I cannot think of a more perfect retreat. The house and property are absolutely spectacular. Beautiful surroundings and incredibly relaxing. We enjoyed a wonderful snowstorm and the hills could not have been more perfect for sledding. The fireplace was roaring and the gorgeous kitchen was well used. It was a fabulous few days with my sons. Dianna was so great to work with and I know we will return for another getaway, (perhaps trying a different season) but the winter wonderland was simply perfect!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We came up to enjoy a little family time with the new baby & the Irish Music Festival & Garlic Festival. The house was amazing-awesome to give everyone their own space & still let everyone enjoy each others company. Perfect distance from the festivals. We ran & biked every day. Great scenery, beautiful grounds-great for family photos. Everyone cannot wait to come up next year. Maybe the baby will even swim in the pond!Did you find this review helpful? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already trying to plan our return trip! The house and grounds are really wonderful!! We enjoyed the history and wondered why the family didn't use the house now. It's such a gorgeous spot! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay later on Sunday. Of course, we didn't want to leave, but we ended up leaving around 6 p.m. on Sunday. Spending that extra time there was great. Serene & Peaceful, a perfect place to relax and unwind!! Beautiful home and grounds! Watching the variety of ducks that were flying in and out of the lower pond was amusing. The home and grounds are spectacular! Be sure to walk up the hillside or you will miss some great views. The ponds are awesome - be sure to take a dip in the upper pond!! We have stayed in many places in VT and this has surpassed our needs and expectations! The deer run through the farms on the North side - especially after dark. We can't wait to return for another stay!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
