This cottage is located on a secluded 1 acre lot with mature pine, oak and maple trees, stunning sunrises and sunsets...and the rest of the day isn't bad either. If you're looking for the excitement of water and jet skiing, then this is not the spot for you. Nose Lake is a 44 acre 'no wake lake' with an abundance of wildlife and great fishing. Although you will feel like you're on a northwoods adventure, you are close to airports, shopping, and many golf courses.

No surprise to our family that we'd enjoy Nose Lake. We had been there last year and put it on our Must-Do List for this summer. You can't go wrong with a quiet north woods lake that's big enough to swim, paddle, and fish in. But small enough to keep those pesky jet skis away. The cottage is charming and updated to keep us comfy in cool or warm weather. The boys loved relaxing to satellite TV before bed. And the fire pit got a workout too. Once again it was hard to leave and get back to reality.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had the pleasure of staying at this vacation rental for a couple of days and were delighted by the location, amenities, and hospitality. It's a true deal for the money! The lake and location are beautiful, it's so serene you feel like you need to whisper to keep from disturbing nature. The paddle boat and row boat are great as well, fun fishing on this lake! It's a smaller cabin with a small bathroom but the kitchen and living areas are well stocked with appliances and the deck and benches are where we spent most of our time. Close enough to Rhinelander if you need anything but far enough away to get out of the hustle of reality. Thumbs up to this stay, we hope to be back again!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

Very nice, cozy, and comfortable cabin. Just as described in the ad and photos. I used the cabin as a base while deer hunting in the area. The weather was nice enough so I was able to take the boat out and row around the lake. The owners are great hosts and neighbors.I am looking forward to going back again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week away from the "hustle and bustle" of life during a week in June 2011. We loved the secluded cabin and the private lake. This property is well taken care of, and the owners were a joy to work with. We enjoyed having the lake pretty much to ourselves in the row boat while we stayed near the property. We also liked checking out Rhinelander and the Northwoods area. My only comment would be that the bed was not as comfortable as we would have hoped, but we made do.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We just got back from spending a week at this cabin. It was adorable, clean and Gordy and Sandy thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. So may little things to make the cabin so comfortable. We are hoping to go back this fall and again in the summer. We had our 9 years old grandson and he loved it so much he said" when I get older I want to buy a house on Nose Lake and a boat. Fishing was perfect and he awlays caught something when we went out in the boat. We enjoyed our stay and wish we could of stayed another wek. It was so quiet and relaxing. Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Gordy and I moved to Rhinelander in 1992 when the Wisconsin Army National Guard moved us here for Gordy's job. We have since said many times that we should have moved here 20 years earlier. While Gordy has since retired from being a FT Army Training NCO he is still working every day at our custom embroidery business while I work FT as the Manager of a temporary agency. If you decide that Rhinelander is in your blood after visiting here...I can get you a job.
Why the Owner Chose Rhinelander:
We chose to buy the cottage next to our family home when the current owner decided to sell and have not regretted our decision for one moment because we can share the peace of this setting with lots of new friends.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
On a daily basis we enjoy watching the squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, an occasional bear, eagles, loons and a variety of other wildlife.
