The Richardson family recently completed the purchase and renovation of June Bright Cottage, one of Coast Cottages' signature properties. Located in St. Simons' most desirable vacation neighborhood, June Bright guests enjoy full privileges at Coast Cottages' fabulous beach front pools and pavilion. The neighborhood sits front and center on St. Simons Island's magnificent Coast Guard beach, the widest stretch of sand on the island. This is a place where you can walk the beach at high tide, low tide, any tide! (Note: vacation rentals south of Arnold Road cannot make this claim.)
June Bright Cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps 10 in perfect comfort. There's also an adorable crib for any wee ones in the family. All new furnishings and appliances make this cottage a cut above the rest. You'll love the high ceilings, Caribbean pine floors and plantation shutters in every room. The architecture was inspired by cottages from the 1920's with wrap around porches on two levels and a breathtaking view from the gazebo tower. You'll especially enjoy the glider rockers on one of the many covered balconies.

Enjoyed every minute of our trip! June Bright is one of the best equipped beach homes we have stayed in at Coast Cottages (this was the 6th house). Love the grill, beach chairs, toys for the kids, the kitchen was well rounded and having a water cooler in the house was wonderful! We hope to come back next year and enjoy this house again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

Came to the island for a destination wedding. Loved June Bright Cottage. Felt like home! Decor is serene and very relaxing. Pool and amenities are top notch. We loved the extra little touches. This cottage is beautifully decorated and located in a great spot on the island. The view from the top of the turrent with your morning cup of coffee really starts your day off right. The price was very reasonable and I can highly recommend Bright Cottage for a week or a month or two. A long weekend is simply not long enough - unless that is all of the free time that you have.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We held a team meeting/retreat at the June Bright. The team members were in amazement at the beautiful home. It is welcoming and comfortable which created the exact environment we needed. The home has beautiful decor and is wonderfully appointed. The spacious living room and dining room were perfect for large, comfortable gatherings. With its porches and private bedrooms, each person enjoyed space to relax and re-charge. This home is perfect for girls trips, family gatherings and for anyone who wants a luxury beach getaway.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Everything about the house was perfect. Yes, perfect. For those unfamiliar with St. Simons, the island is perfect, too. Mix of old oaks, Spanish moss and palms, and great (reasonable) restaurant choices - we did not see one fast-food joint on the entire island. Our family of seven adults could not have enjoyed the experience more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: June Bright is a wonderful home and St. Simons is a little slice of paradise. I've lived here for 18 years and can't imagine living anywhere else. We do have a few fast food restaurants, but there are so many great local restaurants it's hard to get around to all of them. About the owner: The Richardson family hails from North Georgia and are long time lovers of St. Simons Island. We recently purchased June Bright Cottage and have spent many hours renovating and redecorating it. The result is a perfect getaway place for our expanding family and is sure to please yours as well.

Coast Cottages is the best neighborhood on St. Simons Island to own a vacation home. With the addition of several grandchildren in recent years, we have outgrown our condominium and decided to invest in larger accommodations.

We're just a short stroll to the beach down a private brick paved lane. The pool and pavilion is a fantastic amenity and very well maintained. And the beach is almost indescribable ... enormous sand bars stretch out to sea, allowing you to walk out 1/2 mile from the dunes at low tide.
