This unique apartment with CENTRAL AIR CONDITION, is located in the heart of the Marais, just a block and one half from the Place des Vosges, Rue de Turenne. The apartment is inside a very large arbored and cobblestone courtyard. It has floor to ceiling bay windows and lots of privacy and light. The building dated from the 17th century and has a glass elevator. Very nicely redecorated common area.
The apartment is located on the third floor (US) with elevator. This unit was completely rebuilt a few years ago with an entry way, a large one bedroom with small balcony, a living room with American kitchen and 1 1/2 Baths. Very high ceilings and all modern amenities. This apartment has been designed to be able to accomodate easily two couple.
The apartment uniqueness also lies into being at different levels, from one room to the next, which gives it a very spacious and contemporary feeling. High ceilings throughout and best quality appliances, materials and furnitures, dimmers and recessed lighting.
The entrance, living room and bedroom have hardwood floor. The American kitchen (with large window) and the living room face the arbored large courtyard and has a wall to wall bay window. The living room and the entrance are separated by a large pocket door that allows complete privacy for the second couple. The half bath is located off the living room. (There is a top of the line thick mattress sofa bed in the living room).
The kitchen is American style with Bosch appliances. Grey marble tiles on the floor. The large bathroom has navy blue marble tiles on the floor with beautiful white tiles on the walls. Large designer vanity with lots of storage room, toilet and towel warmer. The tub is a special design that doubles as tub and shower. You can reach the bathroom from either the bedroom or the entry. The other half bath consists of a designer sink and cabinet and toilet. Grey marble tiles on the floor.
The bedroom has a large window and faces Rue des Minimes, which is a small quiet street. Very sunny and nice outlook over an ironed balcony. The bedroom has wall to wall built-in mirorred closets, His and hers specially designed to give you lots of room for your long coats or your pants, built in shelves and drawers. Small desk with electrical, TV/Ethernet hook up. There is a designer queen-size bed.
Recessed lights with dimmers with 2 controls over the bed.
There is a guardian in the building and also a code at the entry way and a digicode to the apartment building.
We have done our best to design this apartment with the highest care and quality for your comfort and enjoyment.
Our apartments are cleaned and prepared for your arrival with care by full professional staff. Our Assistant will receive you at the apartment and will give you the keys, walk you through and show you how everything works, (appliances, heat etc...) and will be available to you with just a phone call while staying in the apartment for any problems that might occured, or if you need a driver for sightseeing.
Extra cleaning service during your stay can be arranged for you at the time of your arrival or by the owner.
The Marais is the Marais and one of the most exciting area of Paris. This apartment is closed to the Picasso Museum, Beaubourg,the Seine, the Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame. Two subway stations are just a couple three blocks away, and the Place des Vosges is almost your backyard with its history, galleries and many cafes and restaurants.
You will have a book in the apartment telling you all about your neighborhood, such as stores, buses and other restaurants: many of our tenants leave their own ideas of best restaurants in Paris!

Perfect Apartment near Notre Dame

My family of four just returned from Paris and we stayed at this particular apartment. The pictures are right on. It's a beautiful property with a quiet, inviting, flowering and amazing courtyard. The apartment was just big enough for our family. The master bedroom is huge, with a comfortable bed, plenty of closet space, wonderful window and balcony and bath and many thick towels. PERFECT! Our teen girls slept on the sofa bed, which was just fine for a week. The fridge, washer/dryer, air conditioning and accommodations and separate bath were a plus. We were in a great location with many dinners by the Seine. I would stay here again when I go back to Paris. A terrific place.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I planned this 9 day stay in Paris to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we were not disappointed. The pictures do not do the apartment justice...it is well appointed, clean, spacious, quite, extremely comfortable and lovely. As they say location is everything and this location had everything plus it is in a very safe neighborhood. Close to all the sites, transportation, great shopping and restaurants. We would spend hours walking and exploring the neighborhood. We only had one small setback the A/C did not work the first few days, luckily it was not hot. However, Catherine attended to getting it fixed promptly and delivered fans in the interim. She does everything possible to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. There is a great wine shop next door and the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful at selecting wines. Our last night in Paris we bought a bottle of champagne from her shop and took an evening cruise down the Seine to toast a wonderful vacation. We fell in love with Paris and had a wonderful experience thanks to the apartment at Rue de Turenne!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay in this lovely apartment this past September. The location was excellent, in the lively Marais district, yet set in a very quiet and private courtyard. It is very easy to navigate the city, as bus and metro stops are nearby. The decor is modern and chic, with all of the amenities an American might not find in other Parisian apartments. Catherine was extremely accomodating. In fact, when the satellite tv box was malfunctioning on a weekend when the satellite company was closed, she replaced it with her own personal set! Thanks again Catherine, this will be our Parisian home away from home.

Ever since we returned home from Paris I have been daydreaming of the city and this apartment. I spent 8 days here with my 18-year old daughter and it served our needs perfectly. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is, of course, wonderful. I have rented VRBO-listed properties before and the online photos/descriptions have not always reflected the reality. But this time we were so pleased and thrilled that the apartment lived up to its photos and description. It is as wonderful as it sounds! We were greeted by owner Catherine who could not have been more pleasant - and who patiently waited for us to make our way from the airport. I may have to make a point of visiting Paris more often - and I imagine I'll want to return to Rue de Turenne!

CATHERINE MANY THANKS FOR THE USE OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL APT FOR 2 WEEKS IN JULY. CAROL AND I HAD A GREAT TIME EXPLORING PARIS--SITES--MUSEUMS--VERSAILLES--AND ESPECIALLY RESTAURANTS. I CAN,T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR HELP IN GETTING MY WALLET BACK AFTER LOSING IT IN A TAXI--YOU AND YOUR ASSISTANT WERE GREAT. THE APT WAS A PERFECT BASE FOR US IN PARIS--THE MARAIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY IN PARIS. My wife and I stayed in this Marais apartment with our two teenage sons for a week in August 2006. The apartment worked perfectly for us. It's conveniently located in the Marais district near the St. Paul Metro station (5 minute walk). The building has a large interior courtyard so the kitchen and living room look out onto trees and flowers. It was very quiet at night. The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated. It has one and half modern baths each of which have adequate space to put away toiletry articles. There is plenty of closet space so you can really unpack and put your stuff and luggage away. And the electrical supply is modern so we had no power outages in spite of our use of all the appliances. High-speed internet access worked perfectly the first time we plugged in our laptop. We cooked breakfast and supper in the apartment and ate lunch out. The kitchen is compact but carefully thought out. It has an electric cooktop and oven, a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. All of these worked fine and the instruction manuals for them were right on the counter. It also had a toaster and blender. There are grocery markets, wine shops, boulangeries, etc. five minutes away on Rue St. Antoine. We would definitely try to get this apartment on our next visit to Paris.
