  My husband abd I just returned from a wonderful stay at Still Point. Our son got married on the island at one of the resorts. we wanted a place to stay that was close to everything but also quiet for us to catch our breath inbetween all the events! Still Point was just the place! It was so nice to return home to our cottage. The beds were comfortable and everything was provided for us. We even had maid service. We were right across the street from the water. I was lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the water. It was near restaurants, grocery stores, and some very nice shopping! We plan to return to Still Point very soon!!!

  My family and I have been to Harbour Island several times and have stayed at Still Point twice. I am originally from the Bahamas and know how important it is to visit the family out islands. The Bahamas has so many great places to visit and the flavour of the small family islands is where you feel the heart and soul of the islands. Harbour Island is really one of favourite places on earth. And Still Point is a great place to visit. It's more than a place to plant your bags. The beds are comfy (we've stayed in 2 different rooms); the kitchen is updated and has everything you need; and the air conditioning works great in the heart of the summer! We have been there in November and July and both are equally incredible. In July of last year, my husband and I took our 2 boys, along with my sister and her husband and 2 children, and we had more than enough space. Still Point is super convenient to the local grocery store, bakery or the Landing where you can eat a fabulous brunch or dinner. The days are filled with a very short walk or golf cart ride to the beach or to the local snorkeling or boating marinas. There's incredible diving and fishing all near Harbour Island and Eleuthera. The evenings are pretty incredible: cocktails on the porch or on the sun deck with a view of the sunset that is unmatched. You won't hesitate to come back!

  Owner response: Still Point is ideally located in the center of the historic village- and right on the water! Our front porch is the perfect location to sit with a morning cup of coffee watching the boats entering the harbour, and the bone fishermen at their sport. Spending way too much time in my car back home, one of the things I really like to do while at Still Point is walk to the local stores for my daily necessities. I love to take note of the front gardens and wildlife along the way, and usually end up meeting and having a pleasant conversation with another vacationer doing the same thing! Harbour Island is the perfect place to slow down and appreciate the simpler things in life. No matter how long my stay is, I always wish I had just a few more days before leaving for home. That's when you know you have had the perfect vacation!

  Our foursome spent 5 bucolic days at Still Point. This home is perfectly situated, beautifully and lovingly decorated, and has much more space than photos suggest. There is main house with downstairs master and bath, upstairs twin bedroom with bath, fully equipped kitchen. There is a beautiful garden with shaded terrace, dining table, couch and chairs, reading lights as well as landscape lighting of palm trees that lends magical flare at night. The guest cottage is actually almost as large as the main house, with large bedroom/sitting area with vaulted ceiling, walkin closet, large bathroom. There is a gorgeous and spacious rooftop deck with views out over the ocean--did I mention that the house is about ten feet from the water, looking out over the bay and with its own dock where you can tie up a boat for the week? The owner was incredibly helpful with restaurant advice, golf cart and boat rentals--and lots of small details that made our first trip to HI a wonderful vacation--it made a tremendous difference to have such an interested and interactive homeowner to correspond with. We rented golf cart for the five minute trip to the beautiful sand beach (house has oodles of towels, chairs, umbrellas)--and easy access to the whole island--walkable to town dock, Arthur's bakery, Piggly Wiggly grocery and fishing docks/shops in town. Loved sitting on front porch and watching pedestrians stroll by in the morning--everyone is so friendly--and sitting on rooftop deck for sunsets and star-gazing! the house feels quite spacious because of all the outdoor living space--front porch, large terrace, rooftop deck, guest house has its own proch as well. We will return, and have aleady recommended to two friends.

  Owner response: My husband and I purchased Still Point a number of years ago, knowing that we would not be able to spend a lot of time there until we become "empty nesters"- therefore we open our home to guests who, hopefully, appreciate everything about our home that we fell in love with. We take personal pride in making certain that our guests have a wonderful time, and that Still Point becomes their home away from home! We know most of the locals, and are familiar with all of the establishments- and I am happy to make any recommendation that will ensure a successful vacation.

  This wasn't our first trip to Harbour Island and won't be our last. But Still Point will be our destination. The pictures on the website were so lovely, we wondered if it would meet our expectations when we finally arrived. MET AND SURPASSED! The location was perfect; the view from our front porch was spectacular; the house was charming and so well appointed. There was nothing the owners overlooked. Their library was so eclectic and had something for everyone. I read two of their books and put my own aside. Relaxation is imminent. There is no choice but to join the islanders in their lifestyle. Thank you to the owners who made us feel so at home. Actually Jody called and e-mailed while we were there to check in. She was wonderful.

  Still Point well exceeded our expectations! It is tastefully decorated in cozy comfortable cottage style & very clean. We very much enjoyed the home which had every thing we could need.... lots of room, comfy beds, lots of linens, beach towels, books, games, new kitchen to cook in, electronic gadgets, perfect location....and the private gardens really set this home apart. The landscaping is beautiful & the lighting allowed us to enjoy this area from morning to night...which we did. Here is where we gathered for breakfast, lunch, & dinner, played games, put puzzles together, read books & took naps. We also enjoyed the guest cottage which is quite special. The location of Still Point is perfect....close to shopping, eating, bakery, the beautiful view of the bay. The membership to Coral Sands is an added bonus. We used the membership everyday. It is a beautiful property....easy to get to, the pool is very nice, food & drink good, but nothing can describe the beauty of the ocean & that beautiful pink sand beach. We have been to many of the islands & this is the most beautiful beach we have every seen & enjoyed! Jodi the homeowner was a joy to work with! She made us feel more than just paying customers. She made us feel like guests in her beautiful bahamian home. We highly recommend this home....young & old!
