Our family of 5 had a very nice stay here. The cottage is small, but well air-conditioned and we all slept comfortably. It is right on the beach, and my husband and son spent most days in front of our cottage catching fish and crab for our dinner. I rounded dinner out with trips to the great produce stand in nearby Milton. There is also a Walgreens and grocery store there (about 4 miles). That comes in handy because the house is minimally equipped with paper towels, TP, dish soap etc. Also in town is a great restaraunt called The Miltonian. We loved it, very popular with the locals. Great food, great service.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

This was our first trip to Primehook Beach and we loved it. It's so peaceful, the water is calm, and the scenery is fantastic. Swimming in the water was acceptable to the younger adults and of course, the dogs, but my husband and I weren't so inclined. It's bay water! We enjoyed kayaking, biking, walking.and bird watching. This cute little house was clean and provided all that we needed. I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We had such a fantastic week at your cottage! It felt like home from the minute we opened the door. Everything we needed was right there and our dogs loved their first visit to the beach! The beach was so quiet and relaxing and just steps from the door. We enjoyed the entire week and would love to come back again.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage on the bay. It was very cozy and comfortable and convenient to the water. The neighbors across the street welcomed us and even left boogie boards by the outdoor shower for our kids to use. We enjoyed fishing on the beach and collecting shells and having smores. We were able to play in the calm, warm water for hours at a time, not worrying about the kids safety. The water wasn't rough or deep, it was wonderful. Can't wait to go back next year!Recommended for: Families with young children.

My family and I arrived here on Saturday June 23 2012. The beach at Prime Hook is very nice. It is very smooth and nice. We went to a couple other beaches and this is by far a lot nicer. The cottage is a very homey and quaint. There was 6 of us and we fit very comfortably! The views of the bay and nature reserve are breath taking and peaceful! We have already had 3 wonderful days and I am sure the rest of the week will be just as nice... I hope we can come back year after year......!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

My family and I had a comfortable and relaxing experience staying at this cozy cottage on Primehook Beach. It had a country home feel and the fact that we could walk right out back to sit on the beach at any time of day was a nice feeling. We spent many a night out there listening to the ocean, relaxing by a fire, while during the day we drove out to the other beaches Delaware has to offer which were all within convenient driving distance. I also have to add that the drive through the wildlife refuge to get to the cottage was truly a scenic landscape. The cottage is old, yet well-maintained and clean. It has everything you need to spend a week or long weekend. Driving distance to many grocery stores, restaurants, and outlet stores! A memorable experience I would defintiely recommend to other families or groups of friends!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
