Everything you need was provided. Kitchen was well stocked with every appliance and a nice pantry supply too. The weather was storming when we arrived and Audrey called to be sure we had arrived safely. House is beautiful and spotless. Definitely will stay here again.

Owner response: Marlyn, thanks for your kind words! I hope your get-away allowed you some downtime to relax and also have some fun, after the stressful week you had endured, with all the rains and flooding in your area. I'm glad we could provide enough to make your stay comfortable. Always open to any suggestions to make the best possible stay for our guests.
We loved our experience staying at this home. Lovely evening views, quiet, and relaxing.

Owner response: The 15 minute drive from the city is worth the peace and quiet of a country home. Being away from the city lights, makes for an awesome starry sky at night, also. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Gary & Audrey
My friends and I stayed here while visiting the Wineries in Palisade. The house felt like home and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. Details were considered such as the extra pillows and blankets. There was even extra propane for the outdoor grill. The owners were great and very informative about the area. I would stay here again.

Owner response: Liz, so glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay at the house, and that you felt comfortable there. We have tried to think of everything to meet the needs of our guests, always welcome any other suggestions. The wineries of the area sure have grown into a major attraction for out of town guests. Everyone has lots of fun sampling the many varieties, and the local families who grow the grapes and make the wines are so gracious and informative. Thanks so much! Gary & Audrey
Property was clean and comfortable. Ample space for our large group.

Great place. It's a bit out of the way, but I kind of like being away from the madness.

This is my second time staying here and it was just as pleasant as my first. The owners are very easy to work with and their rates are very reasonable. The place is always clean and the view is great, especially in the evening. I'm looking forward to next year already for our annual trip. Thank you!

Disappointed with the location
Disappointed with the location
We were all very pleased with how easy the owners were to work with. The property was very well maintained and comfortable. The biggest frustration, however, was the lack of detail regarding the property's location. All information we had said Grand Junction. Truthfully, this property is in Whitewater, which is a ways out from Grand Junction. Because this information was not communicated with us until after we had paid in full, we were stuck with a location that did not meet our needs. We, in fact, were forced to pay for another room closer to where we needed to be to simply make all of our obligations in Grand Junction. I would recommend this property to anyone not looking to be in Grand Junction, or anyone that is not on a schedule in the area.

Owner response: Sorry you were disappointed with location. Discussed via e-mail with party making arrangements, back in Jan., property location in respect to attending wedding in The Redlands. Also was stated the desire to explore the Grand Valley area. Sent contract, ret'd to me with deposit 2-8-13, changing reservation dates, eliminating the last day of contract, by Mother-in-law. Rec'd a call from Father-in-law on 6-10-13, requesting to add another day at end of contract, unable to oblige due to next booking already set, therefore party had to rent hotel room for final night in area, sorry. Final pmt was not received until 5-30-13, after I sent e-mail on 5-22-13 requesting balance to be paid. (contract clearly states final pmt to be paid 30 days in advance of arrival date, which was to be 6-20.) The address of property is clearly printed on the contract, Whitewater is stated as the address. The map on our VRBO site shows where our house is located in Whitewater. Having the contract 5 months in advance would also allow ample time to Mapquest, etc., the address for exact details. The VRBO website does not have a separate site for every little town in the surrounding Grd. Jct. area, therefore, Whitewater, Palisade, Fruitvale, etc. are all listed under the Grd. Jct. site.
Loved the house. It was clean and well kept. Large kitchen equipped for cooking. The owner was quick to answer our questions, even on Christmas day.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving in Grand Junction. We met our daughter and her husband from Utah and we came from Denver, if was a great half way point. The house was comfortable, cleaned and close to town. We hope to be able to come here again in the future!! Audrey was so nice and easy to work with. The house was well stocked with anything that we needed, extra blankets, full kitchen, fenced yard for the dog. Thanks again!!

Owner response: I am so happy that you checked the site again, and were able to grab the holiday time, after we had the previous booking cancel! Worked out great for both of us! I'm glad the house was a good fit for you. We have had quite a few guests "meeting in the middle" from Utah, to visit their Colorado families, makes a shorter drive for everyone. Thanks for your kind words, hope you are able to make it back again. *Just a note to those looking for a vacation rental; if the dates you are interested in, are already booked, check back from time to time, we do have an occasional cancellation.
My highschool girlfriends and I rented this house for a week. The house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We did not cook; but ate out everyday and the house is a comfortable drive into Grand Junction where there are many nice places to eat. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit the Grand Junction area.

Owner response: Nice to hear you girls had a good visit. Nothing like reminiscing days gone by with dear friends, and catching up on the latest news. We are glad the house was comfortable for you, and also, that you enjoyed the many restaurants in town. Grand Junction has so much to offer, with the great "old town" eateries and shops, as well as the newer big box stores, something for everyone. Thanks for staying with us! Gary & Audrey
The home was centrally located for the things we did while we were there. It was nice to have a fenced in area so our dog could stay outside and sit on the porch and watch the kids go to the bus stop in the morning. The area was very quiet and peaceful; a good place to sit on the porch in the morning for a cup of coffee. The house is very spacious and we had everything we needed. Audrey was very easy to work with and answered any questions we had before our arrival. There were instructions for us when we arrived so we didn't have to wonder what was expected of us before we left. This was our first time on the western slope and we will definitely be back!

Owner response: Thank you for visiting us from Iowa! So glad to hear you enjoyed the Grand Junction area and all it has to offer. The benefit of being away from the city, is the serenity of the setting, yet we are conveniently close enough to the city and all the surrounding attractions. We are pleased you were comfortable in our home. Thanks again. Audrey & Gary
