The condo is centrally located in Tamarindo across the road from the Diria Hotel, which is right on the beach. There is a lagoon pool on the premises, which is accessible to anyone who stays in the condo. Access to the Diria and use of their amenities (pool, beach, restaurants, bar, etc.). One can walk to outstanding restaurants as well as shops from the hotel, so really no need for a car, unless one wants to travel outside of Tamarindo. There is surfing, swimming, sportfishing, etc within close proximity to the condo.

About the owner: My wife and I live full-time in Newport Beach, CA. We raised four son's who are all grown up and living fairly close to the house that we (my wife and I) brought the family up in. I am retired from the high-tech rat-race and my wife is the Executive Director of a non-profit organization, named, 'Casa Youth Shelter.' www.casayouthshelter.org. Why the Owner Chose Tamarindo: I was 11 years old when I first watched 'The Endless Summer.' I dreamed of surfing Costa Rica for more than 40 years, until my second to the oldest son and I decided to travel down and check it out. We flew from LAX via Houston and landed in Liberia (CR). With our rental car and boards intact, we drove the hour long (easy drive) journey South to Tamarindo. For our first foray, we stayed at the 'Diria Hotel,' which is right in the center of town located on Tamarindo beach. I prearranged a meet-up with a local realtor, who drove us around to look at various properties. I wasn't planning on buying any property while down there, but was so taken by the whole scene that I put a deposit (later purchased it once it was completed) on the condo (Matapalo #405) and purchased out-right a 1/2 acre lot located at Hacienda Pinilla which is approximately 20 minutes south of town (Tamarindo). We'll be building a hacienda on the lot in the not-too-distant future. The condo (Matapalo#405) is the nicest development in town. It is centrally located and a very short walk to the beach. The view from the balcony is amazing! The lagoon pool and swim-up bar is second-to-none. I waited 40 years to surf Costa Rica; if I had known how wonderful a place Tamarindo Beach, the people, the surf and the country was, I would have boarded that plane at age 11! If you decide to travel down, I can't say enough good things about the location. It's prime real estate! The best, of the best....If you've been there before, you know what I mean. If you are considering traveling there for the first time....pura vida! It's one of the best places on earth.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: The nicest, highest quality development in Guanacaste, if not all of Costa Rica. The condo is located close to the center of town so one can walk to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. If you are planning on staying in town (Tamarindo) only, no need to rent a car. The condo comes equipped with two TV's, both on cable, WiFi, fully appointed kitchen, BBQ on the balcony. It's self-contained, so you really have all of the creature comforts of home.
