The charm and beauty of this cabin are matched by a host who truly cares about her guests and their enjoyment of this magical property. Patricia was wonderful and attentive to our questions before we arrived, and certainly while we were there. Wonderful bakery treats greeted us and we could not have been happier with the cabin, its decor, complete comfort, and amenities. Built in the '30s and lovingly restored/renovated, it is a smaller version of the Adirondack great camps the area is so famous for and yet very spacious with a great floorplan. My husband, two adult daughters and I, along with my parents who joined us, had a very memorable time. I'm still wistful about our stay here and can imagine the sounds of the wonderful steamboats that cruise by the dock every day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The cabin was more then I expected, charming, warm and comfortable. The views from the cabin were breathtaking, we couldn't take enough pictures to share with others. Our gracious host left out nothing, fresh cut flowers, and very thoughtul gifts, which we enjoyed and appreciated. My family (my daughter's, their spouses and children; age 2 through 23) had a great time, There was something for everyone, swimming, boating, shopping (a block from the center of town) etc, Family time is very important and this vacation gave us just what we all needed, enjoying each others company, from playing board games to coordinating activities and meals. We had a GREAT time, thank you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Sitting in the Adirondack chair, sipping my coffee with one of our 2 dogs lying at my feet, watching my husband, son, two daughters, son-in-law and yellow lab swimming, snorkeling and playing in the lake just a few steps away, I wondered how much more perfect this could be. This was our second summer vacation at this beautiful, spotless, spacious and comfortable log cabin. It’s the type of place you can’t wait to write a rave review about! Patricia, the owner, is a doll! Although so privately-situated, it is virtually walking distance to anything you might need. Since no restaurants in town could offer the same spectacular views, we cooked all our meals in the very well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed the view of the lake from the dining room table! On a beautiful, moonlit Thursday night, we watched the weekly fireworks display from just outside the cabin. Every morning, we would take long walks and then stop at the local bakery to bring goodies back to the rest of the family. Since my husband likes to boat, we rented a pontoon boat (from Capt. Bob’s in Boltons Landing – we highly recommend him) for a week to explore the lake, swim, and fish - and our family - 5 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. – had such a great time. This very special place has something for everyone – young and “not-so-young” alike! Absolutely most perfect summer vacation place – better than any shore vacation!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Stayed here for a long weekend with seven of my friends, and we were all glad we did. The cabin itself is amazing -- a rustic log cabin with modern amenities. We spent a lot of time eat and drinking in the closed in porch area, which gives a great view of the lake. And there was a roof deck we didn't even know about, which made for a great place to hang out. The owner could not have been better or more helpful. She helped us with parking (we needed an extra spot), let us stay a few extra hours because the whether wasn't perfect earlier in the weekend, and walked over while I was fishing off the dock at 7am to let me know a better place to fish. And there were fresh baked goods waiting for us as a special gift when we arrived. She also found a few nearby farmers' markets nearby when I asked her if she knew of any. Truly top-notch service. The cabin is right in the middle of Lake George Village, but still secluded, so it's a quiet and peaceful place. Everything -- bars, restaurants, shops, groceries -- is all only a short walk away. Prospect Mountain, a short but pretty strenuous hike, is a also a 5-minute walk from the house. We spent most of our time at the cabin, though, because it really was great. You can just sit on the dock, or on one of the lawn chairs up by the house, and spend the day relaxing. We were a bit worried we'd be too loud, since most of the other reviewers of the cabin were 50+ with families, and my friends and I are all younger, but it wasn't a problem at all. We'll definitely be considering staying here for another long weekend next spring.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this property for a weekend with 4 adults, one child and our dog. We had more than enough room for everyone. What a wonderful place - the owner was very gracious and friendly. The cabin itself was magical...between the stone fireplace, spiral staircase and private alcoves throughout the home. There is a stunning view of the lake from almost every window and it's wonderful to have the lake right outside your door, with the village in short walking distance. What a special place - highly recommended for pure relaxation in a lovely and scenic setting! None of us wanted to leave, but we can't wait to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My four best girlfriends and I turned 55 last year, and had decided on a Five-At-Fifty-Five weekend to celebrate. I was charged with finding a rental, and once I saw the pictures and reviews of this log cabin, I was sold. Patricia, the owner, lives next door and was always available for questions but never intrusive. The cabin is an AMAZING place to stay - you're just a block away from the main drag, but you'd never know it (unless the car show is in town! ) The cabin has everything you need and more, and Patricia left us some lovely welcoming items as well. It was a tad rainy on our weekend, but the weather was the only disappointment. The location was perfect for launching kayaks and swimming right in front of the house. We stayed here in early September, and the water was still a glorious temperature. All five of us would heartily recommend this rental to anyone who will appreciate a beautiful, extremely comfortable lakefront cabin with a stunning view of Lake George.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The pictures for this house don't do it justice...it is absolutely beautiful. Spotless, decorated in the Adirondack style, warm and inviting and comfy -- I never wanted to leave. The location can't be beat...a block away from the center of town, but you feel like you're out in the country. Prime location to view the fireworks -- it felt like our own private show. The owner, Patricia, could not have been more gracious. She provided lovely welcoming extras, including lots of booklets and maps about area activities, restaurants, etc. We went in the fall so we didn't go swimming, but there was a small beach right next door. This was my first time renting a house and I felt like I hit the jackpot. I highly recommend this rental!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

WOW! Where to begin? This place is truely a GEM ON THE LAKE! It is so quiet & peaceful since it is located on a point, you can actually turn your head completely in one direction and then the other and see nothing but water. Leave your car in the driveway, the location is perfect. You are 2 short walking blocks away from the center of Lake George Village for dining, shopping, boat rentals, attractions and the night life.Yet from the house you would never know it since you can't hear or see any of the action just a 2 minute walk away. The owner who lives nearby is very helpful and friendly, yet never bothers you. We as a family have been going to either Lake Placid or Lake George for many years now and have always rented a house on the lake. We have almost always stayed at very nice places, but considering everything from soup to nuts I must say this place was the best. When we returned home, our dog who swam every day was depressed for a week...come to think of it, we all were. We definately will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The owner of the cabin was very friendly and helpful. The cabin itself was very rustic,( in a good way),clean and the location was excellent. We had a wonderful time, Also the owner allowed us to bring our dog which worked out very well for us. I would recommend this property to all of my friends, family and co-workers.I would have like to have had the option of having air conditioning in this house for very warm and humid days.Lake George is a beautiful lake and I would highly recommend this location for a family vacation.Mike from NJRecommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
