This was my and my family's first experience with HomeAway and it will definitely not be our last. The home was exactly as advertised. The convenience to Old Town is a real plus. You can walk over and shop or have a meal or just sit outside and have coffee. The museums are literally across the street. We also made good use of the grill on the patio.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 9/12

We totally enjoyed our stay in Old Town Albuquerque and staying at this home had a good deal to do with our pleasure. It was a 3 minute walk to Old Town. It was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. We came to relax and this place helped us do so. Totally recommend to others.Owner response: Thank you for the kind remarks. We had a wonderful time during Spring Break. This casita is very roomy and has all the amenities that a real home would have. If you don’t like being surrounded by hotel people this is the way to go and its way more affordable. Old Town is walking distance and all the shops, restaurants, and people were amazing. I see why this casita rents out for months at a time. If you get the chance to be in Albuquerque I would highly recommend staying here. Definitely worth coming back to in the near future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

MY HUSBAND AND I JUST RETURNED FROM ALBUQUERUE TO NEW ENGLAND .. WE HAD THE WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND A MONTH AT THIS BEAUTIFUL, AND PERFECTLY LOCATED CASITA... EVERY MORNING AT 6:45 YOU WILL HEAR THE BEAUTIFUL CHURCH BELLS FROM SAN FILIPE DI NERI IN OLD TOWN. WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO START THE DAY ATTENDING MASS AT THIS LOVELY OLD CHURCH. MANY HOURS WERE SPENT AT THE LOVELY PARK AND MUSEUMS ACROSS THE STREET WITH OUR TWO GRANDSONS. OR WALKING INTO OLD TOWN FOR ICE CREAM, SOPAPILLAS OR SOME CANDY FROM THE CANDY LADY!! BY FAR THIS WAS THE BEST VACATION WE HAVE HAD IN ALBUQUERQUE BEING IN THIS GREAT HOME. THANK YOU AND HOPEFULLY WE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN .Owner response: It was a pleasure meeting you both and I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I look forward to your next stay.

Myself and my husband had the good fortune of staying in this house for 4 months while working in Albuquerque. As it was such an extended stay we had researched extensively and viewed many properties and this house stood out from the rest. All of our work colleagues agreed that we had found the best house. The house is situated in a very quiet residential street, but just steps from all the museums and shops and restaurants of Old Town. The interior is large, airy and beautifully decorated. We experienced the end of the cold weather of winter through the hot summer months and we were extremely comfortable in both climates. The high walled garden and roof top patio are a beautiful quiet, private oasis with lots of outdoor sitting and eating options. The landlady was very accommodating and friendly and was available to help us with all our inquiries about the house, area and local attractions. I very much look forward to getting the chance to stay at her beautiful home again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Although a comfortable and an extremely convenient location we found this property, upon our arrival, not well cleaned - dead cockroaches, dusty surfaces, and unvacuumed rugs. Having my infant son with me I was unwilling to put him down on the ground for play until I cleaned the areas where he would be. After bringing this to the owners/manager's attention I was treated as if I made up the conditions. Unapologetic, she was unwilling to comp any of the cleaning fee. Overall the accommodations themselves were satisfactory and hopefully this was a fluke. That being said, I will not be staying there again as the customer service was poor and I was offended by the way I was treated.Owner response: We look into the matter that was presented by tenants. We tried to discuss with tenants that we would offer a discount on next stay. Upon cleaning crew going in after tenants left the sheets were very badly soiled as well as the comforter. We hadn't mentioned that to the tenants we decided to take care of the issues that was presented to us. Cleaning is cleaning and we try to do our best in making it work for all. When issues arrise we try to do our best to accommodate tenants and they were treated in a professional manner.

Our one month stay was wonderful! The weather was perfect and the casita was just as described, very comfortable. We could walk to Old Town, restaurants, the wonderful park across the street, and museums. The location was also ideally located close to a convenient highway system for getting anywhere quickly. We really enjoyed the Zoo, Aquarium, Gardens, Acoma Sky City Pueblo, Sandia Peak, Petroglyph Park, the Turquoise Trail and Tinkertown. The Popejoy Performing Arts Center at the University of New Mexico is outstanding--saw Mama Mia and wish we could have stayed for the Beatles Tribute. Also took a side trip to Roswell and Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns were unbelievable and we are so glad we made the trip. We loved every minute of our stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We have just ended a 2 month stay in Old Town Albuquerque. We enjoyed every minute of every day. The casa was even more than I expected! It was beautiful, had a well equipped kitchen and everything we needed to be comfortable. We felt at home from the moment we unpacked out suit cases. It is located on a quite street, with nice neighbors and the park is just around the corner. The Plaza of Old Town is a 90 second walk from the front door. There was plenty of entertainment, dinning and shopping to be found. We were traveling with our dog so the walled in yard was a big plus. We also enjoyed sitting on on the main balcony enjoying the weather. In fact we enjoyed it so much we have booked it for 2 months next year! Long story short beautiful home, wonderful location, great area and super host.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
