Absolutely beautiful house
This house is absolutely beautiful. From the layout to the art and decorating, this is not a standard house rental, this is a house that is truly exquisite. Each room has a flair of the French Provence – a bit eceletic, a bit modern, such a great mix of style – with great art and decorative pieces. The kitchen was brand new and our bedrooms all had double sinks and very nice beds and linen bedding. The house is perfectly located, close to Avignon, Gordes, the highway and Luberon valley. It was 20 minutes to Chateauneuf de Pape and the same distance to Gordes and Avignon. There is a local village a 15 minute bike ride away – and the house had 4 bikes – a great morning activity to enjoy a café and fetch some baquettes. Beverly was wonderful to deal with and so helpful, arranging reservations, giving advice on markets, local attractions, wineries, etc. You can tell she really enjoys what she does as she is very friendly and loves to have a good laugh. In fact, I left some clothes at the house when we departed and Beverly sent them to me right away – at her expense – to which I am reimbursing her for. I wish I had a Beverly for every vacation that I take!

Beautiful and very well maintained homeGuest comment entered by manager
Beautiful and very well maintained home
I first just want to say that Beverly Ferriz is a wonderful asset to the home owners that she represents. From the very beginning in deciding which property to rent, she not only sent emails with multiple photographs of the properties but also gave a thorough explanation of the amenities that each property possessed. At the very end she directly contacted me by telephone and her ability to speak English helped make all the decision making very easy. I finally decided on the property Mas des Sorgues in Le Thor, France. The grounds and the house are quite beautiful and very well maintained. We were a group of twelve adults and the house fitted us all beautifully. The outside areas such as the covered dining room, beautiful seating areas under a covered pergola and another charming area under an old Acacia tree was quite stunning in the way it was lit at night time. But of course, the stunning pool area with its covered Moroccan themed lounge was just beautiful. It was all very well thought out which is a credit to the home owners. The lovely décor of the home as well as the quality of the bed, bath, and pool linens was wonderful. The vast array of dishes and serving pieces made life easy for our chef. The housekeeping service was polite and charming and did an excellent job. At night, the grounds and pool area were beautifully lit creating a wonderful and an enchanting atmosphere at night. The house is very secure with electric gates and walls with very lush landscaping keeping the property quite private. Beverly greeted us at arrival and made a few visits during our stay which was thoughtful and fun. She helped me hire Cosette, a local chef, who was not only lovely but her expertise in the kitchen as well as her beautiful presentation of the food had my guests standing and applauding her every day. I highly recommend that she be hired to complete your lovely Provence experience. From start to finish, Beverly was really an asset to our group and I would highly recommend that you use her service as well as renting the lovely home, Mas des Sorgues. It was a totally wonderful experience in Provence. Merci beaucoup to Beverly and the home owners of Mas des Sorgues. James DeFelice Rented Mas des Sorgues, June 23-30, 2012.

Great trip to Provence!
Great trip to Provence!
We stayed for a week in Mas des Sorgues with our two children and another family. We all loved the house, the grounds, the pool and the nearby towns. The home is impeccable and it is furnished in very good taste. The kitchen is fully stocked and it has everything you need, and each living space is very comfortable and easy. There are also numerous outdoor spaces tailored to eating, lounging or visiting. And, the bikes and ping pong table were an added bonus for our two families with active children! It couldn't have been a better place to stay, and we wish we could have been there longer. Beverly, the caretaker, will handle everything you need and she's very efficient and organized. She can also help arrange catering or other services while you're here. She speaks English AND French, which comes in very handy for those from the US. There were two drawbacks to the house: first, it didn't have a WC in each bedroom; the master was the only full bathroom with a WC and the other WCs were located in central hallways and bathrooms had to share them. Second, the house doesn't have air conditioning and it could get quite warm upstairs at night. This could be solved with some additional fans in the bedrooms and Beverly offered to buy them, if needed. These were two small shortcomings, and not enough to prevent us from having an amazing vacation! We'd highly recommend Mas des Sorgues. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Stunning provencal villaGuest comment entered by manager
Stunning provencal villa
Mas des Sorgues is a stunning provencal villa. The website photos do it great justice. It is clearly decorated by a professional. There is elegance and style in every room, each staged in such a way that comfort and function reign. From the moment we stepped on to the property, the full-equipped villa felt like home. For our group of 11, there were always places one could find quiet and privacy to journal or read and an abundance of comfortable rooms perfect for large group socializing. It was days of living in the wonderful and plentiful outdoor seating areas before we even had to take advantage of the largest room in the house--the living room! Once discovered, we built a roaring fire each night to balance our rainy days. We found the kitchen table and island to be the heart of the home and enjoyed many conversations while cooking and nibbling. The bicycles in the closet were especially appreciated and afforded us some nice long country rides. Our good fortune was they had the perfect bicycle with training wheels for our 3 year old and the couple-acre property with gravel driveway afforded us the opportunity to ride within the confines. We had many a race and no shortage of evening walks along with a number of rousing games of hide-and-seek. Our family even hid oranges outside (instead of Easter eggs) for our Easter morning hunt. Our single surprise is that only the master bedroom has an en suite toilet. The other bedrooms all have baths or showers and sinks and share a toilet down the hall. There is a toilet on each floor for these bedrooms. The location of the house is superb. We grocery shopped in Le Thor. And numerous small villages surrounding each provided their own special treat be it market, boulangerie, or tourist sight. Very nearby is Isle Sur La Sorgue and its wonderful open air market. Practically across the street is the Grotte de Thouzon. Avignon is a short drive as is St. Remy, Rousillon, Gordes, Bonniuex and many others. We even did a long day trip to the Camargues. Mas de Sorgues is quiet, lovely, well-priced and highly recommendable. Property manager, Beverly, is as good as they come. She was so sweet and solicitous and made herself completely available at all times to our every need, she made great recommendations for places to eat and sights to see...we wanted to take her home and she could easily have become a good friend had we lived in Provence full-time. Last, and certainly not least is we hired Cosette to cook dinner for us one n

Memorable family holiday
Hi Beverly, " We have rented several houses in the Luberon and this one is the best, surpassing our expectations. The interior is superbly appointed, done in great taste. The exterior is quite spectacular with a dramatic entrance lined with lavender bushes. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living and dining, enhanced by the summer kitchen and dining tables under the pergolas. Our grandchildren loved the pool and table tennis. Beverly, the house manager, and her staff gave us superb service. It was a memorable family holiday and we would gladly vacation at Mas des Sorgues again." Anne and Ron, Toronto Canada
