ideal, but we couldn't beat the price. We did leave and stay 2 days in Key West. I suggest Mrs. Mac's Kitchen (went back multiple times) and Big Daddies (prime rib and stone crab to die for) for meals. It is expensive from Miami south in general. Gas prices rise the closer to Key West you get, and suggest filing up in Key Largo. Please visit the Doplhin Research Center, and make reservations (if you are able) for the dolphin swim, and reservations to visit the Turtle Hospital, which is inexpensive (both in Marathon). Even with smaller children, these are true rescue facilities and will give you and your children wonderful knowledge on who to preserve the ocean and the animals that live there! Theatre of the Sea looked more amusement park in nature, but your children will get more of an appreciation in the other enviroments I suggested, and enjoy it just the same! Thank you to Nestor and his wonderful wife! We also received our deposit back 1 week after returning home. Ang & GordyRecommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank You...... Ang & Gord for a very well written, informative review. I would clarifiy only two points, were are 10 minutes away from the Center of Key Largo, and we are in the Upper Keys. The Location does become a springboard to reach back into Miami and the surrounding destinations or further into the Keys within a comfortable driving distance. There is a misunderstanding with regards to catering to the younger crowd. In our exchanges with Ang & Gord, we stated that this is not a loud, active location. As some of our Guests want to be within walking distance to a Tikki Bar, Live Music or Shopping. This is a Residential Community, where it is quiet, and caters to those, who want to lay back having their own private space, while being close to all amenities which Key Largo may have to offer. Our Guests over the three (3) years we have been with HomeAway, have varied in age from their 30's through retirement. Nestor & Sveta
