We weren't sure what to expect, but it was the best vacation I have ever had. The property was beautiful, clean, secluded, and very woodsy and charming. Loved the location, loved the scenery, loved everything about it! Will almost definitely book this place again in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

CONS: The cabin is TINY compared to the pictures (everyone commented on this in our party), the first floor is very uneven making some doors not stay open and others not able to open more than 45 degrees. The downstairs bedroom is EXTREMELY HOT without the windows open for sleeping (in February) while the rest of the cabin is a comfortable temperature for sleeping. I understand this is an older cabin but the price-point is too high for its basic condition. There is no phone and our cell (SPRINT) was too choppy to use. The only television is in the loft (not a Con or Pro) but inconvenient for us. PROS: Owner has excellent customer service, amenities are off the charts satisfactory (gas BBQ, a full pound of coffee, tons of spices, baking supplies, full bottles of shampoo/conditioner, tons of laundry soap, beautifully cleaned cabin with nice folded towels to greet you on the beds)Owner response: Thank you so much for your candid feedback. It sounds like you enjoyed your getaway despite the 'cons' you mentioned. There certainly are quirks to maintaining an old cabin. Glad to hear you appreciated all of the amenities! We do try to keep the home affordable while still offering enough extras to impress our guests. Keep Vacasa in mind for your next stay--we may have a more suitable home to meet your tastes!

This is a perfect cabin for 1-2 couples or a family. It was very clean and comfortable and we will definitely stay here again. So many of the rentals in the area are packed so closely together that there's no privacy. But with this cabin, that's not the case at all. The bed in the upstairs loft was absolutely comfortable - better than our bed at home! The pictures online do not do it justice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great home We stayed 4 nights and had a great time! It's a comfortable little home and kept clean, with nice designs and features. Upstairs is a great area to relax and room enough for several to sleep comfortably.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife Katie and I decided that we wanted to find a place that was far enough away yet close enough to be an easy way to go on vacation. We definitely found it. The cabin is very close to Mt. Hood and many other attractions. It is only a couple miles from town yet makes it feel like you are out in the woods. The location was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable and relaxing. The cabin exceeded my expectations and made for a great vacation. I am most likely going to return to this cabin for my next vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

We (4 kids ages 4 to 10 and 2 adults) enjoyed our stay! Nice clean well-maintained cabin, close to lots of Mt Hood attractions. Boys enjoyed being in the loft (wouldn't be good for toddlers) and picking wild flowers in the yard. Loved having laundry, and kitchen was well-outfitted. Nice place for a summer getaway!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful, clean little cabin. The interior is comfortable and was perfect for some time away with my husband. (Wasn't sure I wanted to leave). I love how many hiking trails are close by and how quiet the neighborhood is.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Cabin was clean and is very spacious than what we expected. It has three beds that can comfortably sleep 2. Additionally, the sofa converts to a bed for 2 more (kids, if you have). Fire place in the back is good for camp fire kind of experience. Would recommend this cabin and will stay in the same when we visit Mt.Hood again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

This was a perfect getaway for two Moms on Mother's Day weekend! Very clean and the beds are so comfortable. Enjoyed being able to have our dogs with us. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and it is close enough to Rhododendron for a few things we forgot.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We had three nights at this quiet retreat. It's tucked into the tiny community of Rhododendron off of Rte 26 and very convenient to Mt. Hood -- just about 20 minutes from Meadows and a little less from the lodge at Timberline. Very clean and tidy, warms up quickly. We found the local BBQ to be a congenial place with good beer and food and friendly staff. If you're from away, be forewarned that Mt Hood Foods is pretty much just a big convenience store. You're better off picking up groceries in Sandy if that's your direction of arrival. Our only regret is not having more time to enjoy it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

My husband and I are expecting our second child in a few weeks and we wanted to go on a little "babymoon" somewhere close to home before the big day. This cabin was a perfect getaway spot for what we wanted. We spent most the the 2 days watching movies and sitting by the fire. We went out to dinner at The Resort at the Mountain and had a wonderful meal. The bed was very comfortable and although we didn't do any cooking I noticed the kitchen was well stocked. The place was very clean and well maintained. I would not only come back and stay here again but would reccommend it to anyone looking for a nice and affordable place to stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This was our 2nd time staying in this Beautiful Cabin. We had fun the first time, but had an even better time the 2nd round. We were more familiar with the area this time and the variety of activities available for us. We planned out our fun filled vacation with activities on Mount Hood, including Skibowl, Mt. Hood Ski resort and places to take our youngest one so he could go sledding. After the snow, we came back to the cozy cabin and relaxed in front of the Fireplace. We played board games, read and my boys brought the PS3 to play video games. It was great. Everyone, including our teenager, had a wonderful time and didn't want to go home. Thank you, again!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. It is very spacious and decorated nicely. The cabin is stocked with just about every essential you need for your stay, just bring your food and clothes. Government camp is only 10 minutes away and the ski/snowboard rental store is just a couple of miles from the cabin (very handy and nice people too). It sits on a large lot. After staying here my Husband is actually thinking about purchasing a lot for ourselves and building on it (He's a city man). Thank you Rick!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed here for 3 nights in January. Its ideal for a quiet getaway or a cozy place to crash after a day on the mountain. The weather was too warm for snow but there are some short trails by the Sandy River and a good running/walking path that starts behind the Skyway Restaurant and goes East along the river. The cabin is in a small community but the neighbors are far enough away to be seldom seen. Loud groups or late nighters may be a bit obtrusive for the community, but anyone who wants to relax with friends or family around a campfire in the back yard will love it. The driveway can fit 3-4 cars if necessary. A group of 6 may be a bit snug but should be fine for a long weekend. I really enjoyed my time there and will probably go again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We spent the weekend here with our 7 month old daughter and had a very relaxing time. We didn't do anything but relax and cook some great food and watch some movies snuggled up in the loft . Would love to stay again and perhaps snowshoe and ride next time. Great spot for a small family getaway or to share with another couple.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I almost do not wish to share with everyone how much we enjoyed this cabin as I know we will have to complete for rental dates! The cabin is location is very convenient - just minutes to mountain activities as well as stores and coffee shops. The photos of the interior do not do it justice. It is very clean and organized with quality furnishings. I will definitely stay here again and again. The price couldn't be more reasonable for such a luxury cabin. It feels and lives bigger than its stated square footage. We brought our Weimaraner who loved playing in the yard and we really appreciated finding pet-friendly lodging of such high quality. The owner is an absolute pleasure to work with as well. We'll be back soon and often!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Two friends and I spent three days at this cabin and couldn't have been happier. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, the cabin is warm and cozy, all the appliances were in good condition, and everything was clean. The setting is lovely, quite near the river and a short drive to Mt. Hood, Lolo Pass and tons of trails. We had cell phone service if we stood just outside the cabin. We have T-Mobile and AT&T. Another provider might have a stronger signal in the area. All said, this cabin is a wonderful, relaxing getaway--and the owners are extremely nice and responsive. That counts for a lot.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was much more beautiful and well kept that I imagined. The huge windows upstairs in the loft. Beautiful linens and other appointments. It was like staying at a luxury hotel in the middle of the forest. Truly a relaxing oasis. Thank you so much. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.
