  I can't believe that anyone who stayed at your home could write anything but a glowing review of their time there. The short of it is, we loved our stay in your home. It is beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well-equipped. And, oh yeah, there's that view. I think when we arrived that Saturday, I just dropped my bags in the living room and sat on the porch for half an hour just staring. When my niece arrived on Sunday, her first stop was the hammock in the front yard. My daughter loved the rope swing chair on the porch. As the early riser in the group, enjoying my coffee quietly while watching the osprey swoop and the ferry and sailboats glide by was the definition of peaceful. The beds were very comfortable, and each room having its water view was great. One evening we entertained three friends who are year-round residents. The kitchen couldn't have been better equipped. Eating and drinking wine as the sun set was amazing. Our friends were very impressed with your house. The convenience of the location of the house was also a plus. Being there, we felt completely away from it all, yet it was just a short car ride to either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven, and from there the rest of the island. It's also close enough that I easily made the lovely walk to and from Oak Bluffs. Lastly, did I mention the beautiful view? Oh, yeah, anything I'd change? The only thing I'd change is our spending more time there. You have possibly the perfect house. It truly is a wonderful experience to stay there.

  We loved everything about the house and its location. We were snug and comfy. There were plenty of blankets and towels. The house has a wonderful feeling about it...like there has been happiness there and has been cared for over the years. The only thing we found lacking at the cottage was a potato masher!! My review is 5 stars!

  Your home is tastefully appointed and in the best setting. No extra tchotchkes around collecting dust...great colors, beautiful touches. Your master bedroom has the best view. We wanted to take the image in our mind's eye....I think I got it! Thank you also for the luxurious sheets in there. A huge treat. My favorite about the island is right there on your corner of Crystal Lake!!

  It's a whirlwind of a summer for us and it was launched with a wonderful week on Martha's Vineyard! Your house is delightful and was clean as could be. We loved the decor, the comfort of the large downstairs bedroom, the abundant supplies, from serving pieces to beach towels, umbrellas and chairs, and we especially loved the screened porch. We were out and about every day and loved sitting on the porch from early morning until sunset. Thank you for all the special extras that were included with your home, which is charming and reminiscent of simpler and, in some ways, sweeter times.

  We so enjoyed another June vacation on East Chop! There is something that is so welcoming about your house, and we love every minute of being there. I thought the new linens and paint in the master bedroom were terrific. We would like to come back during the same time period in June of 2013. It is always a pleasure to be able to stay in your beautiful and special place.

  We truly had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed your house. My word what an amazing place you have. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon it. I have to admit that I am in love with the house. I could sit on the porch and stare at the ocean for eons. It certainly offers its inhabitants such a peaceful view and a quiet, relaxing stay. I love the fact that it has clearly been well loved over the years and is not new construction. The babies loved climbing up and down the steps, running all around the downstairs, including the porch, and bathing in the clawfoot tub each night. I was not sure what to expect with their sleeping, but they slept more soundly than they do in the city, so all of us were able to decompress and definitely benefited from being in such peaceful surroundings. I particularly appreciate good, cushy down pillows as there is nothing worse than a horrible synthetic pillow that has to be beaten into submission. We also very much appreciated the wonderful handbook you have compiled for visitors. I feel pretty confident that we will be back next year, and I would love to stay a little longer. I am so glad we found such a special place to spend our first, true family vacation.

  Thanks for another great vacation! We are already looking forward to next summer. My daughter loves the Island more each summer and spent hours this year enjoying the porch and scenery! We so enjoy East Chop and the cottage. Thanks again for having such a wonderful, magical spot where we already have so many great memores and hopefully many more to come.

  We had another great vacation with nearly perfect weather, and certainly hope to return next summer for our third vacation in your home. It was nice to have the new Weber grill and TV, and the place looks great with the new art work on freshly painted walls. Naturally we spent many hours on the porch; our five year old niece loved the new rope swing - she all but slept in it! Looking forward to being in touch.

  The house was perfect and the weather could not have been better! We rented a fishing boat for a day, we biked and hiked and went to the beaches to swim and ate a lot of good food! Honestly your house is lovely and it was perfect for our family. I am very interested in coming back nex year and am even thinking of doing two weeks - one with (grown) kids, and one without!!!

  We absolutely loved staying at your charming house. We have been spending a week or two on East Chop each summer since the 1960s and have not had the pleasure of renting a more perfect Vineyard cottage. It has an outstanding screened porch for reading, having breakfast or dinner, watching the ferries and sailboats go by and catching some of the island’s most gorgeous sunsets. The entire house is immaculately kept and well stocked with towels, linens and everything you need to prepare and serve meals. The great kitchen and family room blend the charm of a Vineyard classic with comfortable updated furniture and two good TVs for watching movies and baseball. The two large (king-sized) bedrooms with ample closet space, two bedrooms with full-size beds, two nice full bathrooms and a great outside shower, make it extremely comfortable. The proximity to Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Vineyard Haven and a variety of great beaches is ideal to us.
