Private Home Steps from the Beach in Perfect Location to Town
- Minimum stay:2-7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No

In the quaint Baja town of Loreto, this brand new, 2 bedroom home is located only steps from the beach and the amazing Sea of Cortez. The home is fully equipped and has all the amenities including air conditioning, two lovely terrace areas, one on the rooftop with amazing panoramic views of the ocean, palm trees, and the La Giganta mountains. Finished with the best of Mexican workmanship, the limestone and Mexican tile makes the home warm and inviting.
The home is furnished with comfortable furniture and the kitchen features stainless appliances and even a dishwasher. It is also very well equipped with all dishes, pots, pans and utensils. One bedroom has a Cal-King sized bed (6' wide and 7' long) and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. There is also an airbed for additional sleeping. One bathroom is conveniently located on the main floor, accessible from both bedrooms with separate doors. It features 2 sinks and a roomy shower. The second bathroom with sink, shower, and toilet is on the third floor.
The home was finished construction in 2010, and was insulated with a new technology of foam block, making it soundproof, as well as warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The property is fenced with large gates, so you can park your vehicle or boat securely.
The location of Casa de Perla is truly one the biggest advantages of this home. The home is located on the North end of town, which is a quiet oceanfront suburb full of upscale homes. However, the oceanfront Malecon is located only 2 blocks away, and leads to some of the best restaurants in town or walking down our paved street just eight blocks leads you to the heart of the town square, hosting more restaurants, taco stands, the bank, ice cream shops, salons, and shops full of Mexican souvenirs.

The description of the Casa de Perla is accurate, but you really have to stay at this home to appreciate how amazing it is. The amenities are top shelf, and it's immaculate - but there's something about the layout that is just a lot of fun. The 'upstairs' bathroom is a singular experience (in a good way) and the top floor terrace is perfect for sunbathing or enjoying the night breeze. The main floor terrace is also beautiful and the perfect place for a leisurely breakfast. The wireless internet was very convenient and made it possible to use "Google Earth" to 'explore' the backroads visually before heading out the door to find something. The bed was comfortable and the bedrooms are decorated beautifully. Showers were very luxurious as there was good water pressure and ample hot water. The drinking water set-up was ingenious and efficient. The property itself felt very secure, not that there was a reason to feel 'insecure' or anything, but being able to close the big drive-through doors was comforting. The house is in a nice place in town, just close enough to be able to walk but far enough away it was reasonably quiet. There is a little building going on with houses close by, but it wasn't terribly distracting. Loreto is a wonderful town and very comfortable. We will definitely be going again, and will want to stay at the Casa de Perla when we do. Thanks so much to Jan and Dan for making this property available!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We very much enjoyed calling this place home for our l0 day stay in Loreto. It was clean, comfortable, and well-located. Both bedrooms felt like a "master" with great beds. The kitchen/living area/dining space was well furnished and included an easy to use TV! But best of all was the upper deck, which gave us a 360 degree view of mountains, water, and the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. The town of Loreto is quiet and sweet and we always felt safe walking back to our house at night. The people in Loreto always broke into a big smile when we greeted them with "Ola" or "buenas dias". Be sure to have fish tacos at Las Islas on the water.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: Currently we live in a small town in British Columbia, Canada called Christina Lake and own and operate a Vacation Rental business there, so we know what it takes to provide a comfortable well equipped vacation property. In 2008, our first grandchild, Pearl was born. She is the biggest joy in our lives! Well before she was born we were already envisioning family vacations away to Mexico and looking forward to watching her grow up routinely visiting the amazing town of Loreto. She will probably speak more fluent Spanish than us!
Why the Owner Chose Loreto:
We discovered Loreto in 2006, while vacationing with friends. We loved the authentic Mexican feel and friendly inviting local warmth. We enjoy walking down town almost unable to carry on a conversation for having to return Hola and Buenas Diaz from the locals we passed by. Not only is the town delightful and charming, but the surrounding areas offered us amazing activities and places to explore as well. We were forever changed by the marvelous hiking, gorgeous white sand beaches, remarkable missions, and stunning desert and mountains. Since our first trip there we have kayaked to national geographic worthy beaches, experienced the excitement of deep sea fishing & scuba diving, and toured to incredible uninhabited islands. The flavor of the town drew us in with its’ quaint shops, great restaurants with reasonable prices, and walking around the little town into in the evening, and seeing firsthand the Mexican culture and celebrations. Back in Canada, we live in one of the most beautiful areas of the world, but we absolutely fell in love with vacationing in Loreto.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
After staying in many different locations while building, we especially appreciate how comfortable and well equipped Casa de Perla is with comfy beds and good quality cotton linens. The fridge is fed with purified water which is a real bonus. Every trip to Loreto we discover more. Last trip we found a great grocery store only a couple of minutes walk away and 'Zumba' classes that are only 5 minutes away. We walk to town or the Malecon a few times every day and always seem to pass by the ice cream store. The locals remember us from visit to visit and always give a warm welcome which is so special.
