Had a nice 4 night stay at Le Droit Townhouse (2 parents and 3 teenagers). Grocery store a little far, but everything else was perfect!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

I went to Washington with two colleagues for a conference. Renting this home was much cheaper than renting hotel rooms. The house offers plenty of room, a nice terrace and is well located (about 20-25 min walk to downtown, 5 min walk to the closest metro station). We were very pleased with the house and the service of the landlord who was very kind and quick answering our requests. Without hesitation I would recommend this place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented the house in July 14 for one week. It was a great location for a family of five. The metro was close by but we found driving much easier and convenient. The home itself was large enough for all of us, decorated nicely and had all the eminities of home. The owners as well as the management company were very helpful and kind. We had a great time despite the heat wave. The only thing I would say as a heads up to those thinking of traveling here is that the neighborhood is up and coming. Although the home itself is in an established neighborhood a couple blocks around the hospital is not as nice. While there are grocery stores close by you really would benefit from having a car.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

A colleague and I stayed at the house earlier this month as we were attending a conference in DC. The house was comfortable, homely and had everything we required. The garden was especially lovely and it was great to be able to sit outside and have dinner. The house is located conveniently for the convention centre, which is just a 15 minute walk away and once you're on the metro the rest of DC is easily accesible. The area in general was fine and in walking distance of U street, which was a fun place to hang out in the evenings. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and collegaues visiting DC.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Excellent property and very well priced. Had everything we needed for our stay. The only issue we had was no running water on the last night, but this was most likely due to the work being done in the street outside. By the morning it was restored. You will need a taxi to get to the main sites, but these are reasonably priced - if somewhat variable in cost (even using the same firm). Would recommend this property to those looking to stay away from the busy centre. The garden area is lovely too.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at the Le Droit Townhouse. The convenience of having a kitchen with full size appliances and kitchenware surpasses any hotel we could have stayed at. The place was very clean and we did not miss having a maid make our beds and replenish towels. There were plenty of towels and we loved our privacy. We appreciated having cold filtered water from the fridge dispenser, which we poured into our own water bottles to take for each day's adventures into the DC area. This townhouse is a short walk to the subway, so we took it everyday. We enjoyed riding the Old Town Trolley, and sightseeing the city on bicycles with "Bike and Roll" . We pre-purchased grand stand tickets on-line for the National Cherry Blossom Parade. It was well worth the money because all the dancing, singing, and performances are done in front of the grand stand area and it is reserved seating. At night, inside the townhouse, we did experience some expected normal city noises, but for the most part we felt like we were in our own little world inside the townhouse. The neighbors seemed quiet and friendly. It was so nice to have separate bedrooms for our 2 kids, ages 12 and 15. The master bedroom was roomy with 2 separate closets. The only reason why we give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that our bed (seemed small for a queen) was too small to fit both of us adults comfortably, being that my husband is 6'4". There are extra futons on the 1st floor if you need to sleep separate, or if there are just the 2 of you, there are the other 2 bedrooms. Other than that, it is a 5 star place and we highly recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed here during our spring break. It was clean, comfortable and conveniently located next to a Metro station. We used the Metro as our mode of transportation our entire stay. There was plenty of space for all 6 of us and the owner/manager was very helpfuly with settling us in and any questions we asked. However, there isn't very many places to eat that are close. I would recommend this location to a friend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and two sons (8 & 10) spent a week here and absolutely loved it. The home is clean, comfortable and roomy. The outdoor private courtyard is a wonderful place to relax. Having a fully functioning kitchen saved us a lot of money for meals. The home had ample room. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

Wonderfully charming home in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Easy two block trip to the Metro and a mere 20 min walk to the Washington Convention Center. We enjoyed our stay and the rate was very reasonable. The home was well stocked and very comfortable although I would say that it is really more appropriate for a maximum of 4-6 people with just one shower. There isn't much to do right outside the neighborhood but with a car and easy access to the Metro, Washington sights are easily accessible. The backyard, with the BBQ and comfortable sitting areas, would be a lovely gathering place in nice weather.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The LaDroit townhouse was a great vacation for our family of 6. The place is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The neighbors were nice and helpful. We were able to relax after our sightseeing advertures or head out for more! With the metro only blocks away we experienced Arlington Cemetary, the Smithsonian Museums, the Monuments, Capital, White House, just to name a few! The owner was accessible and helped to make our vacation easier with directions for things we needed and ideas of thing to see. Highly recommend for those who like to see what its like to live like a local.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The place was even better than we expected. With a weekly Metro pass we walked to the subway every day. This was a wonderful place to call home for a week for my wife and I, and three teenage children. Brochures, maps, Metro info, restaurant info -- all was supplied. It gives a nice feel to a city when you can live in it for the week, and not have to feel like a visitor in a hotel. This acted as 'home' for us, we could eat breakfast and suppers here, only worrying about lunch at the tourist destinations. The owner touched base with us once we settled in to make sure that everything was there that we needed. We would definitely return to this place and recommend it to others that are thinking of going to DC.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family and I were looking for a place that could be "home away from home" and we found it! It was extremely nice and comfortable. The hostess even left us some snacks! Not too far from the subway or the bus stop, flyers about places to see, restaurants to call for delivery, I could go on and on! It was great that we could eat in when we wanted to. The listing was correct in all aspects. Wifi, even! The owner called to make sure we got in okay, and had everything we needed. Safeway delivered groceries so we could cook our own. I definitely will recommend this property to anyone I know that is coming to DC. We were able to go the zoo, and all of the usual things--Smithsonian Museums, Capital, Library of Congress, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Tourmobile-to see what was there to see... Everything was very nice.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay at the LeDroit Townhouse was the most memorable weekends we’ve ever had. We were able to be “at home” away from home – in beautiful – elegant surroundings (just like we like it) – and in D.C.! Our hostess could have spent the weekend with us – we bonded immediately! Every colleague I connected with upon returning to work (refreshed and excited) requested your site information. We plan to make Bed and Breakfast DC an annual trip! Every aspect of the trip – from booking it to the last day – was a pleasant experience! Thank you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
