  Great property, great location, great owners!! It was the perfect combination of old with modern comforts. Owners took care of all of our concerns. We will definitely be back!

  We have been visiting this cottage for several years now to visit family, and it has truly become our home-away-from-home. It's very comfortable for 4 (husband + 2 daughters +me), well-appointed, clean, quiet, well-maintained and we have never wanted for anything. The decor is beautiful and welcoming and has an elegant southern feel, yet is still comfortable. It's location is ideal being within walking distance of our favorite coffee shop, restaurants, galleries, shops and the beach. I can't say enough good things about Sandy and Ronnie, the owners. They have always been incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend this cottage.

  Our family first rented this unit for the week of Cruisin’ the Coast in October 2011 and had the most amazing time. This past year (2012), we decided to rent both sides (Southern Comfort and Latitude Adjustment) for the same October event. The home is very comfortable, close to the downtown shops and restaurants, and a short stroll to the beach. What a perfect location! The home was clean, charming, and stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the southern décor and made good use of the accommodating outdoor space. We plan to repeat this October rental for many years to come and highly recommend this VRBO to anyone vacationing in the area.

  I enjoyed my stay at "Southern Comfort" Main Street Bay St Louis. The home was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. I look forward to staying there again.

  My wife and I have stayed several times at this rental and have been extremely satisfied every time. The house is always clean, lawn is manicured, and everything works inside. Very nice furniture, modern kitchen and bathrooms; well stocked with cooking utensils, glasses, towels, etc. Short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and St. Louis Bay. Can sit on the front porch with a drink and watch the world go by. The listing description and photos are accurate; what few questions we had, the owners were vey quick to answer. Stongly recommend this charming house for a short or long stay.

  Feeling a little uneasy because of a past bad experience in reserving vacation condo's, we didn't know what to expect. We were so pleasantly suprised! The cottage is so clean and cosy, but you have all the modern conveniences you are used to...internet that works very well, washer, dryer, comfy beds, flat screen TV and cable...my teenagers didn't miss anything. Don't be concerned with sharing the duplex with another family....we could not hardly hear them and they were kind too. Also, with all four of us (including my teenage daughter who takes very looong showers), the hot water never ran out. The back porch is shaded the whole day and is very quiet. Sandy and Ronnie were both so nice and they really do aim to please and make your stay the best memory possible. Thank you both - you succeded!!

  Just spent a long weekend at Southern Comfort and had a wonderful time. Everything was excellent! The decor, location & comfort level couldn't have been better. The owners are wonderful to work with and great hosts. I can't think of anything negative. Thank-you for a wonderful stay! We will be returning.

  A friend and I spent 3 days at Southern Comfort and enjoyed them a great deal. Dealing with the owner ahead of time via email and phone was very pleasant and efficient. The cottage is shotgun style, newly appointed and very attractive. Wi-fi, tv, a/c, appliances all were excellent. The beds were comfy--but be aware that the two beds in the smaller bedroom are small. They may be twins, but they seemed smaller. No problem if it's for kids. Linens and other supplies were plentiful and excellent quality. The kitchen supplies were very good, too--especially when compared to what we have run into in some other places! The porches are shared with the other unit in the other side of the cottage. This was no problem for us as the other tenants were very nice and our schedules were kind of opposite so it all worked beautifully. The back porch has a roof, so it's shaded all day--very nice. It's a great place for breakfast or any meal--or just to sit and read. Birds singing and nice breezes. The town is cute with little shops and places to eat anything from hot dogs to health food to sea food galore to fine dining. People are friendly. One thing to be aware of--if you're not familiar with the area--the water is kind of funky. Locals will admit to this, so if you're not local you may want to bring bottled water or stock up when you arrive. It's really not a problem if you're prepared. This is no reflection on Southern Comfort--it's the whole region. We didn't meet Sandy until just before we left, but she was extremely helpful before and during our stay to make it the best possible. My friend and I have rented several VRBO places around the country--from British Columbia to Florida and many places in between. We've never been disappointed. It's the best way to travel and really experience something new. I can happily recommend Southern Comfort.
