Experience a Tropical Paradise living in our very unique and preserved cottage built in 1924. It is located on a lovely 3/4 acre well- maintained Historic Florida Property with lots of mature oak trees and Royal palm trees with views of Sarasota Bay in the charming Ringling Museum neighborhood.
Enjoy your morning coffee outside under a roofed courtyard with table and chairs, while listening to the ocean breeze and birds singing or BBQ in the evening while watching the sunset. Or perhaps, relax with a book in our old fashion hammock under the palm trees.
Our Cottage is newly renovated and finished in the spring of 2010, about 900 sq.ft., and offers one great Grand Room with 3 large windows with Florida garden and Bay view, built-in entertainment center with fireplace, Queen size bed.
Full bath with built-in sink, large countertop and mirror, and bathtub. Private area outside bathroom with built-in closet and chest of drawers and built-in dressing table and mirror.
Fully equipped kitchen with everything one needs.
Tile and hardwood floor throughout the cottage. High ceiling with ceiling fans. New central air conditioning/heating. 32" Flat Panel LED TV with DVD Player connected to Verizon FIOS cable TV and wireless network for guest with laptop computers. Access to front load washer and dryer (ask for details).
This is a great area for walking, jogging or biking. We have two new Mountain bikes available for use. Enjoy the sunset at our very own neighborhood beach on Bayshore Rd. Experience a canoe trip along the shoreline and admire the million dollar estates from the water-front side.
This is a very peaceful and secure neighborhood with just the perfect location to everything!
The cottage is located within 5 minutes to: The Ringling Museum of Art and The John & Mable Ringling Estate - Ca d’Zan, Asolo Theatre, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota Ballet, Sarasota Opera, Jungle Gardens Zoological Garden, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Mote Marine Laboratory, Great shopping and dining Down Town Sarasota and St. Armand’s Circle, Lido Beach. Siesta Key with its powder white beaches is about 8 miles away. We will gladly assist you with courtesy transportation from the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport. Garmin GPS available for easy finding.

Lovely spot. Lovely people. Very close to Ringling museums and theater. A very spacious and well-furnished studio, spotlessly clean and in a very handsome neighborhood.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

A longtime friend & I escape the north every spring for some FL sun. This year we stayed at Chris & Ulrica's cottage in Sarasota. It's darling and far exceeded our expectations. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay, it's very clean, conveniently located to lots of attractions. Chris & Ulrica are delightful and will make you feel very welcome. My friend & I would definitely return if we visit Sarasota again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our stay was way above expectations. This was our first experience in renting a vacation home, Chris and Ulrica made it a wonderful stay and we are now hooked. They were very welcoming and helpful in directing us to places to go and helpped us enjoy the true beauty that is Sarasota. The location was close to shopping, beaches and downtown. Next time we are in Florida we will be looking to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Dears Ulrica and Chris, Our vacations have been very pleasant You are very kind, the studio is very pleasant and the sun was shining every day! We spent many holidays in Sarasota and every times , we are happy. Many, many beautiful houses, Many , many beaches and a " real" downtown center with restaurants and shops. Thank you to Ulrica who wrote me many times to give me help before my reservation. She have be very honnest with me. Thank you to Chris who was every day smiling and happy!
